Stop here for tacos with my son and though it Was not what I expected the food was great. I was looking for a sit down and someone takes my order but you order your food pay and you get it when it's done. Inside and patio seating. Very busy with consistent traffic. We sat at the wrong area cause ppl were moving all around. I would try this place again but it the summer and sit in a corner and not the middle of the restaurant. The tacos were really good and full with flavor

Cochiloco is probably the BEST Mexican that I've had in Richmond. This casual eatery offers a vibrant bustling ambiance and they have some of the most flavorful tacos I've ever had. Located in Scotts Addition, this bustling spot has outdoor seating, tons of indoor. I tried the carne asada tacos and those were okay. The star of the show is definitely their Cochiloco tacos. They are a little expensive for one taco but they are bursting with flavor. Their Margs are also really good. Definitely recommend

Talk about teleporting to Miami. Came here for a late night taco and it was a true vibe in there. From their drink combos (the horchata cocktail had CORN liquor). It was absolutely amazing. The food was also PHENOMENAL. I WILL CERTAINLY BE BACK. People were in there just having a good time off their own vibe and the culture was VIBRANT. They definitely have gotten it figured out. They also have an outside bar.

To make a long story short -- Cochiloco is a really fun vibe. I have to say I really appreciate their branding and overall aesthetic. The space has great energy, and the patio area adds a nice touch. It can get pretty busy in there, so just keep that in mind when you go it can get a little packed depending on the time. But honestly, it's worth it. Me and my girlfriend ordered the carne asada tacos, and they were solid and hit the mark. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more from the menu. This was a pretty good first experience as a whole .

TLDR; delicious authentic tacos with a fun vibe! Vibes - coming here with a toddler on a Saturday night, the crowds and loud music were VERY over stimulating! That said, this fast casual restaurant is lively, the vibe is fun and the patio is great. Food - we ordered the Carne Asado Tacos, Chips and Salsa and Chociloco Tacos. Everything was delicious. Excited to come back and try more!

The food was delicious. The staff was very kind. It's super busy on a Friday and seating can be tricky however we didn't let that stop us.

This is a select location! If you love Hispanic culture, authentic food, and a rich taste that will fill you up, this is the place for you I tried the birria tacos and the flavor was a must try for the foodies. Be prepared for juices galore (napkins)

Wow! We were looking for Mexican and decided to give Cochiloco a try. So glad we did. Had a quesadilla, the Cohiloco burrito, the birria tacos and an elote. Everything was delicious and food came out pretty quickly. The burrito was excellent and very filling. The tacos were very tasty too. I didn't try the quesadilla, but was told it was really good. The elote was messy, but totally worth it. We'll definitely be back. You order at the counter, but they have a full bar, plenty of soft drink choices, and a huge television screen. Parking can be tough, but that's true for everywhere in Scott's Addition. We'll definitely be back.

Cochiloco is so fun! Their menu is delicious and has a wide variety of mexican foods. The service is very quick and the staff is helpful. They will bring your food to you before you even get up sometimes! The margarita tasted great and was very strong (I got the large). The environment is a little loud and they have fun music playing as well but we were able to have conversations with no problems.

A cute restaurant in Scott's Addition. A little confusion as you enter because I wasn't aware that you had to order at the counter and find a seat. The staff were nice and helpful. QR codes for the menus which was nice because we found our seat in the side patio and were able to review the menu. Some of us ordered online and some went inside to order. We had margaritas, nachos and a variety of tacos. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks. Ordering online was really easy and I would definitely visit again!

I already want to go back to Richmond for these tacos!! Finding authentic tacos is tricky in the Va area but this spot is legit! The carne asada street tacos were FIRE!! Me and some friends were hanging out at Väsen brewery and decided to give this place a try once we saw how packed it was. I'm so glad we did. Can't wait to go back!

My only ask, is they have more fish options shrimp tacos? Fish tacos? Shrimp nachos? But the vibe was cute for a Friday afternoon. Sunny in downtown Richmond. We sat outside. The bartender was sweet. I took her recommendations on drinks and they were both 10/10! I will return

Ahhh this was so delicious. Not only was it crowded on Friday at nearly 10 pm, but the service was quick and the food was great. Absolutely delicious quesadillas and the salsa bars allowed you to make it spicier and or have different flavors with the salsa. I was a huge fan of the rojo sauce. I enjoyed my meal and I can't wait to try others!

I noticed the ice cream/yogurt spot nearby was hopping. There was a person asking for change outside the front door. We were greeted by an enthusiastic host and seated immediately at a booth up front. The server came by within seconds and brought us water and place settings. We decided to get the chips and salsa for an appetizer and a pair of melting chimichangas for entrees. I can't resist some chorizo and steak. My partner got the chimichanga without chorizo and with chicken. The ambiance was colorful with beautifully painted murals on each wall, and the atmosphere was undeniably loud. There were lots of patrons. The place was packed, even at the bar, so your mileage may vary. We received our orders within minutes of each other, so there wasn't much of a wait time. The chips and salsa were homemade, fresh, warm, and delicious (muy rico). Same for the entrees; exactly what I want in a Mexican food restaurant. The chorizo and steak were well-cooked, seasoned, and chopped finely, but not ground. I was in heaven with that chimichanga. We had to take home leftovers. The next night, heated in the oven at 325 for 30 minutes, they were similarly excellent. The night ended without dessert, sadly (too full). However, the server was quick and efficient, and he was always around to fill water and bring anything we needed throughout the meal. Great experience overall. We will definitely return here whenever we have a hankering for some good Mexican food at reasonable prices. I can recommend this place to anyone who appreciates hearty and filling Mexican food.

Stopped in on a Monday - with all day happy hour specials for food and drinks. We enjoyed the guacamole, the tacos and the beverages. The tostadas served with the guacamole were a nice and different touch than the usual chips at other places. The flavor on my shrimp tacos exploded with a balance of spices and fresh ingredients. Celiac- Gluten- free Review…read more Lolita's has my WHOLE heart. Their gluten-free options may not be extensive, but they're enough, and they are done WELL (no dedicated fryers just FYI). Let me also give nuance to my love of Lolita's by saying first and foremost that I had the best cocktail I've ever had here, the Hotboxed Ferrari (Siete Misterios Mezcal, Byrrh, Piña, Campari, Fernet Branca, Cinnamon Deme, Salted Grapefruit Foam). I am rabid for Mezcal. I want to kiss the mixologist who developed this drink, because it is absolutely a balance of flavors that showcases the beautiful and perfect smokiness of Mezcal and good grief I almost fell out after my first sip. *deep breaths* So we just continue riding this wave of joy with the salsa and tostadas. Three types of salsas with unique flavors and different levels of heat. All three incredible. Blue-corn tostadas made in-house. And then a bowl of pozole verde. This damn sopa had me in a chokehold as well because how was everything perfect??? The textures, the flavors...I think I might have forgotten where I was because I got lost in that bowl. Best pozole verde I've ever had. Ordered the Choripapa and Suadero tacos- at this point I really could have ordered just one because your girl was almost at maximum capacity. The tacos are not cheap- ranging from $11-14- but to their credit, they do not skimp on the fillings and the flavors are top tier. Add in those fresh blue corn tortillas and you have a combination that truly did not miss in any way, shape, or form. Only disappointment I encountered the entire night was one of the drinks on the menu not actually being available (the frozen horchata-pumpkin colada), but my bartender made me a horchata coffee cocktail that definitely made up for it. Shout out to her, because she was throwing down on them drinks. So. True artistry experienced throughout the night, from the cocktails to the food. The atmosphere is so cool inside too, definitely a light summery feel which is a nice respite from this crazy winter blast we're experiencing at the moment. Love this spot and highly recommend.
