I get my car washed at Encinitas Car Wash regularly. Recently, I had my car detailed. They did an excellent job and the was reasonable. My car looks new again. Thank you so much! read more

The poor guys are so overworked and sadly by the time they get to your car the car is already dry w spots. They vacuum like they're blind and just truly suck all around. They've ruined my tires with cracking rims from driving into the stall to get it on the track and left me with metal shanks in my tire before denying it. Save your hard earned money and go elsewhere. read more

I brought my car here to get a wash. I didn't expect a fantastic job for 40 bucks, however, they didn't even vacuum my front seat. A standard car wash would vacuum my front seat! Rip off! I could've got the $10 car wash and gotten the same job done. I paid for the "Platinum" car wash. read more

Encinitas Car Wash - Didn't even pretend to wipe down the inside even a little. - Car Wash Near Me - Encinitas, California

I came here to get my brother's car washed and chose the Silver package, a basic wash. I asked if they could do a simple wipe down, but the salesman told me that's only included with the Platinum package, which cost $20 more. I declined, but asked if he could at least make sure the interior and trunk were vacuumed. He nodded yes. Funny enough when I sat down to wait for my car I see they do a basic wipe down for every car. They suck at upselling After the wash, I noticed there was still dirt and sand in the seats and the trunk. Very disappointing. On top of that, I realized I'd left my Ray-Ban glasses inside. When I called 30 to 45 minutes later to ask about them, the guy said he'd check "when he got a chance"--even though he was standing about ten steps from where I'd told him I was sitting. He didn't make a single effort to go look. I'm 100% certain I left them there and still no call back. read more

Scammed then lied to,...twice! Bought the $28 gold package to get my wheels cleaned. When car was done, the wheels were not. I asked the attendant about the wheels and he said that's as good as its going to get, even though I watched them the entire time and they never attempted the wheels. He then sprayed Windex on the wheel and barely wiped it, like I was a moron and thought that Windex would work. I later called to speak to a manager to inform them that I got scammed and he even lied and he said they do the wheels at the vacuum station. Lie number two, they do not. I went home and cleaned them perfectly myself after getting ripped off at Encinitas Car Wash. Never again. read more

This car wash experience was incredibly disappointing. I paid for a Gold wash for my small compact car, only to have them sneak in an unwarranted SUV surcharge. To make matters worse, the staff's attitude was terrible. The windshield was still dirty, and when I asked to have it wiped, the worker said I should wash it myself or get additional products to do so. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

DO NOT BRING A TESLA HERE. I've gotten my Model Y washed twice here and immediately after both times had issues that required service requests. I put it in car wash mode but every time I re-enter, they have disabled it which makes me think it's causing water intrusion issues. The first time was an issue with HVAC and second time I got in after they were done and it said my Frunk was open even though it's not, and won't go away with a reboot. read more

I had come here many times before, purchasing the bronze wash, and was so happy with both exterior and interior results. Unfortunately, this last time I went, I got back in my car and was so disappointed. It looked like they hadn't even wiped anything on the inside and barely vacuumed or touched my floor mats. I ended up redoing everything with my own supplies, and didn't want to waste my time going back and asking for a redo or refund. Attached are photos of what the inside of my car looked like right after. read more

Really appreciated having my car super well cleaned inside and out for $22. It was a Tuesday early afternoon and 5 men worked on my car to deliver it " like new " in minutes. The missing star is for their front cashier who was a grumpy young woman who was mumbling directions on how their CC machine worked (while turning her head away), did not give me the air freshener (part of the cleaning package) until I asked, then claimed she did not know how to use the air freshener (that I had to read the instructions on the package, btw: it's open it and place it under driver's seat) read more

They just Increased their prices by $3.00 for a basic wash, When I asked them about the $3.00 increase management reply to me was you rich people in this area can afford it and if you don't like it go elsewhere. I will NEVER EVER go their again. I have spoken to the owner about other issues in the past he does not care about you as a customer. I defiantly will not do business with these people. read more

I paid for the platinum service at $41.99 and to say that it wasn't worth the money is an understatement. Not only did they not clean my car well, inside or out, they broke a plastic piece on the driver's side door. I was in a hurry to get to some other errands or I would've spoken to management. Instead I left extremely disappointed and knowing I would've spoken never go back and I would definitely tell as many people as I can to not go here. Just horrible... read more

This place is stellar! Came here because I was feeling lazy and they did not disappoint. Got the bronze package for an exterior and interior cleaning (roughly $18 plus I tipped). They work swiftly and my car was squeaky clean in under 15 minutes. I'll be coming here for future car needs and definitely considering their package deals. Highly recommend! read more

Great car wash! quick service with good results. No sign of dog hair on the back seat.

It's a quick place to stop if you don't feel like cleaning & vacuuming your car, but if you actually want it really clean, this is not the place. There will still be dirt in the carpets, water streaks on the car, spots they just missed entirely. I've only ever gotten the cheap washes ($25 range) so I'm not sure if their detailing is any better. Every time I get my car washed here I come home and vacuum / wipe down additional parts of the car that were missed. But hey, at least it's cleaner than it was before I got there, right? read more

I used to go to their sister company in San Marcos but it went out of business in 2020. Luckily Encinitas car wash takes the car wash certificates that I bought from the San Marcos location. Went for the first time last week and they are following covid protocols with wearing a mask and limiting the number of people inside, etc. Luckily it was not crowded at 9 am on a Saturday and only 3 or 4 cars total. They could not figure out my hybrid and thought I still had the keys when the keys were in the car and the car was running, but they kept shutting it off instead of putting it in drive to move it. Other than that little snafu if went well, and fast. The car was cleaned for the first time in a long time and looks good. This location is right on El Camino real and has a large driveway and drive up to the drop off area. read more

I've had my cars washed here in the past and never had any incidents. I happen to have a brand new 2025 Lexus 550 vehicle that has ceramic coating which would mean no need for wax, but I expect to pay for that in car wash packages. I felt like the car was quite dusty, especially on the hood so I requested that my car be run through the car wash twice. I really only wanted this because a lot of times one wash through can leave dirt behind that then just scratches the hood of a black car when they're drying it off. I had originally wanted the silver package and a manager named Rodolfo was trying to tell me how awesome a deal it was for me just to pay for the silver wash twice. He claimed it was such a great deal! I elected to downgrade to the bronze wash and pay for that twice and add in tire dressing. Yes, I saved myself a few bucks, but I was not appreciative of having rodolfo trying to convince me that I was getting such a great deal on the silver wash twice when I was paying for multiple things twice like vacuuming my car, etc. I still paid for multiple services twice since I double paid for bronze and added the tire dressing. $45 all in for just having my car washed. Won't be doing this again. The cashier told me my might have had a better experience if Justin was here, but he was out today. While I was waiting I saw that they have a hand wash service which would have been a better option, but that was never offered to me when I was in line. read more

I paid $46 to wait for other cars to go in front of me ..First off , they are working in drying cars in front of me and my car is just sitting there for seven minutes and then they said oh we're busy but I am the first car in line and they are not attending to it! read more

Really disappointed. It was bad enough I had to tell them to clean the tires even though they said my car was ready, but the wheels were still dirty and the trunk was not vacuumed. Can't even send a message to them. I didn't have a coupon so paid full price. It wasn't even busy on Saturday afternoon. Now I know why. I won't go back. read more

Gold wash was no different than driving my car through a gas station wash. I had dirt from gloves on the dash, surprised the wind didn't blow it off. After getting the gold package, it was still there until I took a towel from them myself and wiped the dash. ALSO, now I have white dog hair in my car, I don't have a white dog.... maybe they should wash their towels... Pros: Close to home...and that's about it... Cons: Gold wash was far from it. Inside was filthy and now has someone else's white dog hair in my car! $26 plus tip is way over priced for rinsing off the outside. Obviously, won't be back. read more

I guess I should have checked the reviews. For $70 they did a pretty laughable job. I could of got the same wash for their lowest price. I ended up taking a towel with water to some exterior spots missed myself. Dirt and sand still all over my car. Why was my coins from the console thrown all over my floor? They also left my hood unlatched and my hood bounced the whole way home. read more

I had my car professionally hand waxed today and showed the technician where I had some wax buildup on my passenger side rear area and some sticky spots on the roof. No up sell either!! Plus they honored a coupon on the back of a Stater Bros grocery receipt! They honor competitors coupons they told me too. It's a less discount but good to know. Wow!! They did a phenomenal job! My car is a 2010 and it looks really awesome now! I'm very impressed for $60 that it would come out so beautifully! Thank you for doing excellent work at great prices and the wait was about 30-40 minutes or less at the busy lunch hour! read more

I am not going to give it 1 star because though I am overall UNHAPPY with my experience, there are things that were in their favor and proved to be of positive note. Preface - I took our Lexus GX SUV to have the Platinum Package completed which entails the following per their website as well as signage outside Exterior wash Undercarriage wash Rust inhibitor Full polymer protectant Wheel cleaner Tire dressing Polish wax Windows cleaned inside and outside Interior Vacuuming Doorjamb Cleaning Full Wipe Down Interior dusting wipe down and clean Waffle air freshener At first glance, everything looked great especially on the exterior, unfortunately that was as good as it got. There were still several drool marks on the inside of our windows from our dog who was not with me that day The inside was still dusty and many spots were over looked The inside was barely vacuumed There were several mater marks The doorjambs were not wiped down or cleaned There was trash left that wasnt even mine There was a towel left in the car and I didnt receive the air freshener SO to follow up - I emailed yesterday to discuss my experience so as not to take it directly to yelp - I always want to try and give the business an opportunity to rectify any issues or address and concerns. With no response, I called today 2/26/2021 and spoke to a Fernando, who told me to bring the car back and ask for Sergio. I asked when his hours are so I can plan my schedule since I live in 30 Minutes south of Encinitas and I work in LA, he said he wasnt sure to just come back and ask. That is probably the most inconsiderate response or compromise ive come across in a long time - with no promise for resolution you also want me to chase your manager??? So instead here we are, the things i do appreciate are: The waiting area and adherence to social distancing Process was pretty straight forward wash while wait Hand towel dried Potential to do better And at the price of the Platinum/Gold Packages QA is a big deal, because what i ended up getting? well its a Bronze or Silver - I would even venture to say its just an exterior basic wash. read more

It's about what I expected. Not great, not terrible. I got the gold wash and it was 27 dollars. Still quite a bit of dust in my car and I had to direct the detailers to clean really obvious stuff. At the end of the day they're just going through the motions. The speed of service was great but maybe that's because they did have much detail. Overall, really half ass work but not terrible hints the 3 star review. For my younger Californians they are what you all would call "Mid". read more

Don't forget to bring your coupon! They always have coupons on their website but they must be printed in order for the coupon to be honored. They have a variety of coupons but I assume the most commonly used one is for $4 off a gold, silver or platinum car wash. Today I had a gold wash (Under $18 with discount) and the interior was not cleaned thoroughly. I can still see dust on my dashboard and the wheel wasn't even touched. The interior isn't cleaned whatsoever, only vacuum. Great place for a quick car wash in the middle of the work week. Tends to get extremely packed on the weekends. read more
