This is a great place to visit - whether you're out for a few with friends or with your partner for a meal. I have visited the Coach Inn a few times, the last time I dropped in there was a 21st birthday party upstairs and everyone seemed to be having a great craic!
Me and herself had a drink before our meal, I had a Guinness which was really good, probably the best pint I've had in ages. She had a Ritz and we sat listening to the nights entertainment which was a DJ, and he played some really good sounds and didn't blow the eardrums out of us!!
The service was absolutely fantastic, there was plenty of floor staff on and we didn't have to leave our seats...even to order our meals! We both agreed the menu was the best pub menu we've seen, with all the food on one side and the wine on the back.
I ordered the spicy chicken wings, they were about €5.50 and they were gorgeous - you'd eat them all day!!! The other half ordered the stuffed button mushrooms which came with cheese and streaky bacon - I just had to look at her face to see how much she was enjoying them...and wouldn't give me one!!!
For the main meal, the friendly waitress recommended the beef hot sizzling skillet, and I'll tell you something, she didn't lie!! I've never tasted anything like it, man it was the best! I strongly recommend this. I got it with black bean sauce - but there's a choice of two or three other sauces. The missus had chicken & bacon carbonara - and she's had this in a few restaurants around Dublin, but she said this was wonderful and far the best - she loved the white wine sauce. We had chunky chips and noodles as sides - just unbelievable.
All in all, the Coach inn is a really great place to go for a few drinks and especially a meal - I will defo be back. read more
