I'm really torn on this review. Unfortunately, because of the dates, this was the location that worked out best for seeing Incubus. As other reviews have stated, parking is expensive and isn't that close to the venue, unless you want to pay overly inflated ($30) valet parking. I was curious because I don't see any way that you could possibly get out very quick from valet after an event line this?? Kind of in between on what others have stated for the security check. They were quite thorough, including making my fiance empty out her small (barely enough room for a wallet) purse and then open her wallet to show them what was inside it (note: there were no strange bulges that should warrant additional inspection). Security performed extra wand checking of me and had me remove my hat to ensure I wasn't sneaking anything in, but he was really nice about the whole thing so not a big deal. The venue itself is laid out relatively well. Maybe more importantly is the fact that they have lines that are pretty well marked for merch and/or food. The lines move pretty quickly and seems to be well organized. The actual event space is pretty nice, for this type of venue. I think they are looking for a look and feel of older vintage and I think they hit the mark pretty well. It isn't supposed to be state of the art and is far from it. The stage isn't overly large, so there isn't a lot of moving around by the band. They were pretty stationary through their entire set (that could just be the band to). Now, huge drop off in the rating - 1 STAR - for the people attending the concert. I know this isn't entirely the fault of the venue, but they could do a little more to keep people in check. The overall vibe and to keep it as nice as possible, a vast majority of the people here were EXCEPTIONALLY RUDE which was a major distraction from the concert. Like many of the other reviews have stated this has been an issue at the concerts they have attended. Another stand out thing, that the Roxy has total control over, is the fact this place was hotter than the sun. People were miserable with how hot it was (which may have contributed to the vibe and demeanor of the audience). I should note that this was for the GA tickets. I haven't been previously and don't know how this applies to the balcony seating they offer. But, compared to other venues (in Atlanta) where I have had GA admission, this place is by far the worst for fan to fan interactions and temperature control. Other venues (in Atlanta) have security that monitor the fans and aren't afraid to remove people from the show if they are incapable of following basic instructions if necessary. I feel this location should invest a couple bucks and/or rotate some of the security that is checking people in to floor duty to keep an eye on things during events. As a side note, I go to a lot of concerts and have had a lot of really great experiences. I know when a venue is above standards and also when one is failing to meet the minimum standards for events like this. I think this is a failure on the venue's part and they need to work to make the fan experience better. Tickets aren't cheap and they should be responsible for making this as enjoyable and memorable (in a positive light) as possible. read more

SAVE YOUR $ ON THE DRINKS! Saw ALT-J there on Weds. 11-9-17. Nice concert venue, very clean. If you get the wrist band to be able to buy alcohol DO NOT waste your money on mixed drinks. I'm a very light drinker but we took UBER so we could have a couple of cocktails during the show. The rum & coke I ordered had zero alcohol in it. And I watched the bartender pour a shot plus of a rum from the bottle into a very small cup with a lot of ice. The drink was at least 40% alcohol (and $13). I was expecting it to be strong. Nothing. It tasted like a Vanilla Coke. It tasted good but $13 is a lot of money for Vanilla Coke! Next we had a fireball & cranberry. Again tasted great but no alcohol taste what so ever. Nope nope nope, this was our first and last time here. Parking is expensive and way too far. The security personnel at the door actually forced my husband to bare his abdomen to prove he didn't have any weapons. My husband is an old white guy in a sweater vest, not threatening. When I tried to tell her that it was inappropriate to ask someone to remove their shirt in a security line she wanted to argue with me. I don't care what the venue is, there is no event special enough to warrant someone digging through the personal items in your purse and then forcing you to remove articles of clothing before you can get in to this crappy little venue. In the midst of all that indignity you get to raise your arms above your head so they can "wand" you. This freaking lady actually hit me in the vagina with her little wand, I guess it was payback for daring to complain about trying to make my husband take his shirt off. To top it off our seats, which is what they actually called them, were tiny little metal folding chairs that were placed up against one another. This resulted in not being able to actually sit in your chair because everyone was spilling over onto everyone else. You should see the difficulty just trying to GET to your chair. The seat numbers are lightly scratched into the back of the chairs and in a dark venue like this you have to get your flashlight out and walk through the crowd to try and find your seat. There are no employees around anywhere that could possibly help you. I saw some people that looked like they might work there but they also looked pretty angry to be in the vicinity and would not really speak to any of the patrons. The picture I am attaching shows you how much space was in between my neighbor to the left my neighbor to the right and me in the middle. Once they stood up I couldn't even stand because there was about 6 inches between them, they both kept bumping into me so I was forced to sit with their asses pretty much in my face for most of the concert. For the money we paid we should have a gotten actual seats. You literally have more room on an airplane in coach. Sound was good, if a little loud for such a small place. Concert ended 30 minutes earlier than it was supposed to. read more

We went to see O. A. R. at the Roxy. I did not know the Roxy had moved to the Battery when I bought the tickets. I thought it was still in Buckhead. The new Roxy is very nice. Easy entrance and the place is bigger than I expected. The place is well marked and the staff is very helpful. We were in section 202 row A. Our site line to the stage was good. We ended going down to the floor to watch about half way through second act. Ended up very close to the stage for main act. There are a lot of bars located on both floors. The wait for drinks was minimal and the prices about what you would expect. We will definitely put this place in our concert venues. read more

Amazing concert hall! I recently saw The Roots at the Roxy, AWESOME concert. People at concerts will be people at concerts, I did not mind it, BUT it is not tolerated AT ALL. Please do not think just because a large crowd surrounds, you can get away with sneaking in a doobie. A patron at the concert figured it would be safe, and wouldn't get caught. HE DID! The atmosphere is dark, although security is ALL around. The patron was "flashed" down with a flash-light, and escorted out. So take it from a review, do not try it. They will find you. Parking is clear on the website. Follow the instructions, and parking is easy! Plus parking attendants are VERY helpful. They are familiar with the events going on, and helpful on where you should park based on the event. You have to pay for parking. read more

My favorite music venue in Atlanta! I've never had an issue at the Roxy! I've arrived at the venue 5 hours early for a show and ten minutes before doors opened. When I arrived 5 hours early, venue staff went around offering free water to everyone waiting around, which is something I've never personally experienced at a venue. The staff truly goes above and beyond here. The venue itself is very nice. It's kinda like a bigger Tabernacle. For the most part, all the views are good if you're there for a general admission show. If you're not too big on crowds. I recommend standing in the back near all of the equipment. That's probably the best view, in my opinion. Parking is probably one of the best for a concert venue in the Atlanta area. While pricey, it is very convenient and easy to get in and out of. Even right after a show is over. I always park in the Delta lot right next to the stadium and have no problems. It's normally $20, however. If you can, purchase your parking when you buy your tickets to save a little money. Overall, i LOVE this venue and will always be returning. read more

I like the venue design/layout/sound and the Live Nation staff / talent booking for concerts; however, the hospitality aspect is terrible. Food, Beverage and Catering is run by a private management company (i.e. landlord) that administrates the ballpark, surrounding restaurants and bars. The "landlord" is content to run the hospitality segment haphazardly - if not outright incompetently. The pervasive lax attitude negatively impacts guest experiences during private parties, corporate events and catered events. Bar service is inconsistent and often poor. Bartenders, servers and managers lax attitudes towards guests range from snarky / indifferent to awkward / incompetent. I much prefer seeing shows or attending live events at other Live Nation venues over this one (i.e. The Tabernacle and Buckhead Theater). read more

Great sound. Good ticketing and security team. Super friendly box office people. They really need to focus on their operations though. I get that many places are understaffed, but when it takes 4-5 songs to get 1 beer, something has to give. Paper credit card receipts and signatures required in a crowded venue? Seriously?? If you can't get an upgraded POS, at least put out some cash-only satellite beer stations. If you aren't over 6 ft, get to the front. Flat floors in a venue like this means the line of sight is obstructed unless you are in the front of the crowd. The sound mix was great though. The Coca-Cola Roxy venue itself is nice, but unfortunately there is a lot left to be desired. Do NOT get the standing general admission tickets. You will have a much more enjoyable experience purchasing a seat from the balcony. I came for the Melanie Martinez concert that took place in October 2019. If it is a Game Day, parking will be difficult to find. "Event Day" parking fees apply when a concert is taking place, so you can park in the Red, Green, or Purple parking deck - parking is free for the first 2 hours and then it is $20 until the event ends. The orange parking deck is valet parking on Event Days. I had no trouble parking in the Red Deck since there was no game going on at SunTrust Park. The Coca Cola Roxy venue was only a 1-2 minute walk from the Red Deck. I arrived one hour before the doors of the venue were supposed to open. Doors opened exactly on time. It was quick and easy to enter the theater. Staff and security did a good job of keeping the line going in an organized fashion. The venue itself was small but nice. I liked the lighting and decor but that's about it. I'm a total newbie when it comes to concerts so maybe this is the typical experience for standing admission, but it was truly awful. The audience was packed into the standing general admission. Everyone was pushing on each other and shorter people definitely had a hard time seeing. There was no room for personal space, it was hot, and many people including myself were sweating buckets. I expected all of this but I think Coca Cola Roxy could have handled things better. First, some staff was passing out cups of water but only to the front of the crowd, and then telling people to "pass it down". How is that going to work? The people in the middle of the crowd didn't stand a chance. I don't understand why they didn't have staff pass down water from different angles or corners surrounding the crowd? Wouldn't that be more efficient than telling strangers to pass a water cup down to another stranger? Second, I don't think their AC was working very well. Sometimes I would feel it blasting and other times I couldn't feel it? Or maybe that's just me having hot flashes, I don't know. Either way a wave suddenly hit me during the middle of the concert where I felt I was going to pass out. My vision got blurry and I eventually had to tear my way through the crowd and sit on the ground to prevent myself from fainting. I wasn't the not one who had to do this. I think it's really common to get overheated at this venue. I found myself enjoying the concert moreso from the back of the crowd than in the middle general admission area. Also, there were signs on their tv screens telling you where to go to find the concession stand but even when following directions it was difficult to find. They did not have a lot of signs or helpful indicators to show the way. Anyway, I'm not eager to come back to Coca Cola Roxy. I suggest getting a seat in the balcony, it's not too far from the stage so you get a nice view and comfortable seating. Either that or come late and stand in the back of the General Admission area, much better and less risky than standing in the middle or front of the crowd. read more

If I could give a negative number I would. We bought Yacht Rock tickets yet at this moment we literally cannot get into the concert we have tickets for. We spent $90 and are unable to enter because the line is longer than the concert would last. Hey Roxy! We are your neighbor and live 5 minutes away! You lost our business and will never come back. I'm very disappointed in this venues Covid policies. I'm aware that every establishment has a right to their own policies and I can choose to follow them or not. Last year I was able to attend many concerts without a negative Covid test nor a vaccine card. Now I have to show one or the other to attend a concert. Very disappointing as I love live music and really like this venue. They have lost my business and many of my friends. I think it's funny that the Braves stadium that holds 40,000 people right next door doesn't require a negative Covid test nor vaccine card but a venue that holds about 4,000 does. loved this venu! good medium size. we were seeing a shops our show, so when we got there 15 minutes after doors opened the line was all the way down the block and wrapped around the building. we were worried we wouldn't make it inside in time, but the security line was very efficient! pro tip: you can skip the line if you don't have a bag that needs to be checked. when we got to the shoe we decided to upgrade our seats which was a quick and easy process! drinks were outrageously priced but i guess i should've expected that. read more

Went to the Roxy to see Tenacious D. This was my first time at the Roxy and it was great. The venue is in the Battery, check ahead of time to see if there's a game at Suntrust. I saw a lot of people complaining that they had issues when their event was on a game-day. TIP: Parking at Suntrust Park is a pain when you are actually going to a Braves game. If you're going to a concert at the Roxy on a game night, expect to find most of the parking is reserved for ticket holders to the Braves. Fortunately, no game on the night we went. Was able to Stubhub an orange lot ticket right next to the Venue. Valet Park, and the Roxy is literally right next door. Valet makes it easy to get in and out. Very easy negotiating security to get inside and the staff were pleasant. Once inside, you are on the floor level. Concert Swag, food & Drink and general admission area are on this level. It's a relatively small venue and easy to get around. Upstairs is reserved seating. The concert was sold out. Despite that, I don't think I was more than third in line for a beer and was usually able to walk right up. $13.00 beers are steep but that's par for the course. The Roxy offers beer from Terrapin's ATL brew-lab so they have some good stuff. Tonight was the Tenacious D Post-Hopocalypto IPA. Citrusy goodness filled to the brim! Clean bathrooms that also had short wait times were another nice surprise. The concert was great, the sound was dead on. We were towards the back (Section 201) and the view was still pretty good. I'm too old to deal with the floor so I didn't expect to catch a pick from my seats. Being at the Battery makes it much more convenient for those who don't live in the city. Conversely, you'll be stuck with the offerings at the Battery. That's limited compared to your options at the Fox, Tabernacle, Variety, etc. down town. I take a star away for the parking at the Battery. The best parking is reserved for ticket holders. On a game day, your best bet is to scalp a ticket or wear comfortable shoes. Any events during the workday will eliminate all of the parking at the business lots. I call it a parking win if I don't have to cross a major freeway to get to the battery. A lack of planning may result in you taking a shuttle from a lot across the river in Fulton County. Sad faces on a shuttle. Summary - Love the Roxy, great venue and has the added offerings from the Battery. Plan ahead to avoid frustrations. read more

I wish I could give this janky-ass club negative stars, but since I can't I'll settle for one. My husband and I bought tix to see Sisters of Mercy on 9/27/24. We were super excited to go - love SOM and love Atlanta, looked forward to checking out a new venue. Because of Hurricane Helene we were watching the club's social media on Thursday night to see if the show would go on, especially since SOM had cancelled Thursday's St. Augustine show due to weather. But CCR had no updates. We live in SC and lost power for about 12 hours; when the power came back on Friday afternoon we checked again to see if the show was happening - nothing. We decided not to drive in because we didn't know what the roads looked like and we assumed the show would be cancelled/postponed since there was no updates Around 3:00 Friday afternoon the venue finally gave an update: show was still on - in 4 hours, despite outlying area having road closures, etc. Okay, they can't control the weather, but there was almost no communication, they offered no refunds / postponements for those who were unable to make it due to the storm, and in a very shitty move, they disabled the re-sell feature for the tickets, so you couldn't even re-sell! Then they deleted all the negative comments (there were quite a few) left on their social media. But hey, they got everyone's money, and I guess that's what counts. We go to Atlanta several times a year for shows and always have a great time. We had tix a few years ago for a show at Chastain Park and the show was cancelled/postponed due to weather and they handled it like professionals, offering refunds or honoring our tickets for a later show. This was the first time we bought tickets for a show at CCR and it will be the last. Shame on you. read more

I want to love the Roxy. I go to a decent amount of concerts, and this venue has everything you want. Fast bar lines. Clean bathrooms. Quick entry. However...buyer beware if it's a reserved floor seating show, like the Collective Soil concert was on 11/28. The flimsy folding chairs are set up so close together that I was practically sitting on my neighbor's lap. And good luck if your seats were in the middle of the row, because there was barely enough room to get past people. I've had more room and ease of getting around at a GA standing room only show. My husband and I ended up sitting on a bench in the back because the seats we paid for were pretty horrible. We also paid for EP lounge access, which we've done before and I personally think is worth the splurge from time to time. But last night we kept getting bounced around from person to person because we needed a wristband for access, but everyone had conflicting info on where we could get that wristband. Will I be back to the Roxy? Maybe, if it's a GA standing room only show. But I'll pass on any future shows with reserved floor seating. read more

What are saw if it any way, the staff had no idea what was going on, I went to the dethklok show the other night, got there around 755 and to be sure I didn't miss anything I asked staff right away "doors are at 7 right not the show?" They said yes the show doesn't start until 830, a couple minutes later I heard music starting so I asked are you sure dethklok is headlining? They said yes they are playing last, I end up inside the venue around 830 to see dethklok halfway done with their set. The band I paid to see. Needless to say I was unimpressed, and it seems this is a pattern because I had a similar experience at truest park and cellaris amphitheater. I don't know how these guys still have contracts because they are clearly incompetent. read more

So, this was my second concert at this venue. I pretty much like the size of the venue. It's pretty clean (maybe because its new). My only complaint is the hidden prices for seating (VIP sections; VIP rooms and Flash Passes). This was the first time we were asked if we wanted a Flash Pass, I kind of had a flash back of being at an amusement park. It was only $15 and I thought it was well worth it since it was hot as hell outside. The TI (Hustle Gang Tour) concert was bomb, he put on a great show. There was actually someone on stage from about 7:30p until 12:30a. I am a fan of TI, but my favs were Young Dro and 2 Chains (that's when I lost my mind and probably became very ratchet, lol). This concert was by far better than the first one. We had great seats since we chose the flash pass it got us in the venue early and we scooped great seats for everyone in our crew. I would say that although the concert attendants were very nice, we probably drove the two working in our section nuts because they kept coming by making us move away from the rail (it was a walkway in their defense); however, as soon as they passed us we were right back on the rails "wildin' out". We went to the Jelly Roll concert last night, 11/13/2021. The CONCERT was awesome, but the venue was HORRIBLE!! I definitely won't be coming back to this venue. They have no crowd control or separating of areas so everyone was literally on top of each other. My daughter passed out because it was so hot in there even though it was 30 degrees outside. We waited in line for well over an hour, to get a good spot which we were fine with, but when she passed out it became a big issue being able to get her through the crowd. Definitely need to figure out how to better organize things because it has great potential!! read more

This venue has super helpful staff and amazing service. I got balcony tickets for the James bay show and I couldn't find my seat so I asked and they walked me right to my seats!! The view was amazing and I absolutely loved it. I am too short for general admission so balcony seats were right for me. I'm also super picky about bathrooms but they were really clean and tidy. My only complaint is how much drinks and water are. What I do appreciate very much is that they give out free plastic cups with water so it counteracts with those high prices. One last thing, the parking for the venue is $30 dollars but the parking for the suntrust park is $20 so I'd say park with suntrust! read more

Coca-Cola Roxy - James Bay performing 3/6/19 - Music Venues Near Me - Atlanta, Georgia

I would like to begin by saying that it's location is stellar! The Roxy is located at The Battery, which has tons of restaurants, bars, and attractions within walking distance. I came to The Roxy to see Collective Soul in concert. I had previously purchased quite expensive tickets for floor seats up front. Perhaps it was my own misunderstanding, but this looked nothing like a concert venue. It was, in short, a bar. The venue was dark and dirty and did not look at all inviting. The only clean area was the restroom. I expected to see ushers leading us to our seats. Instead, all I saw were rows of metal chairs without row or isle numbers. Ushers were non-existent. People were arguing over which seat was theirs and most made quite a scene. I wanted to leave as soon as I arrived, because this clearly was not what I expected. The stage looked like it was set up for a high school play - I was embarrassed for the artists. The clientele was "rough". Woman were yelling obscenities in the restroom, other women were yelling about how they had been drinking since 4 pm that day, and the others were stumbling around the place. It was quite unattractive and I definitely did not feel as if I belonged. My friend ordered an alcoholic drink for which he paid quite a hefty price, yet he swore there was no alcohol in the drink. The only reason I did not give this venue one star is because the band was great! It's too bad that I could not stay through the entire concert. The place and the people there got worse as the night went on. We left after only having been there for an hour. I would not return there if you paid me to. read more

For me, I wish I would have purchased seats instead of floor/GA tickets. The whole time I tried enjoying the show, girls would push past to try to get in front of you and spill drinks all over. Also there would be super tall guys in front of me so I could barely see. Next time I'd pay for seats. It was really annoying to get pushed the whole time. Parking is also too much. Tickets plus parking fees are ridiculous. Also try not to go on the day of a Braves game or Truist park event. The traffic was so bad. read more

Very nice venue. The seating arrangement is like at the Tabernacle. General admission no seats on the main floor and seats up top. Plenty of bars but I believe there's only one bar with food at the front near the merchandise. I only had the buffalo fries and they took a good amount of time to come out but they were really good. I was close to the back of the room in the Standing only area and was still able to see the artist but if u are really short I could see how it would be really hard to see. Not sure how many bathrooms there are but the one near the front was clean with plenty of stalls. Plenty of paid parking around the venue. read more

I attended a private concert at this facility and it was great. The wait staff/ bartenders were all great. The facility was standing room only downstairs and the balcony floor had seating. There is some paid parking and permit parking close but I'd recommend parking offsite and catching an Uber or Lyft because traffic can get thick. I went to the Coca-Cola Roxy to see Kev on stage and the Roxy is a very spacious venue. I waited in line for a min till the doors opened. Once they started letting people in those who didn't have a bag to be checked could go straight to the front to the metal detectors. So I got into the place pretty quickly. When I got in I went to one of the bars inside asking if they served food and they said no only snacks. So after asking around I finally found the bar that served the food. The line was long to get food by this time so I ordered my food. When I got out the line was even longer when people found out where the bar was to order food. The food and drinks were ok. They had quesadillas, hot dogs, burgers, chicken tenders so pretty much your typical stadium food. The only issue I had was trying to find where they served the food. It would be better if multiple bars served food instead of just one bar area. read more

Here at the Roxy ready to see Ms Tamela Mann and family. We started off jamimg with DJ Mann. I've renamed him to DJ Old School. He was awesome. Got the crowd pumped - caused a little confusion in my head mostly because I didn't know what to expect - church Manns or the Browns. I suspect that we are getting a little bit of both. Right now - we are meeting the Browns. Oh. Back to the venue. Alcohol. Check. Smooth entry. Friendly staff. Chairs. Chairs. Yep. Hog-tied together with tie wrap. Those plastic ties - you know. Yep. I am not familiar with how the smoke works for concerts - I'm guessing that's what keeps those on the stage cool? Floor seating - Chairs are not staggered so think twice about wearing your big hats. This is a great crowd. Great sound system. Loud but the sound is controlled. Quick intermission. Expect to pay $$ for food and drink. Seems a bit pricey to me. I feel like I'm in an infomercial. God bless. I like the Manns I would have come out to support regardless. They are doing great things and it looks like they are involved with an organization called Compasaion International. Y'all should check it out. Here comes Mrs Tamela Mann!!!! #awesome Overall the venue is great. Great location. We had no issues with parking ($20). My husband and I along with a group of friends saw our first show at the Roxy this week and loved it! Located right in the heart of the Battery, the Roxy is in walking distance to really awesome bars, restaurants and shopping. There is a parking garage in the Battery but we chose to uber. We were pleasantly surprised that we didn't have to wait in a long line to enter the theatre and the security process was pretty easy. There is one bar in the theatre's lobby and then two inside on the first floor. I believe there is another upstairs in the balcony section as well. The line for the bar in the lobby was long but the there was rarely a line for the ones inside which was nice. The bathrooms are large and I didn't have to wait in line to use the women's restroom. Although it's standing room only on the first floor, we could see the stage even when standing in the back of the theatre. The acoustics were great and we could hear every lyric clearly. Attended the NCT 127 concert at the Roxy. The concert was AWESOME!! The venue was very nice. It's in a great neighborhood with other entertainment spots and a few restaurant options. The organizers for the event were not organized which took away from the venue. The fan energy was electric!!! read more

This was a great venue in a fantastic location with lots of restaurants/drinking spots to enjoy before an event. The venue itself was very nice and the sound system was great. However, we had seats on the first row of seating upstairs and thought we would have a great view of the stage. Unfortunately that was not the case. Apparently they have VIP tables in front of the first row and the ladies in front of us stood for the entire concert so I got the view of four middle-age women's rear ends for the entire show. Could not see around them at all. Those VIP tables need to go!! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I am so disappointed! I bought VIP tickets to see one of my favorite bands. I only did this so I could get a seat. Most of the venue is standing room only general admission. After paying way too much for these VIP tickets, I was told they too are general admission, standing room only. My tickets have seat numbers on them yet no seats - just for administrative purposes said the staff. I wasted so much money and was so disappointed. It ruined my night. I won't be back to the Roxy Theater and I will share this experience with all my friends. Very deceptive practice with the ticket sales! read more

Terrible venue. Security is a joke. Brought my daughter and her friend to see Fall Out Boy here a few weeks ago. A grown ass woman and her two male friends began to cut in front of them and legit put hands on my 12 year old children. Security was alerted and they directed us away from the front of the stage and left us in the back of the venue. My girls were in tears because not only did they have hands laid on them by grown as adults now they couldn't see. read more

Came here for a Zedd Concert, probably one of the best venues I've been to for a concert. The staff is impecable especially Madeline and Mikey for making our experience so great and taking such great care of us! Highly recommend this venue to anyone planning to visit here! read more
