Small bubbletea shop that also serves pastries and Filipino meals…read more Their standout offering, of course, is the bubbletea. The tea is loose-leaf, so is elevated from the typical bubbletea. But it's the tapioca that really makes the drink shine with how fresh and bouncy they are. For a tea shop, this place also has really good food. Tried the scones and they were super buttery, very flavourful, and were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside like all great scones. We also got some Filipino meals - the lechon kawali and lumpia super crispy, the bangsilog had a good portion size for the price, and the halo-halo was refreshing. Place is mainly a takeout spot, but there are a couple of small tables to sit 4. Service is friendly. Tea offerings are extensive. Worth a drop-by.

Cookies: The matcha white chocolate cookie was freshly made. Quite soft and delicious. Reasonably sized cookie. Yema cake: It was my first time having the Yema cake so I was looking forward to try it. I got the ube flavour and a soft chiffon cake texture. It wasn't too sweet and was perfect for a nice small dessert. The staff were friendly and the service was good. It's too bad there's limited seating as it would be great to dine-in. I definitely want to come back to try out their drinks!

It was tasty and very filling, and I would go back if I can. Location: The location is very casual, and it's a great place to maybe grab and go or take a quick seat. They do have really nice indoor decorations and even some chair swings, which I thought was a beautiful touch to the location. Perfect for a casual date or just to grab bubble tea with friends. We were walking within our hotel distance, so I'm not really sure how parking works within this location. Service: The service was quick and efficient. They don't have servers; you just grab from the counter and take a seat wherever you please. The workers were really nice and grabbed our order in a timely manner.

This Taiwanese bubble tea chain serves high quality and unique choices. They have the regular bbt drinks but additionally some fun options like purple yam , purple rice , and many cheese foam options. The seating area is also really great for customers. Definitely some good photo spots here - they have cute swing sets and neat LED displays. It's a great place to come study (because they have OUTLETS!!) or just hang out with friends

Last night, I was driving home from dinner downtown. I took backroads home and made an effort to…read morecut through my old neighbourhood of the Beaches (plural, because Balmy Beach + Woodbine beach = The Beaches), to figure out what has changed as I cruise along Queen Street East. I noticed this Gong Cha. It was new to me. It is located diagonally across from Kew Beach Public School, where I went to school many moons ago. There were people in the store. I decided to check it out. I made a left turn on Elmer Avenue, did a three-point turn, and parked southbound on it. I then took a brief walk over. The store has a mini ramp in front of the door. Accessibility is there for folks who have difficulties going up and down a step. The door, however, requires that you tug on it going into the store, so it could be challenging for those with dexterity issues. I was greeted by three male staff members. I realized with the balloons by the window and a sign that it was this store's grand opening. More importantly, I had come on the second-last day of its buy-one, get-one free drink deal to mark the occasion. Yay, me! I looked carefully at the BOGO bubble tea options. I settled for the following: - Pearl milk tea - QQ peach green tea Both drinks were large in size. I went with my usual order of less ice and no sugar for both of them I paid with my debit card. I tapped and all was great. I had the receipt texted to my phone. I added some change into the tip jar. I rarely have change and decided to use it. One man went in the prep area to make my teas. You don't see all the action happening like you do at most bubble tea stores. My guess is that this store is older and mall that it wasn't possible to showcase making the drinks in front of you. The weird thing was seeing his other two colleagues sitting on the floor. You'd think that perhaps staff could get stools or seats in this place. Nope. Shortly after I had added change to the tip jar, one of the seated men got up from the floor and counted how much was in said jar. It was weird to me, especially doing it in front of a customer. Anyway, I moved my focus over to the menu. This place makes croffles. I was elated to see them on the menu. Had I not been so stuffed from dinner, I would have ordered one. Next time! It didn't take long for my drinks to be made. The nice man asked if I wanted a bag. I said yes. He put a recycled tray for my drinks in a paper bag with handles, and gave me three straws from my two drinks. I'm not sure why I got an extra straw. Maybe he felt that I would lose one walking to my car. I thanked him and happily walked out with my drink haul. I then drove home. I had the pearl milk tea last night. So good! I love how yummy the roasted milk tea was. The tapioca was slightly sweet, which made my evening. This afternoon, I had the QQ peach green tea. The tapioca balls surprisingly held up nicely overnight. The coconut jelly has a better chance of being fine, so I wasn't worried about it. My drink was perfect. The green tea was refreshing and yummy. The peach flavour was subtle, but still noticeable. The toppings made this drink fun and enjoyable. I'd get it again. Today's the last day of this store's grand opening promotion. Even without it, I'd go back to try a croffle. I would imagine that parking can get crazy , especially during the summer. I got there at around 8:30 pm on a Sunday evening and had no problem finding a side street to park. Parking along Queen Street East was limited when I was there, as a few patios took up spots that used to be for parking. Welcome, Gong Cha! It's great to have a bubble tea place in the Beaches. I have had many bubble teas before but tried this place for the first time and I'm honestly in LOVE! It has Sago and Tapioca in the drink; both were quite good. The Halo Halo had too much ice so I'm not sure it is worth $9.99. It's so hard to find good bubble tea in this area and a well made HK egg waffle (aka bubble waffle to some) is extremely difficult to find! We ordered a large Iced Original Milk Tea with tapioca and a large Hot Honey Ginger Tea and got 2 waffles for less than $16! - ("START THE CAR") Now I see me getting fat here... The ginger tea was the best I've had in a while - very fresh; not at all weak and just the right amount of sweetness. The milk tea is not the creamy type but the flavor was very tasty. The tapioca was perfect - got the right amount of chew & bounce - every part was cooked well but not overcooked and not overly sweet. Will definitely get again!! The waffles were not too sweet, crispy on the outside, soft and airy on the inside and not at all dense and heavy like what I typically get stuck with in the south side of Markham - LOVED IT!! A definite must buy!! We got TWO of these!!! Next time we're getting it with matcha red bean... Customer service was great! Not pushy or pretentious - friendly, casual, and helpful. Place had some seating - not large but a good spot with friends. Just remember to get a stamp as 10 will get you a free drink and who doesn't like free? Tell them Foodie from Yelp sent you

I walked into Long Time No Tea and it was completely empty. I have to admit that the place is…read morereally cute and has a very instagrammable wall with neon lights. I was the only customer, and still, the service was bad. The lady at the front counter rushed me through my order and gave me my total even before I finished ordering and before I had a chance to ask about one of the menu items. She didn't seem too knowledgeable about the menu items, the owner (presumably) was on his laptop. The owner gets up to make my egg waffle, which took forever because there's only one waffle maker. The egg waffle was crap, it tastes like it's made from pancake mix... not at all the fluffy, custardy, eggy Hong Kong style egg waffle at all. It's like this place was setup by someone who doesn't know how to cook, but has an eye for marketing and social media. Tell me I'm wrong. I ordered the aloe green tea. I was thinking I wanted tapioca with it, but realizing that it probably came with aloe jelly I quickly took back my request for tapioca. The lady at the counter didn't even ask me if I wanted tapioca in addition to the jelly or instead of - hence my note on her not being so knowledgeable. Lady at the counter was also super slow at just operating in general, and since I was in a rush I was annoyed by this. Hoping this feedback gets to the owners.
