As a renter of course I was so apprehensive when my landlord switched to Coastal View. Long story short Wendy and Irene were so understanding, listened to my side of the problems and instantly became the Greatest Peace makers as they are experts at listening, trying their BEST to bring peace and Arrangement in an almost extinct expert and open discussions in their personable fashions. Im at great Peace ever since they came into this mix. The stamina, dedication and righteousness to the new Tenant and Landlords laws was exhilarating and comforting that they ate our mediators and not just some home realtors in this case.I'm 72 and don't know what I'd do without Irene and Wendy taking me seriously re: big problems with a troubled landlord who was nice at one time. Now he's out and I'm so relieved and honored to do ANY and All business with Irene and Wendy! I'm sure many assigned the very wrong Stigmas against property management. Not in this case. Doug Needham and his team were the only company to meet our needs when we decided to move out of state and rent our property in Oxnard. When my wife and I first met Doug we immediately believed we could trust him to help us find qualified renters and maintain the property with minimal involvement from us. His first significant accomplishment was establishing the amount we could expect from renting our home. His experience determined we could ask for over 25% more than what we independently estimated. He then found qualified renters within a months time. Their monthly rate was very reasonable and less than what others required for lesser service. He and his team were there during plumbing emergencies, HVAC repairs, and insurance issues. Each time any issue occurred, we were informed only if the issue was to exceed an agreed upon amount. Our rental income was always on time and any amount spent was fully itemized in their monthly and annual reports. When it came time to sell our property, we were very happy and confident to let Doug and his company sell it for us. My wife and I were inexperienced in selling homes and relied on Doug to guide us every step of the way. Which he did! There were a couple of times when we were unsure of paperwork we received and Doug helped us out on a SUNDAY NIGHT! All of our communications were positive and informative. My wife and I had toured one of their units and we really like the price and the layout. The lady if the office told us they would get back to us the following week however they didn't. We called every day waiting for a response and were informed there were more applicants and we would be informed at the end of the week of beginning of next. Still no call at the end of the week so we called back AGAIN at the beginning of the week only to be told again that they would let us know that week. Over TEN DAYS and no form of communication which is ridiculous. Terrible customer service and horrible management. No unit is worth so much trouble. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone. read more

Been trying to get a hold of this property company for a week when I seen an apartment for rent that I was hoping to tour. Well Dave finally called and went on to ask questions before we could even see the place which I thought was strange but I went on to tell him our monthly income and credit score estimates and his response was well you don't know how to pay bills which was completely disrespectful and not his place to say as he didn't know our situation and I went on to say it wasn't his place to make a comment like that, that it was very rude of him to say and he just hung up on me. I'm sorry but this is not how you run a property management company and for the owner who trusts Dave to sell his/her properties is making such a huge mistake! Wish I could personally contact the owner and let them know how disrespectful and unreliable this guy is. Seriously what a joke! So much for my first yelp review here it is! read more

I wish my husband and I read the ONLY review before we put ourselves in the SAME situation except it wasn't with Dave it was with Beth. My husband and I viewed a townhouse that basically had exactly what we wanted we applied and did everything we can to get our application completed. So we get to the office and it's closed even though the lunch hours posted are already over...red flag #1. So apparently Dave has been out of the office for a few weeks and Beth has no way of contacting him...red flag #2. Before leaving the office Beth tells us there are 3 applicants that's applied for the position so she will let us know Tuesday...red flag #3 So I'm thinking why not Monday? Then my husband goes "oh because of the holiday"...july4th..ok fine. Tuesday comes no answer we called the office and Beth says "Friday or Monday"..I'm reluctantly saying okay but thinking..red flag #4. Friday comes Monday comes and again nothing so we we call and again "they haven't made a decision" . Meanwhile we've applied to other places and we've been pushing them back as well. So today I was fed up and called and asked Beth whether it's a yes or no because we're losing money and time to move out and she still couldn't give me an answer...red flag #5. God is trying to tell us something. There's no way there's this many red flags without him trying to tell us something. So we pulled out our application. Good luck dealing with these people I can only imagine how it ACTUALLY is dealing with this company. Wish us luck we're moving today and have to be out Friday! read more

My fiancé and I were looking at a property this company had listed and I had to contact Dave twice to see if they had approved us to move in. Neither one of us have excellent credit and made him aware of this. After about a week and a half went by and I still didn't hear from him, I called to again check on the status of our application and he told us there was someone else applying and he would let us know. He never called back, and never returned my calls to tell us no. There is a serious lack of communication here with this company. I had continued to call, as Dave told us that since we paid for our credit check, we could come get it, even if we did not get approved, and I was calling to do just that and he has yet to contact me back. It's been over a month!! I do not recommend only because of the lack of communication. That's not a good quality in a property manager!! read more
