Was taking the bus at 11:00 a.m from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. Arrived at the bus stop before 11:00 and after 11 I called Coach Run to see the status of the bus. The representative said that she could call to find out where the bus was since I told her 2 different people were also waiting there and one of them was waiting since 10. By the time the lady got back to me it was already 11:45 and she said that the bus was leaving the last stop in Vegas. I asked her if she could have the bus wait since there were so many of us waiting and I needed to get home because my dad was in the emergency room in LA and she said no. If she had gotten back to me sooner we could have all driven to the last stop but instead had to wait 3 hours for the next bus and the other lady that was waiting hardly spoke English and I had her call Coach Run so they could change her ticket and no one answered for over an hour. The driver of the 1:00 bus wouldn't even listen to our story and charged her another $20 just to ride again. She really had to go to LA to catch her flight back to Thailand. The representative said the driver saw no one there but if he was there how could he have missed all 3 of us there. No way! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!! read more

I want to agree with all of the other commenters who gave this bus service between Boston and New York 5 stars, but I am sorely disappointed because 45 minutes outside of Boston, the bus broke down and we were trapped for over 2 hours. The worst part was that the driver did not even attempt to inform us, and we were left wondering why we were stuck at a random gas station with the bus driver nowhere in sight. It is tempting to book this bus service because of how cheap it is when you compare to Megabus, Greyhound, etc. but I would definitely advise paying the extra few bucks for a more reliable company. read more

Review of Miami to Orlando route on CoachRun. I've used Megabus, RedCoach, GMG Transport, Greyhound. Positives: accurate durations. Negatives: No WiFi or outlets but those are just nice to haves. The worst thing is there is a bathroom on the bus but they lock it and only stop once for 15 mins. A guy really had to go and the bus driver made him pee on the side of the road, after he pleading with him for 10 mins. I find it inhumane. No food or even water bottles allowed on the bus. read more

ZERO STARS. DO NOT TRUST FIVE-STAR REVIEWS. Spend the money on a different service. Trust me. These buses are flimsy and break down, the drivers are rude and don't even speak English, and you will probably not even arrive at your destination. I haven't. I think that most of their good reviews on other platforms are by bots, or core employees. I gave them a couple of chances and took buses from New York to Boston, but here is the long story short: Drivers to do not speak English, and therefore cannot communicate when something is wrong. The buses are in poor working conditions, and we have had to stop on the side of the highway for several hours while the driver walked around outside, not knowing what to do. I've convinced Lyfts to pick me up from these random stops and drive me and a crew of strangers for 1 - 2 hours to our destination. THE BUS DOES NOT ISSUE REFUNDS, EVEN IF THEIR SERVICE IS NEVER CARRIED OUT. The response was: "We cannot guarantee your departure or arrival. We cannot honor your refund." Sad excuse for a service. Save yourself a $150 Uber or Lyft, along with hours of frustration and silence from the driver, and spend the money on another service. Ridiculous. read more

I booked a round-trip Coach Run bus from Boston, MA to the Bronx, NY. Less than 48 hours before my bus was supposed to leave Boston, I got an email that it had been cancelled and had to scramble to book another bus. After finding a more expensive option, I booked another Coach Run bus, but instead of dropping me off in the Bronx, the bus didn't let anyone off until we got to Chinatown in the lower end of Manhattan. Because of this, I made sure to call the company the day of my return journey to make sure that they would be picking me up in the Bronx, but after standing for a while at the indicated bus stop, the bust still never showed up. Don't book with Coach Run. The prices may be good, but it will not get you to your destination either on time or possibly even at all. read more

DO NOT BOOK BOOK A RIDE WITH THIS COMPANY! I REPEAT: DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY! My friend and I took a bus from NYC to Boston on MLK day after having a great experience in NYC. The ride home on this bus nearly spoiled our good moods. First of all, there is no official station. The bus picks up on the side of the street. We were supposed to leave at 5pm so we arrived at 4:50 because we assumed they would start boarding a little before the bus departs. WRONG. At 5:15 the bus had not even arrived. And they were not communicating anything to anyone. We just had to stand there and wait in 12 degree weather because we had no back up plan. The bus finally pulled up at 5:30pm and we did not leave NYC until about 5:40 when the itinerary said 5... The bus smelled like piss and B.O. and a mix of other horrible smells. The driver also made two stops that were NOT on the itinerary. He also stopped to get himself burger king without informing anyone what was going on... We got to Boston a whole hour later than anticipated. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. Incredibly unprofessional and not a single employee speaks a lick of English. read more

Outdated bus even though they advertised outlets. AC was pretty much non existent even though it was 90 degrees out so the bus was very stuffy. No tv and movies as advertised. No refreshments onboard as advertised. Would never ride with them again. Just pay an extra few bucks and go with FlixBus. read more

Tl;Dr: Stood in freezing rain for 20 minutes only to be told bus was overbooked. Bus showed up and stood in the parking lot for 20 minutes, with the driver standing in the doorway but not opening the door or letting us know why it was delayed. I finally knocked to get some answers, and he came out and tried to explain that the bus was overbooked and there weren't enough seats for us, and that we would have to get tickets for the later bus. Tried calling customer service to reschedule my ticket or get a refund, was put on hold for an hour before I gave up and hung up. Ended up buying a new ticket with a different bus company and am still trying to get a refund. read more

Frankly I'm amazed at how terrible this bus company is. If giving it 0 stars was possible, I would've. I purchased a round trip ticket from Boston to New York. On my way to New York, there was no incidents with getting on the bus. However, the quality of the ride was quite low. No WiFi, an out of order bathroom and nowhere to plug electronics in. All of this would've been excusable if it weren't for the bus' lateness. My bus was suppose to arrive in New York at 9:30 pm. There is no traffic. Despite this, the bus still manages to arrive an hour late to the bus stop. Nice. Now for my trip back to Boston from New York. My bus ticket is at 12:30. I get to the bus stop at 12:28, and attempt to board the bus. The driver tells me the bus is full and to wait for the next one. What!?! Apparently a bus with reserved seats can be full and so having bought a flexible ticket, I concede and change my ticket. Big mistake. I get back to the bus station at the same location at 4:20 pm for a 4:30 pm ticket. I wait for 20 minutes before I start to wonder if something is up; I mean, buses can be late occasionally. But I wait longer. The bus never shows. By 5 pm I give up. Wanting a refund I call customer service. The person calls the bus company and after waiting for 10 minutes on hold, I'm delighted to find out that Coach is claiming that the bus actually did stop at the location I was given. So, predictably, no refund. Nice, 60 dollars down the drain and 4.5 hours of my time wasted. Never. Ever. Take this bus company. Stay far away. You can get a greyhound or Peter Pan bus for the same price. read more

It turns out that I have time to write this review because my bus going from Fort Lauderdale to Orlando made two unscheduled stops. Kinda misses the point of "non-stop bus" don't you think? The driver spent the last hour of this white knuckle trip on his hands-free phone. Although the coach run site clearly states that you can have a snack on the bus, upon arrival the driver made it very clear N0 food. The Internet did not work which defeated the entire purpose of my riding a bus. Also there was a sign indicating that the toilets were out of service. The bus was clean but I was left with the impression that the driver had zero interest in getting us to our destinations safe, comfortable, or on time. I will next time take a Red Coach that clearly understands the concept of non-stop. read more

I would give it a 0 star if that's an option and do not use Coach Run Bus I purchased the ticket that depart at 6:30 am from flushing, NY to Boston, MA and I confirmed with them the night before that I will need to board at flushing and get picked up. I waited in the line until 8:17 am at the stated location the bus NEVER SHOWED UP. I called customer services for coachrun's NY office and was told to call back 5 minutes later at 7:50 am for an explanation why the bus never showed up. She said she will "ask the manager". I reached out to them again and called for over 20 times after 5 minutes consecutively but they just would not pick up the phone. That's their tactic. Whenever you ask them for something that they are not willing to answer they will tell you that they need to ask their manager and tell you to call back. Same situation happened last time I requested a refund because of their website error. She could have told me honestly that the bus will never come and I can leave and not waste 2 hours standing in 30 degree weather waiting for a no show bus. This is unacceptable in any degree and they are not even cheap for thanksgiving. read more

I didn't know how convenient it was to take a Bus out to Boston. I normally drive everywhere. The bus was 8 minutes from my residence in the Bronx(I didn't have to go into the city, a major Plus!). The bus was 16 minutes late, would be nice if we receive prior notification via text or email alert. Otherwise, the ride was great(I can read, relax or watch my movies). The cost was $21.00. I have never do this before. I have traveled before on the bus from VA-NY the first time was ok, I have seats and everything was nice. But las week I went back to NY. The bus was supposed to be there at 4:30 but it didn't show up until 5:10. (Before that a first bus passed and took 3 passengers and the left because it was full so we all were wondering what was going on) The bus was PACKED it was 5:10am and there was not seats because all the people were using two seats. About 10 of us were looking for seats and have to wake up the people who in a understanding rude way moved. And then in NY to come back I went to the bus and one of the ladies told me to go to talk with her fiend and the 69 to register. I went and showed the lady my id and tickets. She told me to go the 67... I went back and asked her is this the bus to VA? I told her the city and everything, and she said yes! The bus was already full but I didn't have to ask for a seat this time. I showed her the ticket where the lady who I registered with wrote the name of the city I was going to and the number of passengers. It was all good. When I was getting close I realized the bus was not going to stop. So my boyfriend went to asked and he said "NO" Im not gonna stop there the city is not on the schedule... he was nice about it tough he stopped at a gas station. I was shocked what If I decided to fall asleep and wake up in Georgia? It was really bad service, really bad. read more

The two stars are given to the good old days when there was still a okay quality for a bus run cheap like this. Now it's just sh*t, literally. Long story short, 1. Poor management, poor services. No seats remained even if you've booked ticket online. 2. Urine smell all over the bus. Not in a single case. And some of the buses don't have functional heat or charging ports. I travel from Pennsylvania to NYC and then to quincy frequently and I agree that this might be one of the cheapest bus trip around New York, however right at this point I decide that I would never be on this bus again. I'm on my way back to NYC on this bus now, I have the round trip tickets. The first part of the trip was horrible, I arrived at their China town Allen St stop at 5pm, which was half hour earlier than the bus leaving time, and then I waited there in a pretty short line for the bus. My phone went down around 5:15 pm, I didn't bring the remote charger with me but I thought the bus would be there soon and I could charge my phone on the bus. However, the 5:30 bus was late, extremely late, due to the "unpredictable" traffic, and there was no one that the confused people could reach out for more information. Around 6:40 pm, the bus that should be there before 5:30 finally arrived. But this was just the beginning of the tragic story. There were not enough seats for us, even if we've brought our tickets online. Can you imagine standing outside in a cold wind with a 7 pounds backpack for hours and when the bus finally came and you stepped on, they asked you to get off because there was no more seats? There was no representative and nobody knew the exact information. They lady that deals with the ticket told that there was another bus coming here, but she didn't know the phone number of that driver, so six of us waited there for half an hour not knowing whether there would be enough seats for us on the other bus. She managed to get the number and called the driver, and then told us the truth, the first bus was late for over an hour, so they picked both 5:30 passengers and 6:30 passengers on board, that was why we didn't get our booked seats even if we were waiting there since 5 pm. HOW COULD THEY DO THAT TO US. I had to pull out my laptop to charge my phone so that I could call my family. After another exhausted hour, the alternative bus finally arrived, at 7:40 pm. Nearly three hours waiting, finally here. You think that's all for the story? No, the rest of the journey was still horrible. That was a cold day and after standing outside for nearly 3 hours, I was cold and tired. However there was no heat in the bus, and it felt like there was an open window somewhere in the back. So cold, several people including me complained the coldness to the driver but he told us that the heat was broken, and he was as cold as we were...Also, the usb charging ports were not working. What could be worse? After the driver closed the window back there, there was the urine smell all over the bus. I don't know what they used in their restroom, but it really smelled sucks. So there was a bunch of people, waiting for hours, cold and tired, stuck in the cold air infiltrated bus, breath the smell of pee. And that was what coach run inc did to us. Actually I think I'm one of the most patient people and I'm willing to give them another chance. Unfortunately, now I am on this bus back to New York, it still smells like pee all over the bus, and this time with the heat on, even worse and more disgusting than last time. My breakfast isn't so well in my stomach, and I think I need to wash all my clothes and take a showers before meeting people with the urine smell. I don't think I will take this bus again. read more

This is a very unrliable bus company. They started a new bus stop at North Quincy Subway station but did not run Tue bus as promised. Six passengers including me waiting in freezing cold (25F) for 6pm bus since 5:15pm. But we found no bus in the parking zone across the Quincy high school(indicated on bus ticket). We called the number printed on ticket, no one answered. Eventually one of us called the www.gotobus.com ticket company phone number and spoke to one of the customer service person. She called the company and the company said they were here and picked up passengers already. That is totally not true. They offered no apolpgy or rwfund. I would not recommend this company to anyone. read more

CoachRun - Buses Near Me - Boston, Massachusetts

Cheap bus tickets. What else can you ask for? Well, a couple of other things would be nice. a) WiFi was not functional. When it was working, it was terribly slow; too slow for steaming videos or movies. b.) Driver did not greet customers with a friendly and courteous smile. Don't expect good customer service. c). Bus was cold. They kept the heat very low. I suspect they were trying to save on their operating costs. d.) Bus arrived over 30 minutes late to NYC even though it encountered very little traffic. They need to update their travel estimates. e.) No computer trays behind seats were available for laptops. f) Power outlets for charging were hard to reach under the seat; they should be placed behind the seat in-front of you a little above the seat level. g) There was no overhead light for reading during the night trip because the bus driver had disabled them. h) Passengers typically eat during the trip and so the bus becomes full of the smell of food, which for some foods it can be strong. i) During the possible rest stop(s), you need to be careful that you are not left behind. j) It was hard to reach the company's customer service when problems arose and get honest responses from them. k) the ride was bumpy; maybe the bus didn't have a good suspension system or good tires. In fairness, it wasn't all bad. l) the bus was overall clean. m) I had enough leg room so that I was not crammed. n) the windows were big and so I enjoyed viewing the scenery during my trip. o) the bus trip was relatively quiet p) they have convenient pickup/drop-off locations in Quincy and Boston near subway stations. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed my bus trip. However, you don't choose this bus company for quality service; you choose them for cheap bus tickets! This bus company has a lot of potential but they've forsaken a whole customer market because of their poor quality operation/service. read more

Absolute the worst bus service ever, saw many complaints about the restroom on the bus being out of order and it's 29th August and the restrooms are still out of order !!!!!!! 4 and half hour journey and you cannot eat or drink or pee or even bring anything to eat (you leave empty handed and come back empty handed) from the 10 minute (make sure you put timers or alarms and start running towards the bus because the driver will just leave without you) rest area spot into the bus because the driver does not want to make the efforts to clean the bus later on. I wonder if the 5 star reviews are paid reviews or else just faked. read more

Absolutely the worst company. We got on a small bus in Las Vegas that had no air flow in July in 110 degree weather unknowingly. We asked to change the bus but they couldn't help. There was no food or drink allowed but the driver pulled over and allowed us to get bags of ice to stay cool. When we called the company they said they couldn't do anything. It's completely illegal to leave children and animals in an enclosed vehicle with no air flow. And coach run believes they're above the law as they said they couldn't do anything in this situation. read more

I purchased a ticket for a 10:15AM bus from Boston (262 Harrison Ave) to NYC. No place to wait...had to ask where the bus picked up...10:45 still no bus. Called their office....no answer. This is a new Chinatown Bus Service between Boston, MA and New York City. The bus left on time and arrived on time. You only needed to show your booking on your Smartphone or bring a print-out. However, the seats were extra cramped together on the bus I was on. It seemed like they added some extra rows. The bus made a stop along the way at a Highway Rest Stop in Connecticut, which was nice as folks didn't have to wait in long lines to use the bathroom. Price was reasonable at $22 one way. Reminded me a lot of another defunct Chinatown bus service. Our driver used to drive was on their buses. I will definitely use again. read more

I took a Coach Run bus this past weekend to NYC, and when we arrive back in North Quincy, were greeted with the unpleasant surprise that our luggage had been stolen in Boston. The driver couldn't speak much English, so he did not help us, and in fact gave us a number to call that ended up being dead. I've been on the phone with them all week to try to figure out how to get our belongings back and they have been extremely unhelpful. After being passed back and forth from operator to operator I reach someone who point blank told me "we have no responsibility for your luggage" I booked the bus through Gotobus.com, and there was no clear indication that this was their policy, and had to click to several links to find it. Long story short, I will never be using gotobus or coach run again, and if you value your belongings I suggest you do to read more

I've only ridden this once from New York to Boston, so maybe my opinion will change for better or for worse in the future. But considering I booked a Sunday night trip within less than a week for only $20, this was a good deal. The bus arrived at the NY Chinatown location about 10 minutes before departure time. Tickets were checked after everyone had boarded, and this probably delayed the actual departure time a bit (wouldn't it be more logical to check tickets as we board, like most bus companies do??) The trip went fairly smoothly. There is no WiFi and no outlets, but there are 2 USB ports above every seat, so bring a phone charger with a long cord. We arrived pretty much on time. For some reason, there was a bit of confusion on the bus when we arrived at our destination. One lady in particular thought we would be dropped off at South Station. I don't know why, because my ticket clearly stated 85 Bedford St (somewhere on the border of Boston Chinatown and Downtown Crossing), which was where we were in fact getting dropped. I'm not sure why so many people missed the memo. Overall, my experience was comparable to ones I've had with Greyhound, Megabus and Boltbus, but more affordable considering the last minute purchase. Maybe future rides won't be as smooth, but I'd be willing to use this service again. read more

I found this new Chinatown Bus Service between Boston, MA and New York City online when I was searching for an alternative to drive. What really impressed me most was its punctuality, which I have not been getting from other bus lines recently, especially coming back from NYC (and I tried a variety). This is critical when you plan to arrive back to Boston in time for the last T train from South Station, otherwise an expensive taxi ride back home! To leave from NYC, I got off at Grant St subway station and walked along Grand St for a couple of blocks to Allen St, picking up food and drink for the journey along the way. The bus was waiting, and an agent was on the bus ticking off names of advance booking as you board with a print-out. For some reason my name was not on the list, but there was no problem as I was there 30-min before the departure and there were plenty of seats left then. So I highly recommend you to arrive there about 30-min before the departure to secure your seat. Online purchase of bus ticket was easy. Price was very reasonable $22 one way with no online handling charge. I will definitely use it again, as long as it maintains its punctuality! read more

Worst bus service ever!! 0 stars!!! There was a group of people waiting for the bus to pick up in fort Lauderdale. Bus was suppose to depart at 6 pm. I arrived an hour early around 440. 6 pm rolls around in Dania beach. No bus in sight. 638 pm a big white clean bus pulls up and We get on. I ask the driver why were you so late. He said traffic. I say okay. Now this bus has a bathroom. The driver will not allow any passenger to use the bathroom. Also 4 hr trip no food or drink. Driver announces we will be stopping in pompano beach for bathroom break for 10 minutes. We get back on and go. The route is I 95 north and we are in middle of rush hour... We make another stop in port. St. Lucie and pick up like 10 new passengers. Not sure why this is. Now we head back on towards Orlando. We were suppose to drop off at passengers in Kissimmee at 930. That didnt happen. Arrived at Kissimmee at 1107. Now im heading to final destination Orlando. The bus did swerve a lot and no one knew why.. Perhaps driver was falling asleep. This was the worst experience I've ever had with any form of public transportation. I took a bus with this service from NYC to Boston and it was a nightmare the entire time. Starting with the boarding, the man loading the bus screamed at people the entire time while getting on, rushing us to sit down and fill every seat. He was trying to force people to sit with strangers even though their significant other was losing luggage and would be on top in just a minute. They over booked the bus so a whole group loaded and realized there was no more seats and then had to get off and then remove their luggage. Then there was no AC on the bus and without exaggeration the temperature must have been 80+ degrees. I am not a picky person and I typically go with the flow on everything with no complaints but I'm telling you the temperature was incredible. I personally was sweating and it was hard to breath. 5+ people went to the bus driver with their concerns of the heat and this apparently frustrated the bus driver because he got so upset he pulled the bus over on the highway and screamed in Chinese at us for about 5 minutes then had us all unload on the side of the road for fresh air while he smoked a cigarette. At this point my party and I are panicking and looking up Uber's and train tickets. 2 people on the bus with us got off the bus at this point and never came back, our driver didn't seem to care at all that they were leaving. Once we boarded again we spent the next 2 hours in the 80+ temperature bus. Once it got dark we realized the lights on the bus didn't work and the bathroom didn't have a working light or toilet paper or hand sanitizer. This experience was not worth anything in the world. I would rather walk from NYC to Boston then take this bus again. On top of that, after this incident my friend who I took the bus with got an email saying they would offer her a refund for her inconveniences. I emailed them and they would not honor the same for me. I don't know why there policies change from person to person, it's probably because there's absolutely no rhyme or reason to this company at all. Management is obviously a joke and I truest believe this company is just one big scam. Save yourself the hassle and never use this company!!!!!! read more

A lot of people here seem to have had a bad experience on this bus. But mine was quite the opposite. NYC to Boston on a Friday night was an easy, painless, comfortable experience. 5:00 bus was present when I arrived at the station 15 mins in advance. Boarding started 10 mins before departure and the bus was on its way by 5:05. My experience with most buses is its rare to see them depart on time, especially on a Friday. We arrived in Boston by 9:40 (4.5 hours on Fri night is about the best anyone can expect). Seats were fine, temperature was comfortable, communication was good, outlets worked, and the price was unbeatable - really no complaints. The only thing I had a bit of trouble on was paying through their online system as I got errors using my CC, but it worked through PayPal so not a big problem. read more

I took Coach for the first time last Friday, heading from DC to New York. The bus was meant to leave at 7:30 pm, but didn't show until roughly 8:30, with no explanation why it was late. I'd tried calling Coach after about 30 minutes of waiting, but the office was closed. Along the way we got off on the wrong exit and had to get back on, then got off at the next one for a rest stop after only an hour, once again with no explanation. The price was good for my one-way trip, but I wish they'd have better customer service in responding to phone calls and providing explanations on lateness and random stops. I'll think twice about taking them again. read more

From start to finish this experience couldn't have been worse. The Coachrun bus was actually an unmarked sketchy bus leaving from a random street in Chinatown NYC. Zero communication or organization- travellers all lined up on the sidewalk had no idea where the bus was or if they were even at the right place. Information was being passed down like a game of telephone. When the bus arrived, it was quickly determined that it was overbooked so a mob of people all elbowed their way in to the bus, NOBODY WAS CHECKING TICKETS. Bus left late and arrived extremely late, causing me to miss my transfer requiring spending the night in Boston as there were no other options at that time. Scam scam scam.
