This place made Portland a dream come true with the mochi donuts. Thank you for also doing what you can to prevent the spread of covid. A table is put in front of the cashier counter to create space between the employee and customer(s). However, the credit card machine reader is still on the counter, so the customer needs to lean in. I suggest putting the credit card reader on the table so it's closer to customer. read more

I walked in there to check out their donuts and lasts weekend. They make authentic macchiato's which I enjoy a lot and they use really good coffee. Did it need to add a sweetener. Their donuts although it wasn't fresh maybe they were a couple hours old still fresh they just weren't immediately fresh. Well something about the texture of the donut was super delicious it was wonderful. My daughter said her donut taste like heaven :-). All the employees are super kind it's 3:15pm in the afternoon, I went in there to get some apple juice and the lady behind the counter was super super nice!! Yummy donut place right down the street! They have great flavors selection + classics, great aesthetics inside. They're open for walk-ins. The black sesame mochi donut tasted exactly like black sesame! The apple fritter and cinnamon roll are yummy. I've tried the lavender donut and wish it had a stronger lavender taste but the donut was good. I brought it home and heat it up and it was even better. We were at UPS dropping off a package when we spotted Coco Donuts right next door. We walked in without knowing that they were not officially open yet. As we walked in, there were a group of 5 people sitting in a circle, and they appeared to be conducting a meeting. One of the guys explained that this is their new location and the opening day is still to be announced. We were a little disappointed because I love Coco Donuts, and we were excited to check out this new location and eat some yummy donuts. They were so nice and gave us a free dozen before we left! 03/18/20: 4.5 out 5 - Stopped by to check out the newest Coco Donuts location that will be opening soon in Happy Valley/Clackamas. I am familiar with many of the other Coco Donut locations, which are more closer to Portland, and is excited to see one come to this side. I came by today partake in Coco Donuts free giveaway to share with my clients in the area to spread the good news. This location looks great, and the doughnuts have always been VERY GOOD. The doughnuts, or 'donuts' what have you, are handcrafted, and not overly sweet. These confectionery delights makes such a great companion to one's coffee, or just to take home, to the office or another gathering. They never have any donuts. Do not bother to go unless it's before 9am. I am not sure why they're are open until now 2pm when I've gone at 11 and 10 the last 4 times and they've had like 12 donuts left. As a business like this you can't consistently be out of product??? It's such a waste of your customer's time. I came to spend my money and leave empty handed each time. To top it off the staff isn't very kind. I've looked past this as these donuts are very good. But the rude customer service and now 4th time in a row having no donuts, don't think I'll be back. Businesses like these do not last. read more

The best mochi donut I have ever tried! I love the chewiness and my favorite flavor is strawberry. I always come here when I'm in town now. Other mochi spots aren't as chewy as this place. The placeI is clean and new. They are a bit unorganized as they didn't fulfil my Call ahead order and also saw another customer have the same issue. I was dying to try the apple fritter...let's be real...any fritter would do, but alas, they were out. So, I ordered a nice variety and super interested in the Mochi donut. I tried the black sesame and ube (purple yam)-Both rocked and I love anything mochi. Try it, you won't go wrong. This was my favorite donut shop. Every time I come to Oregon to visit I make a stop here for a dozen but this last time I was disappointed. I came in around 8 am and there weren't many options. Not a single mochi. May favorite donut is the crumble and I was disappointed that they now only sprinkle a little of the crumble on top instead of the entire donut. Gross. I ordered an old fashioned with maple frosting, a chocolate cake donut, and their mochi based pumpkin spice, along with a cold brew with no ice. The cold brew tasted like it was left in a car and an entire glass of ice melted in it. I ordered cold brew, not coffee flavored water. ALL donuts have an overwhelming burnt "fair" oil flavor, like corn dogs and elephant ears have been fried in the same oil. Never going back. Don't participate in TooGoodToGo if you can't honor it. They had a few remaining chocolate donuts but the gal who was filling in for the day first said she would give me the remaining donuts then said they need to save it to sell, in case anyone else comes in. The item was paid for through TooGoodToGo and I was given an updated time to pick-up and came 20 minutes after the start time. I ordered a deluxe dozen online yesterday before the 5pm deadline. This morning I was going to be late to pick up the order, so I called ahead. Curtis answered the phone and could not locate our order. He dug a little deeper and discovered that someone had not completed the next step to make sure the order was filled. He apologized for the error (and the fact that the online Mochi donut menu is not up to date and therefore the 3 of the flavors I chose were not available), and promptly took care of it. He was completely professional and went over and beyond to make it right for us--even adding a few extra donuts in our order. I didn't have any cash, but decided to purchase more donuts because of the fantastic customer service he provided--and so I could tip him on my card. I just had doughnuts delivered. I asked for one box of deluxe and one box of normal. I also asked for no coconut doughnuts. I got two identical boxes, both had coconut doughnuts and neither had sprinkle doughnuts. Neither looked like a deluxe box but there were a few in each box. I've been craving mochi donuts and find that it's been really challenging to get them in the greater Portland area. I got to Coco Donuts around 12:30pm on a Friday and was in luck. They had a handful of mochi donuts left and actually recently had that shipment of it arrive. The matcha glaze was so delicious, it was gooey, soft, and the flavor was light.
