We entered the store weren't greeted at all the associates seemed more concerned with chatting with each other than helping guests. Terrible customer service. I bought a Wallet for my daughter for Christmas and wasn't able to return it to the store until January 23 because everyone got sick with Covid one after the other in my household. The manager on duty, Jackie wrinkle, told me that it was past the time that I could return the item for a refund even though Christmas was less than 30 days ago. She said she could give me store credit but I am not interested in that at all. I explain to her that my household was continually quarantined for 10 days at a time because as soon as one person in the household was better from Covid, another person tested positive. She said that didn't matter at all and she still could not give me a refund I will never buy anything from coach again and will recommend the same to everyone I know. read more

Had to return a shoe and, unlike Orange County where I can go to 3 malls in a 7 mile radius, the South Bay only had 1 Coach location at Del Amo Mall near the food court and a Starbucks. I had purchased my shoe online, and one of the salesgirl had difficulty refunding my shipping. I told her not to worry about it, as technically shipping is never included in a return. I didn't have the credit card I used on me, so they issued me a merchandise credit that I can use at any Coach store or outlet. I gave her my ID and she gave me my credit. No problem there. I would have given this store 5 stars for the efficient service it it wasn't for the sales girl who kept asking me "what else are you looking for" or "in a few weeks we are having new merchandise, please come back and check us out". She even brought out purses for me to look at, when they were not even the kind of purses I liked. I get it they want me to shop there, but if she looked at my ID, I don't live closeby to this store. I live in Orange County, where the South Coast Plaza location is 3x's the size of this store. Plus, I told her I knew the Coach line extremely well, and there's nothing I needed at this time. My boyfriend purchased a coach bag for me for Christmas and the guy he bought it from told him if I didn't like it that it could be returned or exchanged. Low and behold, I wanted to exchange it as I didn't really like the style or the fact that it had no loops to attach a full strap or anything. We tried to return to the coach store twice since Christmas. Once on Jan 2nd and again on the 3rd of January. On the 2nd we returned to the store in Sherman Oaks where it was purchased (my boyfriend works for the picture studios and was up there for Covid testing and figured he would get some shopping done as the testing site was at the Fashion Center Square) but they had also been temporarily closed due to Covid. On the 3rd we came to this location at the Del Amo mall because we live in Gardena and it's the closest location. Long story short the workers did not want to help what so ever even though I explained that I had came multiple times trying to not return, BUT EXCHANGE for the MORE EXPENSIVE BAG. They continued to tell me "unfortunately" it had been too long and they couldn't help me. When I told them that they were closed when I came they stated that only a couple days had they closed due to staffing issues due to Covid. Funny, because all the other locations were closed and also a google search during that time showed locations temporarily closed. Attached will be the photos of the note posted at the door stating they weren't open. The coach site also states 30 days to be able to return ONCE LOCATIONS ARE OPENED. UNFORTUNATELY, I don't know when they intended to open and am not going to continue to randomly visit the mall just to see, again DURING COVID. At one point online it showed they should be open but when you call there was no answer. Once I learned outdoor dining had opened in LA County was when I assumed they would be open as well. Well I was right, they were open again finally but not willing to help me. Love how they tried to pretend they only had closed randomly a couple days and acted as if all locations weren't closed. She told me the store was open all of December, January, and now February. Total lie, again see the attached photo. The item I tried to exchange was UNUSED. In the box, in the wrapping. With the receipt still in the sleeve. This location didn't want to help at all. Do not shop this location. Long story short I drove back to Sherman oaks, 20 miles away and a 40 minute drive later and the employee, Maya, from the new location was amazing and helped me so much. And I spent an extra 225 dollars on a purse I would actually use ! Thanks again Maya from Sherman Oaks, and no thank you to any of the women that "helped" me that day. One of the best Coach stores around. Although this location is small, they more than make up for it with the service. The team with Lea, Sandra, and Brooke are wonderful! They always show me the new stuff that are coming out and they always try to show you something along the lines of the things I like. Del Amo shoppers now have the convenience of visiting the Coach selection inside the Macy's or walking 50 yards to the actual Coach Store in the mall. What's the difference? A larger selection of handbags, accessories, and cute employees. As cute as they might be, I can't excuse them for making me feel ignored. I'm not there to be a lookie loo, I'm there on a mission; in and out in under three minutes. I walk up to the product that I'd like to purchase, and then I wait. I look around with my "please help me" eyes that I have perfected over the years and wait for someone to walk up to me so I can say, "I'll take this one, can you wrap it up please?" Sadly, it took a couple of minutes before someone could help me. I wouldn't have minded if the place was full and associates were unavailable. Problem is: there were plenty of people there working on other tasks. I would have really appreciated for them to look up and give me a "someone will be with you in a second." When I finally did get noticed, the transaction was pleasant and smooth. You really can't complain when pretty girls are paid to be nice to you. My purchase was wrapped in a quick jiffy and I was out of there, not as quick as I would have liked, but still not unreasonable. read more

Besides the outlets around California and Nevada this is the only full price Coach store I have ever purchased merchandise from. I've never experienced a wait or any other issues. Maybe it's the time I chose to go but more often than not I'm the only costumer in the store. Having the associate cater to my every need and desire makes me feel a bit special :) Walked in because I had a 30% off coupon and a gift card. I knew specifically what I was looking for because I had scoped it out online. I needed a new handbag but when I got to the store I didn't see the one I wanted. The sales girl said it was in the back and brought out a few more she thought I would be interested in...so glad she did. The original handbag I wanted was huge...I'm a small/medium bag carrier. I ended up going with one of the bags she recommended but not before I had her walk around the whole store showing me bags. The sales associate, Laura, was very sweet and helpful...and beautiful, with a sexy accent! This was my first time visiting the Coach Store in Del Amo. In fact, I didn't even know it existed but I digress. I didn't know what to expect when I walked in. Would they be snooty & stuck up? Thankfully they didn't turn their nose up at me when I walked in. Instead they greeted me with a smile. They also didn't follow me everywhere as I looked at the bags, that'd get old REAL fast. Instead they just let me be & encouraged me to open the bags & wear them around the store to get a feel for it. One of the associates, Katie was super helpful. I told her I was looking for a shoulder bag & she asked me what colors I wanted & the material too. She pointed out a few from each collection they had & also told me it'd be helpful to compare them side by side. She wasn't pushy either. After I made my decision, it didn't take long for them to ring me up. They did say they needed to wrap my bag, something I didn't experience before. So that took a few mins & then they brought out my bag wrapped in tissue paper & the bag cover it comes with in a nice coach store bag. Not necessary but a nice touch. A few weeks later, I received a hand written note from Katie thanking me for coming in & for my purchase. Again, very nice touch, you don't see that everywhere. Here's a good reason for spring cleaning. Store credit to Coach! (Note: this may not apply to you, just me) I was thrilled but the credit was printed on thermal paper. Meaning it was faded and barely legible. I didn't even know how much credit I had! Cut to me visiting this Coach store. I walked to the counter and was greeted by a rep but she couldn't help me and told me to wait for the manager. I waited for awhile as the manager chatted with a customer who didn't even buy anything (minus one star). Just as my patience was reaching its limit, she came over and helped me. She patiently tried to decipher my store credit. Turns out I had enough to buy a nice purse. Yays to me! I saw the sparkle sensation purse I wanted plus a possible wallet for my guy. Another rep who looked similar to the manager helped me look up the wallet info for ordering later. It was nice customer service. The manager processed my fabulous purse sale and told me I still had credit left. Nice! This time I got the credit on a plastic card so no more faded thermal paper. The customer service here is great! Prior to visiting, I had gone to the Coach in Los Cerritos Center with my duffel bag that I got online at Coach Factory Outlet. I went to inquire about a repair or strap replacement on my canvas duffel and the associate just told me that there was nothing they could do about it...that's nice to hear considering the bag costed $300, on sale. You would think the quality would be better as I only used the bag about 5 times but that's another rant. Anyway, I called Del Amo Coach right after and already felt better. The employee on the phone assured me that they would see what they could do if I brought in the bag to be assessed. So, I did that and was greeted immediately. I explained my problem to the associate and he told me that they could ship it out to see what could be done but that it was $90. Of course I'll pay, you angel! I think the associate that helped me was named Alejandro, since that was the name printed on my confirmation page. This Coach store actually makes the effort. They were honest about the negative outlook of my strap repair or replacement, since the particular color and material might not be available, but told me that they hoped they were wrong and that I would be contacted about the progress of my bag.
