    Soft egg

Our first meal in Nice after a train ride down from Paris earlier that day. To start My husband had the soft egg with mushrooms and asparagus (delicious!) and I had the Ceasar salad with prosciutto which was good too. For dinner he ordered the duck with shrimps and vegetables, which must have been pretty good as he wouldn't share much with me. It featured two pieces of duck breast, seared with the skin on and two large prawns shelled, but with their heads still attached. The somolier recommended either a red for the duck or a white for the prawns, so my husband went with the Pinot Noir as it was light enough to go with both--good choice. For dessert we shared an apple tart with a light caramel sauce. Very good! The restaurant has chalk written menus in both French and English and they speak English very well--which was helpful for us. The clientele that evening was mostly English speaking, but that may have been a random event as it didn't appear to be touristy at all. The decor was lovely and the tables arrangements were fun as they had two sets of bench-style seating in the center of the restaurant. We were seated at one end of a bench, another couple at the other, and about half-way through dinner service a new couple arrived and we had to get up to let them in.

Great place to go for dinner. Food: menu was simple, 4 appetizers 4 main dishes and 3 dessert to choose from. Tried 3 of the appetizers which were all amazing. Had their lamb dish which was great and my friends tried the fish and rib eye. Everything was good. For desert I got the lemon tart dish. Overall food was really good. Service: best part of the restaurant. 2 servers were both very friendly and spoke great English. This definitely stood out from all other restaurants in nice. Great description of menu dishes. Ambiance: nice decor. In and outside seating. Price: 20 to 25 euro per main course.

The food and ambiance were great. Service was a bit slow as there was only one server. The server was very friendly and great, but when it started to get busy disappeared. I still highly recommend but would recommend coming in around 7:00 to avoid heavy traffic.

This is one of the best places for steak in Nice. They were a bit surprised that the guys ordered a steak for two each. Not very French but we were in the mood for steak. Great wine selection and wonderful hospitality. No rude people here! I'll upload some photos and you'll see for yourself

    Tuna with pineapple

Found this place on yelp as I was staying close by and it did not disappoint. We came on a Wednesday night which was great because Isabel had the time to help us choose a wine and walk us through each menu item. We decided on the tuna with pineapple and lamb with risotto which were both outstanding. For dessert we had the creme brûlée with coffee crust which was a nice way to end the meal. Such a delicious meal in a friendly and modern atmosphere I would highly recommend.

    Fish for the day

Went to this restaurant for dinner. Was greeted by a warm and lovely waitress. Had the rabbit meat for a starter and also the fish for dinner. The food and service was excellent. Would definitely come back again the next time I am at Nice. Do note however that the menu changes on a weekly basis if I am not mistaken depending on the season and ingredients. Got this info from the waitress herself.

Worst ribeye in my life, was so tough. Couldn't even cut it with a knife. FYI ordered it medium.

The pizza seemed like regular old pizza, it was so chewy and had a great bite. The cheeses also melded together so well. Loved loved loved. The gluten free pasta was penne which I was slightly disappointed because all gluten free places only offer penne pasta as the alternative and I would have thought this place would be different given it so highly touts its gluten free options. The truffle dish was still outstanding, the flavor was so decadent and creamy but not weighing you down, and I loved how much sauce there was. We have leftovers! I got the limencello spritz and my friend got the Gigi mojito. Hers was definitely on the sweet side but it tasted like fresh orange. We both were like... is there alcohol in here? There was. The prices were pretty consistent with higher end gluten free Italian, not too bad. The service was so slow. I know we are in France so typically it's slower and more of an "enjoy your meal and the experience" but our table was noticeably not tended to as much as others. For example our drinks took legit 15 mins to come out after ordered them... Overall though, the food carried the restaurant. No air flow inside except for a small oscillating fan so if it's nice enough outside, that's actually your best bet. The inside has pretty lights and the chairs we sat on were green velvet which is pretty cool.

This restaurant is nestled in the entrance of old Antibes- just a stone throw from the archeology…read moremuseum. If you keep walking up that path you will eventually get to the Picasso Museum. After a long day of exploring Old Antibes we were hungry. We were hungry for a nice steak dinner. We had outdoor seating and could hear the crashing waves from the beach area--- even over the music. We ordered steaks and a dessert. Golden beef offers many cuts from around the world. I am an avid BBQer and consider myself a good critique when it comes to meats. The main reason I did not give this restaurant 5 stars was for 2 reasons. Reason 1-Although the restaurant was somewhat busy- they never came to check on our meal or how our meat was cooked. I needed more to drink and ended up grabbing my drink from my backpack. Reason 2- Meat was ok. It did not give me explosions or beautiful memories when I ate each morsel. Meat lacked something. When I bite into a steak I want to feel a romance in my mouth of different flavors--- flavors of grilling, flavors of seasoning and flavors of the juices. Seasoning? Not sure.....It was lightly seasoned and the delicious taste of the meat stood out- but still, something was missing . I selected my meal with a chimichurri and the chimichurri was ok- it did not add to the meat. I realized after I finished my meal what was missing, what it was.... A nice crust.... It just did not have the sear that gives the meat that nice crust. I am guessing here- I believe it may be cooked sous vide and then just finished lightly in the end.... I feel when you do that's you loose some of that smoky element you get when you grill or pan fry- sometimes that grizzle adds a deep element that can't be replicated. There was no juiciness when I cut the steak--that juiciness you like mopping up with a nice piece of bread or a side dish... the juiciness you get when all of a sudden you eat it all up and you look at your neighbors plate to steal their food. Will I come back? Yes. Mainly because I want to try other items at this restaurant. The dessert was delicious! And the location is a no brainer.... If you are in old Antibes, it's a nice place to end the evening at.
