I'll start off by saying my dog does experience general anxiety with groomers. However, with tip paid close to $220 more than I've ever paid and the groomer was unable to cut her face. They also couldn't do her paws and some other things. Now my dog has long hair on her face and I have to get a second groomer to fix it elsewhere. They recommended medicating my dog with Xanax or trazadone which I would prefer not doing. I have a 97 lb Goldendoodle who never fully recovered from her ACL repair so has a hard time standing for too long. Dane, the owner and his wonderful groomer G make accommodations for her so they can get her groomed. They do a wonderful job and are so kind to my girl Callie. My 5-year old Maltipoo is very hyper and unfortunately he gets very stressed/nervous with grooming sessions due to bad experiences in the past. I've been looking for a new groomer and felt comfortable scheduling the first appointment with Rienna after having an introductory conversation with Dane over the phone. Upon arrival (before bringing out my pup) Rienna was willing to spend some time speaking with me to understand my pup's personality, anxiety, and what I wanted for his cut. Rienna's patience was very much appreciated... from meeting him to getting him settled in the van to grooming him (keep in mind his last grooming session was 3 months ago). To my surprise, Dane joined Rienna sometime during the session which I believe made the experience more pleasant for my pup because he was in such a great mood afterwards which has not been the case with previous groomers. Bottom line... my pup looks great and we enjoyed our first session! I look forward to our next appointment and I hope Coat & Collar will be our groomer for the long term. Grooming doodles can be tricky--some groomers just don't get it--but Benji's haircut was absolutely perfect. The whole experience was super convenient: they came right to my house, picked him up at the door, and took him to the van for his bath and full groom. We had Rhianna come today for our two dogs and it was the first time using their grooming service and it was absolutely wonderful. One of our dogs has super bad anxiety and it's been horrible trying to find somebody to take him to and she was able to get everything done almost seamlessly. He is still a little nervous, but I have no doubt that that will pass and we will definitely be using this company and Rihanna for the future.
