Micheladas were EXCELLENT. Try the Francesa if you want something sweet- muddled with strawberries and Tajin. My husband had the Clamato and loved it. On Mondays they are $3.5. Good deal as they come in a large mason jar. In fact, they had a decent drink special every night. What a spot! Great pizza and phenomenal beer selections makes this place a winner. I have to say that Yelpers 'round this neck of the woods can sometimes exaggerate on reviews, rating places like Chicos tacos 5 stars. While I love me some Chicos and respect everyone's reviews, I can't honestly say that the "miracle rolled taco hangover cure" deserves a perfect score, but allow me to digress. Coco Miel is one of those places that one can easily oversee while driving by. It doesn't really stand out all that much and with the huge selection of dining establishments in "El Chuco" it really is easy to blend in and harder to pick a spot to chow down. Walked in looking for direction as to where to sit and was told to sit wherever the heck we wanted. Grabbed a table and waited as Alex our "advisor" (more on that later) made his way towards us. I asked Alex what beers he recommended and he immediately suggested 3 or 4 out of the hundreds they have and brought me over some samples. I decided on a beer made by Stone brewing company out of San Diego and it was right on point! Alex is not your typical waiter, this guy knows his stuff. He knows the beer selections and food they serve perfectly and exactly how to pair it, making him my Coco Miel advisor. He suggested the Coco Sink pizza and we were all about trying something new and out of the norm. Alex brought out the thin crusted pizza and set it on the table and everything gets fuzzy from here on out. As I slapped a slice of the strange looking, but deliciously smelling pie on my plate I didn't know what to expect. Let me tell you that I've had quite a few pies in my lifetime ranging from authentic New York pizza to Chicago to real deal Italian pies in Naples, the birthplace of the creation, and this one is now in contention for the first place spot. The taste was amazing and different. Not your typical pie, this thing was loaded with unorthodox toppings I refuse to divulge as to not ruin your surprise. From what I understand no two Coco Sink pizzas are made exactly alike, so it really doesn't matter. I love uniquity and this thing was chock full of it. Amazing food and experience all together. We will be back on Tuesday as they have live music and other shenanigans. The food was excellent, despite some of the pizza crust being burnt black. We got the salmon pizza and the club sandwich with sweet potatoe fries. The reason it's a three is the massive amount of flies and crumbs. There were crumbs on the seats, tables and floor. We had to constantly defend our food from flies. And something bit me from under the table, so now my leg is swelling up with a super itchy bug bite :/ If they clean this place up and get rid of the bugs this place would be a 5 :) read more

The very good: pizza (Italian meat with a crackling crust and delicious flavors), and italian cream soda. The not-so-good: the things they worked at de/re-constructing, e.g., the cuban (which was not pressed and had both the pickle and the sauce on the side) and the tres leches (a stiff cream cheese icing that's more the texture of fondant and contains shredded coconut, topping a stiff coarse cake). I just ordered the Oriental salad. I heard it was a great salad. Well- not this time. The salad was not appealing. I ordered the salad with grilled chicken. The chicken looked raw and not a grill mark anywhere. It looked like a piece of plastic. The lettuce was brown in most of the mix. I counted three mandarins. Needless to say, I found it inedible. How do you allow something like that to leave your restaurant? I spent half the time taking out the old lettuce and the other half looking for mandarins. There was so much purple onion in it, the salad tasted just like onion and nothing else. I threw it out. Why keep picking through a salad you are obviously not going to enjoy! A group of 12 of us came at CINCO DE MAYO for a fun karaoke night that was promised by a huge sign on their awning. We asked for a book of songs when we arrived and received it 2 hours afterwards. They only had one waitress working who knew very little about the drinks menu and ignored many of our requests, mostly due to her being overworked, it seemed. The food & drink are overpriced for what you get, and half of their beer list is nonexistent. All and all, a fail & not recommended for a karaoke night. read more

I have been here twice now and the first time was delicious. I ordered the margherita pizza and my sister got the Hawaiian pizza. It was the best margherita pizza I have ever had. Everything was so fresh! The second time around I ordered the bruschetta with chicken as an appetizer and it was very tasty; although the chicken was a little cool. Then I ordered the margherita pizza again and it tasted very plain. Every time I saw a meal come out of the kitchen they all looked artfully prepared and very fresh. The Good: 1. The pizza tasted ok. It was a little fakey fakey, in that pretentious, I AM GOING TO PRETEND I CAN STONE BAKE PIZZA kind of way, but that was ok. Lots of cheese meant it was good. The Bad: 1. The place is super, super cramped and often busy. If you've got a bigger group than 3, forget about finding a spot without a wait of at least an hour. If you're like me, you don't like people creepin' up into your business, particularly when you are eating. Shudddder. 2. The wait staff is a bunch of hipster kids who kind of suck at their jobs. They messed up our tickets and credit cards, so I ended up paying for someone else's meal, and he paid for mine...Then, when I finally managed to hunt down the manager (25 year old owner dude with a mullet and skinny jeans), they did it again. Irritation. Let me tell ya. Let me rant here for a second. I don't want to go out to eat at a semi-fancy place where a freakin' soda is like five bucks and I have to witness super infinitely cool kids suck down glasses of sixteen dollar a glass wine, then have to get charged double what I ate, and then get ignored, and THEN still get charged wrong again. YOU GUYS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE KINDA UPSCALE. So....please. Don't make such a low and beneath you kind of cheapo-restaurant mistake. I expect this stuff from like a McDonald's or like, the Olive Garden, but you guys?? You guys with your absurd Frenchy sounding hip name? Come on! Now I gotta wait a week til the bank voids the first two charges. I have to check my bank account compulsively and check after them to make sure I get my money back. Talk about a pain in the ass. Oh! Great food in a small space. We had the roasted vegetable sandwich and Cuban sandwich. Both had amazing flavors. Around us people were eating delicious looking pizzas and salads- we'll definitely return to try those, too. We also had a side dish of chorizo potatoes- wow! There was a beer and wine bar that looked inviting, another area to investigate on our return! The only downside was that it only held about 10 tables/booths but did have bar eating if you didn't mind that. I saw a couple of people turn away when they saw the tables were full (we went at 1pm on a Friday). Overall I'll take the chance on seating and return again! read more

My husband and I came here on a Friday night date and it just might be our new favorite spot. "They had me at... The beer selection," said my husband. Their variety is the most impressive in El Paso. They have five pages dedicated to adult beverages. Then there's the food. We ordered the kitchen sink pizza and were pleasantly surprised. It was a flat New York style pizza that garnered the fragrance of a veggie pizza however bit was accompanied with the pleasant presence f pepperoni and salami. All their dishes were quite unique. Although the space is a bit small, the ambiance was very cozy. AND they had live entertainment! Can't get much better. My husband feels like he's back in New York. My first time, took my 3 daughters for a Girls night out. The food was outstanding, the service was crappy! We went before the dinner rush, so I was pretty disappointed. My oriental salad was fab!My youngsters had the pepperoni pizza, they loved it! They are big eaters,and they had leftovers! My teen had the mango habanero wings, she loved them! I went there tonight with 2 friends. We ate and drank moderately. We ordered a large pizza with Pepperoni and green pepper. The cost was 31.00?? We also ordered a couple of their craft beers (7.00 ea). When it was all said and done our bill was 255.00 for 3 people. They charge outrageous prices for mediorcre food and drinks that are not even close to be a good pour. The band was really good, but not worth the money it costs to eat and drink there. read more

I have been here many times since it opened. I don't know if there was a change in management or not but this time the food was AWFUL! I mean it was pretty gross. My husband ordered the chicken avocado sandwich and when it came, all the chicken fat was still on the chicken. My husband asked what it was and they said they thought it was "seasoning". After everyone realized what it was, it was sent back because they were making "a new chicken sandwich" for him. Lie. They brought back the same chicken, with the skin scraped off and freezing cold. A small quaint location that has seen quite a few different restaurants come and go, but hopefully this one will stick around. The address is confusing, it actually faces Vista Del Sol, but the mall front faces Lee Trevino. Same shopping center as Kobe and Diamond Shamrock, it faces what I believe was a Chase Bank. The service was decent, the food took a while to be served, but once it was, it was fantastic. I ordered the lasagna and was only able to eat half. It was baked individually which explains the delay in the order but it was delicious. We also ordered the club sandwich and had difficulty eating it because it was so large, also only able to eat half. I think for both of us it came out to $24 if I remember correctly. This place is great and has a romantic feel about it. The food is fantastic. Staff is friendly and helpful. On my last visit I tried the pizza and the cheese steak. Both were excellent. Food had an authentic taste to it. Pizza is comparable to pizza in New York. Wednesdays is Wino Wednesdays any bottle of wine is on sale. I highly recommended this restaurant. We're just visiting for the weekend and we found this little gem from some friends. The service was great, we ordered two different calzones and the bread itself made the world of difference. It was delicious. It's small so there can be a wait if it's dinner time but their fast and very friendly. We happened on music night and it was such a nice change from the chain restaurants.
