The brisket, which I always order moist inside is the juicier cut that's definitely not on the lean side. It was typical brisket you could get anywhere with no flavor and firmness to the meat. In comparison to Rudy's, I'd have to say is so much better and would be willing to pay per weight for my brisket. It has flavor and the quality and consistency is always on point. The sides were terrible, the broccoli rice casserole was overcooked and mushy. The green beans had been sitting in the pot too long with no flavor. The bbq wasn't anything special. I realize that prices are inflated with this economy right now, but it definitely wasn't worth $80. If you're not a big fan of BBQ you won't be missing out. We won't be returning if we have a hankering for BBQ.

The young lady at the order counter was very kind and welcoming, but I believe it was the owner or the cook that came out and brought my sandwich. He never made eye contact ,never said thank you ,just shoved my sandwich in a bag at me ,and walked away. I had asked for a small container of extra sauce and was willing to pay, and the young lady said no ,they will put sauce on the sandwich ,so I was fine with that. For $14 ,I had a small hamburger bun with no pickles, no onions, just meat and a quarter teaspoon of sauce. I brought it home and put on some of my own sauce and pickles, but sadly, the meat was very dried out ,as though it had been chopped earlier and frozen, or just overcooked.There was no smoke ring on the meat at all. It was brown all the way through ,and the edges were too hard to eat on many of the pieces. I ended up having to knock off about half of the inedible meat ,and so had a very spare sandwich for lunch. Too expensive for this disappointing product,so I won't be back. I love to support local, but I work hard for my money too, and cannot waste it.
