Tips for future customers: 1. Please don't hesitate to send a request for a call from Clutter in their add. You WILL get a phone call from a professional within minutes. And this person will walk you through the entire process very thoroughly with solid knowledge of what he or she is doing and the set up will meet all your needs. My contact was Cristian A. Cannot thank him enough, because our move was urgent and by the volume of our belongings I thought I needed a hangar to store them. Cristian went by the info I gave him and was right on point for the storage size we needed to rent. We filled it at 97%! He was THAT precise. Although I asked to go with one size larger (only $10 difference per month), yet, we stayed with his initial estimate. 2. Truck and the team can be available to pick up the cargo within just 2 days. I consider it "immediately". Pick up and delivery are free, no extra cost to the customer. 2. Team sends you a text with ETA (helps a lot to be ready). Movers arrive on time and they inform you of their whereabouts on their way. You can monitor their arrival in real time on a city map you get via text message. Moving team also can help you pack, however, team labor comes at cost, so having everything packed and ready to go will save money to future customers, if you don't need extra help packing. 3. The team who helped me were: Kevin (the lead), Anthony and Genesis. If you ever come across those three - consider yourselves done as soon as they arrive! Those guys (even though it was very first shift for Anthony and Genesis) were supper professional, very friendly, and very efficient under Kevin's lead. They loaded the garage, items from the apartment, everything was wrapped and secured as if they were moving their own belongings. Great care and respect towards other people's property. And no matter how challenging some items might have been - everything was done with a smile, a joke and reassurance that it will be done well and with care. And so it was! Another tip for future customers: have your boxes packed and sealed if you want to save time/cost. Unsealed containers have to be photographed and description of contents entered into database. That takes time. If boxes are sealed, team only needs to take a picture of a box and label it with a code for future access through Clutter website. One more thing: prices for storage are beyond competitive when you choose Clutter.com. As I estimated moving costs, I ended up needing around 10x20 storage, which was around $350-$400 around my area in heated storage facilities. Plus the expense of renting a truck, labor cost of movers, and packing supplies. Clutter.com charged me just a fraction of all those costs. Instead of spending close to a $1500 on the move, I ended up spending a little over 20% of that amount, including packing supplies. (I must note, though, I was lucky to call during a special promotion, where team labor was free. But even with labor cost I would have saved more than 65% of my estimated moving expenses). Bottom line: with Clutter.com you will only pay for storage space and labor cost of the movers team. If you happen to run out of packing supplies - they do have extra boxes/tape/wrap on their truck. No need making a run to a store to supplement. You will be completely taken care of, stress free and focused on task at hand. You will be informed of every step of the team once they head out towards your home, they will take great care of your items. Please ask as you make arrangements what type of items they are not permitted to store (liquids, food, flammables, etc). This will also save you time and money when the team is packing and loading your cargo. Also, since you won't have direct access to your items at a Clutter.com storage facility, be sure to label your boxes well, or make a list as you pack, so you know what boxes contain what items. You will have access to your belongings via internet website, and if you need something - you can request a box, or 10 or 20 to be delivered to you wherever you need them from a list with the photo of a stored item via their website. I utilized Clutter's storage services on April 6th, do move my belongings into their facility while I prepare to find my perfect home. First I would like to say how helpful their support staff is, they were able to give me a good price and they answered all of the questions I had before pick up day. However, on pick up day I was given a window of 9-12, they give you a convenient tracker so you can see which job you are on the team's schedule and which job they are currently on. When it hit around 12:30 and the tracker said they were still at the job before mine, I called the customer service line to see if I could get a more accurate ETA. The customer service rep was able to call the team I was told they should arrive by 1, they did not arrive until about 1:50. As the crew worked to catalog my belonging I was sent a link that would allow me to see how much space my items were taking up in my predetermined size unit, the process to catalog is done by the lead and the lead seemed to be moving very slowly and I later found out had categorized many of my items incorrectly causing the system to show that I would need a large unit than predicted, which meant that I had to pay more than I had budgeted to pay when they were finished. Due to the length of time it took for him to catalog my belongings they did not start moving things onto their truck until around 5, which I know to be their cut off time, however, the lead did not say anything about their cut off time and needing to leave until around 650/7. Around this time the lead located me to tell me that they needed to leave because their boss had been calling and telling him that they needed to return to the shop, when I asked what all was left to take he told me the only thing left was a box, which as you could probably understand confused me, my mother who was with me asked the lead why he couldn't just take the box if that was all that was left, to which he replied that he would have to log and document it. I informed the lead that we no longer live in the house or in the area and that no one would be at the house the next day for them to send another crew for this ONE box. The lead said that he would take the box but did a very loud huff/sigh as he walked out of the room. Throughout this experience, I was grateful to have Anthony I and Genesis M to make the experience smoother. When I became concerned about the amount of space my items were supposedly taking up, Genesis took the time to hear my concerns instead of talking over me like their lead did and helped explain my needs to the lead. Anthony helped to reassure me that my belonging were in good hands while he prepared them for the truck and took the time to ensure that all of my items were packaged in the best way they could be to ensure their safety, for example he took the time to figure out how to take my glass dining table into 2 pieces, which would ensure it wouldn't break, when their lead had only looked at it for 2 seconds and had decided it couldn't be taken in 2 pieces so he would just take it in one whole piece even though my mother had attempted to explain to him that it could be but that she simply could not remember how. Overall I having Clutter come to my home to help me with the process of storing my belongings was a stress reliever, Anthony I and Genesis M were amazing and helped to ease my mind and made the process less of a headache, however I docked them a star due to the fact that they were late (I'm sure it was out of some of their hands but it was still very inconvenient), the fact that the way the lead Addis approached some of the processes was very slow, and the attitude my mother and I felt we received from Addis. read more

My first review of clutter was for the first two movers who came to take a few boxes and a couple items of furniture, they were kind and wonderful.  It was my experience with them that made me think that it was wise to trust my belongings to Clutter again. Unfortunately every experience with them since has proved otherwise.  1. I was charged an exorbitant amount for what they said was a 12 hour move and four movers. In reality, it was one mover as two had left to go to another job and one of the remaining two sat in the truck talking to his girlfriend.  2. A bit later I went through the process to request a few of my possessions back but because the movers had only taken pictures of the outside of the boxes instead of the items inside I was forced to request many more boxes to be returned to me than what I actually wanted in order to find the possessions I wanted. THEN I was charged for Clutter to re-store the incorrect boxes, (even though the entire situation was their fault for not taking the pictures correctly in the first place.  3.  Of the boxes I received back, I was horrified to see my possessions thrown in haphazardly. Glass next to stone, glue next to legal documents, small business advertisements & information thrown in and damaged beyond use. many of them were damaged or destroyed, broken bowls & glasses, damaged furniture, the list goes on and on... When I contacted the claims department they told me to attach pictures to the online claims form and select the damaged intems from my "online inventory." However, as I explained above and to them, I couldn't because the movers had just taken pictures of the outside of boxes and the claims form only allows 1 picture attachment - where I had, (and have) many.  I have been going back and forth with Clutter now for quite some time with them wanting me to pay them and my wanting to go through my posessions one by one with a claims specialist. How do I know how much other damage has been done to my possessions? Another item to note, is the excessive turn over rate I've been witness to during all this back and forth with them. Everytime I call to speak with the claims dept the person I worked with last is no longer there. Their advertising sounds great, but don't buy it. Ask how much it will cost to get a single box returned to you, like if you want to go snow-shoeing.  Just my 2c. read more

Clutter is negligent, dishonest, irresponsible, and underinsured. They lied about their prices on the phone when I booked their services, wouldn't sent an email confirmation with any information until the night before the move, even though I asked repeatedly in three different phone conversations. When the movers showed up that day, the company doubled their price. They said they were fully insured. They are not. They have a policy that only pays out $1 per pound. So, after causing almost $6,000 worth of damage, they offered us around $1,000 to cover it. The damage was caused because their movers didn't wrap furniture, dragged our belongings across the ground (including a suede love seat on it's side!), didn't load the trucks properly so things toppled over, and boxes were turned upside down and emptied. Paintings were ripped, dressers broken, bike gears damaged, furniture scratched and some of it so damaged it's not even functional anymore. They also charged us for movers who weren't working and trainees, and even people who weren't physically present! They didn't complete the move in a full day (it was only a 2 bedroom townhouse). So, we had to sleep in a hotel that night, while they held our belongings hostage in their warehouse, but charged my card $1,600. This also meant we needed to take an extra day off of work for them to finish unloading our belongings the next day. We can't properly unpack because so many drawers and shelves are damaged, and now need to deal with getting rid of our damaged useless furniture and replace it. I think the worst thing, besides the bait and switch on the last day of the month in the summer when we can't find other movers and need to vacate our rental, is that we trusted them with our belongings, and they treated them with utter negligence and disrespect from how they moved them, to how they are paying for the damage. Besides the $6,000 in damage, and roughly $600 in overcharges, Clutter also cost us a night in a hotel, missing work, the time and energy to email repeatedly with them, document damage, look up replacement costs, get rid of items they've damaged, which means either more movers or a truck rental and a day moving cherished belongings to the dump, and then shopping for and transporting and rebuilding replacement items. read more

Oh, how I so much wanted to love Clutter. In fact, I did and wrote glowing reviews of them when we first connected. Awesome service. Photograph, inventory and post your belongings online so you could visually access them at all times? Awesome. Pick up stuff and deliver to wherever? Awesome. But here is where things go south. And why the 1 or zero-star review. No matter what they tell you, pick up and delivery is all but uncertain. Yeah, you can make an appointment to pick up your stuff and that part is all good. But what they don't tell you is if you want your stuff to be returned to storage or delivered elsewhere, in order to keep your account active you have to continue to store at least one box. This nugget of info is not written anywhere. And if, say you are an annual event and need your stuff picked up from storage, delivered to your site, then picked up and returned to storage? Forget it. It will not happen. Let's say, as in our case, stuff has to be collected from Clutter, delivered to a location at a specific time, and then recollected at a specific time and brought back to storage. All the promises Clutter made were totally, absolutely, completely false. They lie. Good price for monthly storage but if you ever want to see your stuff again forget about it. If you think you've made an iron-clad agreement with Clutter forget about it. They lie. If you are simply storing stuff because you've moved into an apartment, better figure on scheduling a move out appointment at least a month in advance. If you are a business, do not even think for a minute that this business will work with you with any flexibility. They will promise it but will not deliver it. Their dishonesty and inflexibility cost our company hundreds of dollars and a huge amount of stress. Stay away. read more

Clutter has been a great company to work with. Fowsiya and Noah arrived on time and were great with packing up what I hadn't gotten to yet in preparation for a home remodel. I was impressed with how carefully they wrapped the furniture, and listened to my special requests for an antique side table. Months later an excellent team of three returned my office furniture and computer, and happily put everything exactly where I needed it. Another month later another terrific team of two brought back boxes, dresser and bookshelves, even putting felt pads under those so they' be easy for me to move around. I wish I had taken note of all their names because they were all super careful navigating my narrow hallways, and safeguarding my brand new floors, and each one is worthy of high praise and recommendation. The second team leader even told me to be sure to call Clutter to downgrade my storage plan because based on what they'd brought back, he said I didn't need to be charged for the larger space any longer. Today Bakari and Lavon arrived at about the middle of the delivery window after already completing two other returns that morning. They brought in more of my furniture and heavy boxes, and put everything right where I wanted it. As with all the other encounters with Clutter teams, Bakari and Lavon were super careful with everything, worked quickly, and were done in no time, with no complaints about how far they had to go from parking to door -- and I complain just going for the mail! Lavon has actually been with my two other delivery teams and I was impressed with the things he remembered. This couldn't have been a better experience -- well, maybe if home baked chocolate chip cookies were part of the service! LOL read more

If you are in need of a highly professional moving and storage company who prides itself on servicing its customers then look no further... I recently moved and needed to hire a truck, movers, and a place to store my entire home contents, but as you know moving is extremely challenging for large home moves when you are by yourself. I wanted to find a "1 Stop Shop" for everything I needed. I found Clutter online and went to their website immediately. There I found that I could register, pick my move date and time easily, professionally and as I was completing my move request online I realized that Clutter provides the right size truck, the right size team, free boxes, free packing and transport to their facility to then unload, asset tag, photograph my belongings so I could then track where each of my items were at all times. The day of my move was so smooth, starting with the arrival of the team, team spirit, organization, supporting me with extra requests and so I had to tell anyone/everyone how fortunate I was to have found this wonderful company. I have moved over 17 times over several decades and never had such a great experience while planning, and executing a move. Usually I have to call several companies to do everything Clutter can do all in registering my account and choosing my options online. I used Clutter a couple weeks ago for my move. They arrived right at the end of the two-hour window, but still within the window. They had 4 guys for a job, which I feel only needed 2, but they did only charge me for 3 so at least that was good. I had Christopher P, Lavon, Ralph and Kainon helping me that day. I was grateful that they took only as much time as they needed. I don't have a lot of stuff, but I was impressed that it was all packed up and ready to go in an hour. You should know that they do charge a separate fee for drive-time (about double for labor time). The drive time they quoted me on was around the same time it took me to drive from my old place to my new one, so they were definitely being fair. When I got to my new apartment, my landlord was not ready to do a walk-through yet, so I had to no choice but to sit there while the clock was running. To my pleasant surprise, Christopher did not charge me for the time they had to wait for my landlord to finish the walkthrough of my apartment, even though they were fully within their right to just run the clock. Christopher also let me know that he was going to give his crew a break, but he stopped the clock when he did. I verified this when he broke down the labor costs for me when I signed for the bill at the end. Just as they were when they packed up, Christopher and his crew unpacked my stuff very quickly. I was very impressed by the friendliness, professionalism and courtesy Christopher, Ralph, Lavon, and Kainon showed me. Would recommend Clutter for anyone's move. read more

The 3 teams that showed up to get the job done were awesome! and went above and beyond. The issue I have had is with customer service! My experience with that part of the process was and is a complete nightmare! I scheduled my pickup and storage size was given a quote to then have the representative accidentally remove/delete my inventory list which then created wrong pricing to not enough staff to do the job! More details that I have left out. I'm now paying $135 more than I was originally quoted for the same items I gave at the time of my first quote! I was also treated rudely by customer service and they deleted my inventory list and was told by the cs rep she put all my info back into the system entirely, which was not the case and I asked for updated confirmation that everything was correct and was told she was not able to send updated info but not to worry everything will be fine. It was absolutely insane! This caused staffing issues to making the move out take 2 full days and into a third day to at the end of all the bullshit to pay $135 more than my original quote for the same inventory list. This company really needs to fix these issues if there going to survive long term. I have worked in the customer field for over 18 years and had a team of 20 and taught my teams how important it is to treat the customer how you would like to be treated and to make sure you check your work to make sure everything is accurate. Wanted to take the time out and say a very Big Thank you to a young lady by the name of Yvonne. She works in the warehouse in Des Moines. I met her by chance in Safeway line while i was talking to another individual about having to put my 93 year old mother in a nursing home. Not to mention a house full of memories 70 years of things that means alot to myself and my siblings. None of us had the time to deal with it. It was hard enough having to put my mother into a nursing home. Yes what a wonderful young lady with so much energy and positive attitude about Clutter and her job. She assured myself and my wife that clutter would take care of all of our needs concerning the packing of our things. The most important question to myself and my wife was, what happens to our things after the truck leaves?? She explained everything with such positive things from A to Z. It made us feel at ease. So we called Clutter for my mom. And everything went well.. I have read alot of reviews. Which 99 percent are for the movers and drives. None for the people behind the scenes like Yvonne and her team mates. If it wasnt for her taking the time out and introducing herself and your company i honestly feel as though my family and I would be in the same position. Clutter was great! Setting up the appointment was easy. I did a full apartment move-out for my one bedroom and signed up for a few months of storage. Because of some of the less than stellar reviews on storing stuff, I was pretty careful in packing up my belongings. I wrapped all of my furniture before they arrived too. I was given 8 hours of complimentary labor because of my storage agreement. Clutter was on time, toward the end of the two-hour arrival window. They showed up with two rental trucks, which were difficult to park on my narrow street. They also sent a third mover, though I recall only asking for two. Immediately, they commented that I was probably one of their most prepared moves and said it would be swift. They even said two additional movers were on on their way free of charge. They were friendly, but the organization could be a bit better. We went over the 8 hours of total labor by a fraction of an hour, which kind of surprised me. However, all the photo taking does take time, and they had to disassemble my bed. Within about three hours they had loaded about 10x10 worth of furniture and boxes into the truck. Several days later and all my stuff is still in processing, but I'm eager to see how things turn out when I pick up my belongings in a few months. Elijah, Jamal, Andyn and Victor were all great. We used Clutter for our recent in town move. It was referred to me by a friend and it sounded too good to be true. But when I called and spoke to customer service, he confirmed everything. We ended up using their storage service and spreading out our move. I scheduled our first pick up appointment and planned to send things we didn't really need right away. For our first pick up, we had Kassady and Uriel. We had started packing but they were able to pack up a bunch of stuff quickly. They spent about 5 hours and got a ton of stuff ready to go. We then scheduled another pick up closer to our moving date for the other items we could do without for a week. On that visit, we had Kevin, Genesis and Nikole. That visit went much faster and they had the majority of our remaining stuff packed and loaded in a hour or so. After our move, we were able to schedule a drop off the first week end. Justice and Keenan did the drop off and unloaded all of our things within an hour. Overall, everyone we met was great to work with, super friendly and efficient. We would 100% use them again and recommend them to everyone. One bit of advice is to ask all the questions you can think of to make sure you understand all the details- because I believe every circumstance has a different cost/plan/rate, etc. Overall, highly recommend! read more

Absolutely blown away! Hands down best decision I could have made for moving and storage. First of all the fact that they come and pack and move everything to the storage facility is A HUGE lifesaver. Cuts out hiring another moving company or struggling to do it yourself. And all of their rates for moving and storage are incomparable to other places!! Such a good deal for the amazing service you get. Today I had three of the loveliest gentlemen, Abdul, Richard, and DeMonte come to pack and move my things. I had quite a bit of stuff and wanted to try to keep within a certain storage unit size to not go over budget and these three men worked so hard to maximize every inch of space!! Abdul was like a Tetris king stacking and fitting everything way up to the ceiling! I was sure that not everything I wanted was going to fit but they got everything in there!!!! All three of them were professional, diligent, personable, kind, and just fun to chat with! I throughly enjoyed my experience and would HIGHLY recommend Clutter to anyone even considering moving and storage. I don't know what I would've done without clutter I don't even want to think about it I have scheduled for pick up between 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. they had arrived promptly at 11:00 a.m. I didn't have time to pack everything, actually like 50% or more were not packed, so they helped me pack, after everything it took 6+ hours to finish but didn't charge me more! Julius and Cassie? were very personable and friendly, I first wanted to stop at 5×10ft and when it went over, they fished the boxes out, but when I called customer service ( I thought rates would significantly increase since I got initial pricing by submitting 'price match' where they will match any price as long as the first 3 numbers of zipcode will match, unbelievable deal!!! Since it is a full service storage.) I learned that one step up in storage size were very reasonable price to my initial price and decided to increase and Julius and Cassie moved back those fished out boxes without any inkling of irritation (which wouldve been totally understandable since it was a BIG job! ) they brought boxes, hauled boxes, creatively packed so it was consuming less space and number of boxes needed, and very strong. I used their services last year for temporary storage and moving to a new apartment. They arrived on time for both pick-up and return and were efficient in helping me with packing. As an international student who knew nothing about moving by then their warm and professional services were a big help to me. At one point I was very upset about a specific incidence: my then new apartment turned out not to be big enough to hold all the furniture. A customer service person suggested I could donate some pieces of furniture and so I did for $100. Because of some administrative issues or maybe my own mistake only one piece of the furniture was donated. The rest was still in storage, and therefore my account remained open and I was charged monthly for almost a year. I found out what happened yesterday. Today the manager and customer service reached out to me after hearing my complaints. They refunded the charges between last October and now. I am super impressed by how efficient, considerate and helpful they are in handling the issues. Clutter was awesome from start to finish. We used them for a straightforward, A - B move, and the customer service was impeccable from the booking process through to the payment process! Mo made booking a breeze, gave us an accurate quote--and to make things even better, you can reserve your date/time slot in advance and cancel up to 48 hours before your move if necessary! Not a lot of companies allow for that flexibility and it was greatly appreciated. The guys that ran our move were equally as impressive-- Dallas was the lead mover and did a great job explaining the charges and time tracking. Clutter does a stellar job of keeping things as straightforward as possible with no hidden fees or scary add-ons. Both Ralph and Sadiqi were with him to help move our apartment and all three of them were fantastic! Quick, efficient, and polite! Our stuff made it over without a scratch or any issues. Dallas made sure we were aware of a promotion happening at the time and helped facilitate a call with Customer Care to be sure we were charged correctly. I used clutter for the first time this weekend. What sold me on the clutter was the fact that they take picture inventory of all the things they pack and put into storage for you as well as the choose your own adventure service offerings. I initially chose the closet storage unit but as we begin packing and choosing which items to put into storage we quickly upgrade to the garage. It's going to be really helpful to look through the picture inventory and have the specific items we need at that time delivered to our new location. Troy and Bobby were the ones who came to our home and packing and moving. They were friendly and personable and did a great job. My wife and I used to clutter as an initial test to see how we like it. We will be having them come back this week to do some more work and bring more items to our storage space. We like the fact that Connor has a presence nationwide and utilizes technology like the website chat, picture inventory, and the app to confirm the work has been done. I do wish the storage unit they use was a little closer to the east side but I don't think this is really a big deal. Otherwise, keep up the good work! read more

These guys were awesome! Came earlier than the appointment time (7am) and were quick to load everything up. Took 3.5 hours which would've been a lot longer had we had to do it ourselves. Provided boxes for things that we couldn't box in time and the fact they store all of our stuff saves us the headache of figuring out where to put our things before our new unit is ready. Friendly, informative, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend to anyone to save on the stresses of moving. Great guys! Update: We are staggering our stuff being delivered so will have many interactions with the Clutter staff. Today we had Brian and Jescome by with some things and they did awesome. Carrying things up 3 flights of stairs in the amount of time they did, such a great service. Thanks again! Final update: Last shipment of our stuff came this weekend, this time with Fau, Diontaa, and Krishna. All did an amazing job getting our very heavy stuff up. I will never move on my own again! The service leading up to the appt. Was standard and streamlined, but the day of my appointment almost felt too good to be true. I kept thinking there must be a catch to the service for the price advertised. I live on the 4th floor, 5 flights of stairs with a spiral staircase, I was DREADING moving! To add it was torrential downpour! I got a text right before arrival "Dallas & Billy have arrived". The service came with 5 free hours of moving and I thought, surely this would end in overage charges and hidden fees. The two of them unloaded my whole 2 bedroom townhome in 3 hours, this would've taken me days! No additional charges just the original quoted prices on the phone. The movers were on time, communicative, came with all of the supplies needed & just the coolest guys! They were so efficient & personable. I felt super comfortable the whole time and kept trying to help but they had it covered so I had to do nothing.
