I have been so busy, but I've been wanting to leave a review for some time…read more
I found Kingdom Detailing about a month ago online after having an incident with some milk spilling in my car. I splurged on my limited budget and got the angelic package for a deep interior and exterior clean since i have never done so before. The gentleman who came was super friendly and seemed to know what he was doing. I specifically reminded him and showed him areas I wanted to make sure he wouldn't forget. I would check on him every so often and everything seemed fine. He would occasionally be on the phone, but I didn't mind so long as the job got done properly.
Considering the amount of time it had taken and the car looking decently shiny, I was feeling pretty confident that he probably did a decent job. He asked me to check around, which I tried to do quickly since he seemed to be in a rush. I also felt like i had been annoying him by pointing out and having him clean areas he didn't prior. In hindsight, I shouldn't have felt guilty considering the amount of money I was paying. Nevertheless, I felt bad, so I figured he probably did fine and wanted to bring him out a tip once I paid for everything. Once I went inside and paid the owner over the phone, I came outside and noticed he had already left. I had then looked more around at the car and noticed that all of the areas I had pointed out to him had not been taken care of. Initially, I was a little frustrated but not too upset and texted the owner to let him know I would clean it myself, but I wanted him to know. He sent the gentleman back, and he cleaned those areas and then left. Later, after a few days, I used my car for the first time heading to a convention. It became painfully obvious that he had not really cleaned basic areas. For example, the visor, areas around the dashboard, etc, which I wiped down with baby wipes, and was simple enough for the most part. However, why was that not taken care of. I found more than a handful of areas like this in the front and didn't bother checking the back. Honestly, this was pretty frustrating and confusing. Another thing is, a some water had gotten on the front chair, so i had used some Kleenex to soak some of it up and it looked like it hadnt gotten cleaned/ deep shampooed or what not at all. I'll post the pic of that as well. Overall, with the milk smell, that ended up fine, and I'll give him credit on that. I'm not sure if that is where all of his energy went, but I was definitely very confused overall by the experience. I didn't get a chance to discuss the rest of my issues with the owner once I noticed them a few days later since I was out of town for a week. From my limited experience talking to the owner, he seemed like a really nice guy who cared for his business. Of course, it was up to his employee to do better, and hopefully, he will for the future. I wouldn't say I would never use Kingdom Detailing again, but I would be a lot more present perhaps during the cleaning, or try to check things more thoroughly before whomever leaves.
