It reminds me of restaurants in other cities. It's swanky with a great selection of alcoholic beverages. It's not upscale but pretty casual with a bar atmosphere. I've only gone during the day during lunch and have no desire to go in the evenings where I'll probably bump into inebriated crowds. Pizza is of pretty generous portion and yummy, light. If you like stone baked pizzas, you'll like theirs. Theirs is of the thin crust variety. I usually have a soup and sandwich combo. Sometimes the soups are on the heavy / greasy side but their sandwiches are fresh and not lacking in filling. Their portions are large; my friend once ordered a caprese salad and she couldn't finish it. My family and I went a few nights ago and ordered 2 wheat medium pizzas and a salad. The salad was good, the pizzas were the worst pizzas I've had in El Paso. And yes that includes chuck e cheese and peter piper. The only thing that was good about it was it was fresh ingredients. But there was no sauce on the pizzas except for on the crust. Really? And they were burnt. I couldnt taste anything but burt dough. Gross. And for the price?! I expected the best pizza I've Ever had. NOPE. I will never go back. We had a bunch of left overs and brought them home... Theyre still in the fridge. No one wants to eat that again. I should just warm it up and take it all to a homeless person. I accidentally left my wallet there while eating dinner last night. The manager Pepe Diaz was absolutely no help in finding it. He doesn't speak English and turned away from me when I asked for his help in looking at the security camera that I was sitting under. I asked for a translator and he said no one at the restaurant speaks Spanish. Which obviously is not true. I had to file a police report because they wouldn't help me. Boasting an expansive menu, this new-Italian restaurant has something to please everyone, including pizza, pasta, salads, and sandwiches (both hot and cold). Their menu is a bit busy though and it might take you a bit to actually take in all that they have. Everything I've tried there however has always come out delicious. They also have a full bar, though I haven't tried anything from it. The ambiance is top notch with a mix of old classic furniture pieces and post modern artworks. This restaurant bar is great. They have a great atmosphere, superb beer selection, and it's great for vegetarians and meat lovers! It's a little tiny but great for date night or drinks with friends. There's live music on the the other side of the bar some times. read more

We really liked Coco.Miele. The ambience is a bit fresher and hipsterish than most. Yes it is small. I'd recommend getting there earlier than usual and enjoying a drink or a beer from their extensive beer menu. This was heavy on European beer, esp Belgians which I liked. We started with bread sticks and bruschetta. The former came with a rich marinara. None of it lasted long. I split a Rustic Supreme with my date. Loved it. One of my companions had a large salad with salmon (I think). She raved about it. The young woman waiting on us was all smiles. She admitted that this was her second day waiting tables in this restaurant having spent time behind the bar. We couldn't notice the difference - service was great. read more

Coco.Miel is a great place to eat. The pizza is amazing and 9-10 time the customer service is great. I've visited this restaurant around 3-4 times in the last few months and only once I've received poor customer service from my waiter but this always after we got moved to the coco bar. I would strongly recommend you try the pizza and lemonade and these two are what keeps my family and I coming back. I was excited to try this place as I am an Italian food lover. The space is cozy. With a cool hip atmosphere. I reviewed the menu and settled on Caesar salad, and spaghetti and meatballs. The "Caesar salad" is not that at all it is a mixed green salad with Caesar dressing, onions, and tomatoes. On top of not really being a Caesar salad the salad comes in a small bowl, over flowing. It is tough to not make a mess while eating this. While the price is nice at $5 for this over flowing salad. They could easily make this portion their full size. I made a mess until the bartender gave me a plate to put under the bowl. The croutons had some component in them that had small pieces that were rock hard. On a positive note the lettuce was fresh and crisp. Moving on to spaghetti. Again, can easily half the portion and charge the same price. The sauce is good and meatballs were as well good, not dry. But the noodles were mush. To me, the most important part in pasta is where they failed the most. Overall, I would give this place another shot at some point. Just be prepared to bring your doggy bags. read more

I advise anyone who goes to the bar to be extra vigilant of their waitress. Some friends and I attended Coco bar for a live music event. The waitress over charged us not by a few dollars but for three times the amount due on our tab. I am going to try to be fair and say that this waitress took it upon herself to try to put extra cash in her pocket instead of assuming this is the way the bar trains their employees to conduct business. Long story short we either payed someone else's tab or a very hefty tip to the waitress. I do not feel comfortable going to a business that steals from patrons. I am giving this place 4 stars because the food is very good. However, there are some aspects that I don't like. To begin, the server we always seem to get takes a very long time to get to us with menus, to check on us, to bring us boxes, and to bring us the check. Last time we went there were about three girls working including our server. We waited for awhile for someone to check on us. Keep in mind, I am a very patient person. I am one of those people that will go through a one hour wait to eat at a place I really like. Not one of these three girls came to our table to check on us, and we needed a box and the check. My fiance had to go up to one of them when they were behind the bar to ask for the things we needed. We never got upset or expressed our impatience with them because we were very happy with our meal. The food also takes awhile to come out. I have been there three times. It is worth the wait, just don't go when you need to rush out. Despite the servers lack of attendance at our table, they are all very friendly. Also, as a side note, I don't like the sweet tea. Tastes like the sweet tea you buy in gallon jugs at WalMart. We often go for their pizza and we create our own, and it so so delicious. They have a good selection of beer as well. So I would definitely say it's a good place to go when you aren't in a hurry. read more
