The chicken sandwich looked fine at first, but after taking a bite, I realized the chicken was incredibly thin. The breading was actually thicker than the meat, and the chicken itself was dry and lacked the juicy texture I expected. It honestly felt like I got a leftover end piece instead of a proper fillet. I also ordered Medium spice, but there was barely any flavor or heat. It didn't taste like the Dave's I remember. I'm hoping this was just an issue with whoever was working in the kitchen that day, because the difference compared to my previous visits was pretty dramatic. I know this place can be much better than what I was served this time.

The spice/heat level of the chicken is perfect and I appreciate the option to choose. I also love the wall art. Great service, too! After the owner passed away his brother took over the place and the chicken pieces went way down in size and cooked to death. The chicken did have a flavor too it which was good, but got a little boring. The nice thing is that the chicken was crispier (but it was also less juicy). Pieces were smaller than other fried chicken spots like Popeyes. I ate 6 pieces versus the 4 I would usually have. No parking lot. Need to find a street spot

I ordered breast and wings, but they gave me breast and legs unfortunately.. I even called to confirm via phone that I will be getting breast and wings per my special instructions. The guy who answered the phone, said yes..but he still gave me dark meat.. I didn't really enjoy the dark meat, but the breasts were really good. The oxtails were just OK. Don't expect that Caribbean / Jamaican flavor from their Oxtails, you definitely won't get that.. their oxtails are cooked Spanish style and served with pieces of stewed potatoes (which I love, i'm a Potatoe head lol) and yellow rice and beans. Overall, I would definitely order from here again when I'm in the mood for some fried chicken.
