First of all the Manager/Owner, whoever I spoke to BEFORE the car went into them, and now AFTER I received the car back, is the NASTIEST man I ever dealt with. I am the victim of bait & switch by Enterprise Car Sales & signed for a car with a moonroof but received a car without one so thinking it would fix things, they had Coachworks in Lodi NJ install an after market moonroof, which I was told was a bad idea but Coachworks assured me they have been doing moonroofs for 35 years and never had a complaint..YEAH RIGHT!!. I was GUARANTEED 2 things BEFORE any work was started on the car & the Mgr. Amy from Enterprise told me Coachworks is well aware of these 2 things so that is why I agreed to let them do it. They were non-negotiable:
1) I was to receive the specs for the moonroof so I can research & make sure the unit would be the proper inches from the windshield & told both Enterprise & Coachworks the head lamp console would have to be re-positioned so the moonroof would be over my head & not sacrifice the size of a mid-sized car's moonroof
2) I was promised the installation would be completed in 3 days, I dropped the car off Tuesday to Enterprise & needed it no later than Friday @ 3 p.m. when I planned on driving to Florida to try & see my only child who left for the Navy last year since I received not so great heath news & NJ was getting a snow storm so if this was going to interfere DO NOT start the work but they DID ANYWAY!!
Since my instructions to remove the console went ignored, & I did not receive ANY measurements at all, the moonroof placement & size LOOK RIDICULOUS!! The did not complete installation until the next Tuesday so I missed the chance to see my 19 yr old son & missed over a week of work and very needed income. I reiterated SO MANY TIMES..DO NOT START WORK ON THE CAR if these 2 things could not be met. I was willing to suffer the cold by driving with the windows open (I have severe claustrophobia) just for a chance to see my son again. Enterprise has done me dirty since the day I bought the car, and instead of them trying to remedy the despicable sales tactics that were used on me, they actually thought I would not notice Coachworks shoddy work and the stains all over the roof of my car!! I went to pick up the car today and saw the problems instantly & took pics of everything. Greasy fingerprints were left all over the shade of the moonroof & the inside cloth, the outer rim of the unit has 3/4" discoloration all the way around it (It looks as if fluid settled inside the unit and seeped through; like water damage), when looking at the installation from outside the car, the left rear corner is protruding, the shade inside the car not bent to be flush with the ceiling of the car, instead it is straight across so there is spacing around the edges, when I opened and closed the shade for the first time, the shade came back now having greasy "skid" marks on the sides from the gears or whatever. If the shade was tested they would have seen this problem so there are grease stains all over my cloth in different areas from different things that Coachworks must see as acceptable but I DO NOT. Before Enterprise sells a car, they replace the bumpers on each car if they have any scratches on them, and my car came back with a gash on the left rear bumper. My car mats are riddled work boot mud stains as if they were taken out of the car during installation, but the somebody walked all over them since the boots are facing all different directions. These mats are expensive!! There are Boot prints inside the door frame as if the worker was standing inside the open door to reach the roof & they never cleaned this up either before giving the car back. The cloth on and around the moonroof they installed is FILTHY!! Fingerprints, smudges, gear markings, etc. I cannot believe Coachworks released the car back to Enterprise looking like this! Don't they clean up their work before giving the car back?? Don't they make the workers wear gloves?? Don't they clean the mats they step all over?? I need to post these pictures so people can see what they did to this car. I do not do anything behind anybody's back so when I called Coachworks after picking up the car at Enterprise today, to tell them about the quality of their work & telling them I was giving them horrible reviews & posting the pics, it was the same nasty guy I talked to BEFORE the car was dropped off to go over the placement of the unit, he told me that I was NOT their customer, Enterprise is their customer & I need to take up these matters with Enterprise, not them!! WHO INSTALLED THE MOONROOF?? Coachworks did so this is their problem. Enterprise should not have accepted the car back in this condition so it is both their fault NO WORK WAS TO BE STARTED until I received the specs of unit & didn't so it was never approved & they caused me to miss the chance to see my boy. I am going to post a video showing their awful workmanship. read more
