BIG KUDOS! I would like to send a big shout-out to the staff at Emerald City…read moreAthletic Club to go beyond to help a fellow member. I have been going to this establishment for 16 years and I could not be happier. The club put a lot of money into recent renovations and upgrades. It is up to standards with state-of-the-art equipment. Whether a person chooses to use the machinery for cardiovascular purposes, muscle strength, or weight loss, this is the ideal place to achieve your fitness goals! It simply is not possible to walk out the door without feeling a profound sense of accomplishment and better overall health. The best part of all is the staff. I have had Cerebral Palsy all my life. I have had to make do with one wheelchair to use both inside my home and in my car. It was in bad shape. There is a wonderful maintenance lady by the name of Jen H. surprised me and gave me a cool wheelchair that she had at home. This chair was brand new and is a great chair for me to utilize at home. But the kindness and compassion did not stop there. My old wheelchair was in desperate need of an overhaul. She went ahead and ordered me a new seat for the chair and new armrests. Now, I can feel more at ease knowing I have extra reinforcements with new and sturdy material. Now I have both a wheelchair for my house and one for my car that I can use at the gym. That made my life so much easier. Jenn and a courteous staff member by the name of John Y. volunteered their time and installed both items for me right there at the club. The staff is so caring and friendly, and they do put the customer first as you can see. There is also a friendly lady who works at the front desk named Jenny V. who helps me put my wheelchair in my car when I am ready to leave at the end of the day. The staff at this club makes me feel like I matter. They are like family to me. I am committed to being a lifelong member of this gym. I give my highest regards and recommendations to this staff and cannot speak highly enough about them. If you are looking for a new gym, please go to the Emerald City Athletic Club. You will not be disappointed.

If you're looking for a spot with good racks & weight friendly this is it but if you're a bit in the heavy side and you're looking to start your journey I wouldn't go here they will try and swing a " deal" for 160 a month .... Yeah no

We've tried many different programs and instructors, and my daughter just hasn't "taken" to the water. In comes Addie, and after a couple of months with her patience and kindness, I now have a swimmer. In addition, the entry to the facility always looks really clean and tidy. The staff are always really kind and polite!

For this reason I canceled my me ever that just signed up for and paid the registration fee (over $500 Which includes the membership fee). So basically I have been told that if I would have contacted them before the 25th of the month, they could have refunded the membership fee but not that we are past it nothing can happen. If ever I would like to sign up again, I would still have to pay $200. This seems like a rip off and my kid come here for his classes and I come here for my beginner classes as well. Seems like it doesn't matter about customer satisfaction for them. They will Include any rule to make sure they are getting the money. Again, I like individuals here. But as business they definitely suck. I would not recommend being a member here cause as long as you are remember, you are fine but other than that it's a loss of money for you. Many would argue that I should have read terms and condition (which is in benefits to the club) but circumstances arise where you are an advocate to yourself. Be careful to becoming their member because it is a rip off, you may not know it just yet.

Would not recommend either coach (wife or husband). For so many reasons. Had to repeat multiple…read moretimes what goals are. Showed that didn't read responses to intake form. I would put in a lot of effort with comments after each work out with hardly any response. Two times asked why felt that way with no follow up. The husband coach never set up the training plan promised and what was payed for. With both so much complexity in to making planning arrangements for a few minute call with many cancellations/changes in agreed upon meetings. Sorry to say this didn't work out.

All…read morecommunications around training logistics and coaching were done through multiple Facebook groups, and quickly slipped from very thorough and personalized to intermittent, inconsistent, inaccurate, and often confusing. I stopped attending the weekly trainings about halfway through for a number of reasons: 1) Grace and/or Arnie more often than not were not present and had a random volunteer pacer do their best to lead the run in their place, 2) there was essentially no coaching even when Grace and/or Arnie did show up beyond a pep talk and stretch or a quick chat about running attire/gear/fuel, 3) of the 20 paid participants, a good week saw 5 show up, and 4) very basic information like training calendars was consistently inaccurate, unavailable, or unclear. 5) The final nail in the coffin for me was their inability to communicate by any direct channel other than a web of Facebook groups and PMs, despite having all of my personal contact info on file as a paid member and as a paid participant in the training I registered for. It's clear this family business was built on good intentions and a passion for athletics. Unfortunately the followthrough I experienced was completely half hazard, disorganized at best, and a barrage of Facebook promotional content for their running and personal training events. If you're a fan of juggling multiple Facebook groups on a daily basis so you can keep track of a recreational running calendar no one shows up for, look no further. Save your money and join any number of better organized FREE area running clubs if you're looking to train for a big run. **EDIT: Since sharing my experience, I've been on the receiving end of a series of personal attacks from Grace. Most notably, she felt it appropriate to broadcast to the thousands of followers of her PNWLRG Facebook pages that I was not welcome, and anyone who associated with me was also not welcome. This continues to be the least professional fitness experience of my life.

I find Home Fitness With Ana to be a perfect match to my exercise needs. My background is in…read moresports, focused mainly on running, and I know fairly well how to succeed at running. But the body contains more than running muscles, and the exercises to strengthen and maintain the core, shoulders, and back need to be learned and practiced. Ana is a certified trainer who is very good at assessments, and at designing plans addressed to my particular weaknesses. She also provides good advice on food choices, amounts, and times and I have prospered by following her advice. I happen to be a 62 year old male who by following Ana's training and eating instructions has dropped from 195 lb down to 165 lbs. I am extremely pleased by this, and believe me, racing and living at 165 lbs is much easier than at 195 lbs. I recommend Home Fitness With Ana to anyone who would like careful personal attention, and a program tailored precisely to your own situation. :-) Monte Evans -- Boeing Engineer
