I wanted to wait until I had enough experience here to write a review, and I think I'm ready now that I have attended 11 classes. But in truth I knew from the first class that I would rate this place 5-stars. I like it enough that I'm committing to a 3 month unlimited membership; I can tell it's made a positive difference to me physically and mentally and that I have lots of room to grow. I have done the foundations and cardio classes, and have worked with 3 instructors (Rikki, Kady, and Rowena). For me, Pilates is exercise that is easy and safe to do, but hard to master. It's about core strength and flexibility, breathing, and focus on the details, and that's exactly what you get here. The instructors all have slightly different styles, but they keep the class moving through different exercises, talking through the areas of focus, pausing to give individual feedback as needed. The feedback is always positive and supportive. The exercises seem simple, but they are tough and make even the strongest person give a little gasp (in a good way!) They are welcoming of everyone of every ability and age, so it's a great environment. Jessie has been great, remembering me when I come in or call, and seems to know lots of the customers by name. read more

I've only been coming here for a little under a month (6 classes taken so far), but I'm already obsessed! I've tried a lot of different things to be active over the years, and nothing has gotten me quite as excited as pilates at this studio. I never have to drag myself to go get this done because I'm always so excited to come. My favorite thing about it is feeling like this isn't just a good workout for my body but a really nice, peaceful, almost meditative break for my mind. All the instructors I've had so far have been amazing but I have to say Amber is absolutely my favorite! She really takes the time to correct your form and make sure the right muscles are activated and working, and she's so kind, encouraging, and motivating. I have been a member here for a few months now, and Co-Op has been amazing! They provide excellent customer service. Are always kind, and patient with me. I always feel a warm welcome when I walk into their doors. I feel like part of the family here. Not a clique/stuffy feeling that some other gyms have had. My Pilates journey includes... nothing lol! I literally walked in here with zero knowledge, besides one Pilates class years ago (not a good experience). Thr instructors here are incredible. I love Co-Op Pilates! I was looking for a place to help me get strong as I have postpartum nerve damage in my back/ hip area. (Multiple injections and PT were minimally successful.) I tried Co-Op because they had a first class free. I'd only ever done mat pilates and I was nervous about the reformers and, honestly, the other students in the class. I was so reassured by the warm, friendly staff and teachers and the inclusive vibe of the studio. I'd planned to shop around for other studios but I never did! Jessi (the owner) is so friendly, down to earth, and really works hard to cultivate a sense of community. The instructors are helpful with tailoring moves for all abilities. Even though I live on the other side of Irvine, I ultimately bought a membership because it's truly my home studio. After 5 years of chronic pain and a fear of working out because of my pain, i decided to try Pilates and the Co-Op classes have been monumental for my health both physically and mentally. I took advantage of the first class free special to see if I would like pilates/ the studio and make sure it felt right for my pain. My first class was with Korbi and although nervous - by the end the mental block causing me to fear workouts had cracked a little. I felt capable and energized after class. Since that first class I have worked my way up to 3-4 classes a week and I love every moment of my classes. I feel stronger, more confident, improved balance, and notice my mental health improving. I've been coming to Coop Pilates for well over a year. Booking classes is easy, on the app or at the counter. They can be reserved up to 2 weeks in advance. There is a wide range of ages and sizes of people coming here, also a few men. I always feel comfortable and there has never been a competitive feel during a class. They have several types of workouts and even a pregnancy class! They have everything you need if you forget something, like, hair ties, socks, snacks and drinks. One of the best things for me is that there is a parking lot with plenty of free parking always available, so I don't have to deal with a giant lot! read more

I've been attending Co-op for a year now, and it's been the best experience. I usually attend in the evenings, but I really appreciate the variety of times they offer. I typically go to the advanced classes that are most suitable for me. The studio is clean and welcoming and has a great atmosphere that keeps me motivated. As soon as I walk in each visit, Courtnee usually greets me and everyone else by name. She is so welcoming and energetic each and every time. I love it; it's so contagious. There are many instructors. They are all knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely care about each student's progress. Rowena, in my mind, we are best friends because she is so funny. Lol. She has tons of experience as an instructor, and it shows she is very patient and provides you with hands-on assistance, which I appreciate. Amber is great. You can tell she really eats, sleeps, and breathes Pilates. She comes up with new, unique exercises each week, and it's great she gets to the muscles I didn't even know were there. Miranda, too, you can tell she loves what she does. What I love about her is she ensures that she tends to the entire body each class. She also incorporates most of the equipment in addition to the reformer, which makes her classes unique and varied. And lastly, her music playlist is always fire, which is very important for any fitness class. I've seen significant improvements in my strength, flexibility, and overall well-being. I haven't been on a reformer for years, so I took the Fundamentals class with Elbe. She was challenging but so personable and her music choices got me through the workout! Good for beginners but they also have harder classes for more advanced students. Easy parking! Interior space with lots of natural light and air conditioning! The unlimited subscription is a great price for those attending 3+ times a week (which you'll want to do after going to Elbe's class!). read more

I took only group Pilates at this facility. With that, I found that Rowena is super awesome, the other instructors are great, and the facility is wonderful. I have done reformer Pilates, private and group, for over 16 years. As such, I have experienced many instructors and studios and have been on instructor evaluation teams. It takes more than having good knowledge and skill to be an "a level above" Pilates instructor. I'm embarrassed to say it took me SO long to write a review of this fabulous place. I've been loving on the Co-Op for about a year now! After re-locating to Orange County from LA a little over 2 years ago I struggled to find a Pilates studio that felt like home and had everything I was looking for (equipment, a modern edge, proximity to home, and great instructors). I was at my previous studio for over 6 years and being a former Pilates instructor I guess I have "high" expectations because I probably tried about 10-12 studios in OC/South OC before finally landing at The Co-Op! The owner Jessi is such a kind warm person, you can tell the instant you meet her that she radiates good vibes (she's also a fabulous teacher if you can manage to get lucky and take one of her classes!) I love so many of the instructors for different reasons, Miranda for her flows, my girl Amber for her anatomy knowledge, Rowena for her creativity and personality, and Ricki for her form and alignment - she always challenges me! I feel so lucky that I finally found a studio that I love as much as my studio in LA. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You won't be disappointed :) read more
