Every phone call I made to them with a question and concern was handled quickly, professionally and with kindness and concern. This is VERY noticeable and sincerely appreciated. Now for the packing team... we had three young guys come out ROBERT, ERIC and OSCAR. They were so respectful, well trained, courteous and there to get the job done! They took amazing care while packing and moving and kept us aware of every step as they proceeded with the packing and moving. Clutter made it very easy to store my extra stuff without having to go through the old school system of finding a facility, packing up, renting a truck and personally having to handle the move (or beg family and friends for help). I like the cataloging and ability to have certain items delivered when I'm ready for it without having to make a trip and haul stuff myself. It might be a bit more costly than the traditional but if you factor in truck rental and the time factor of multiple trips to and from the unit, it's worth it. read more

I was pretty well prepared for my 1 bed/1bath move to a new apartment within 10 min but somehow this team took 3+ hours to pack all of my prepared items meaning I would definitely have to pay overtime. I have moved over 6 times and never had it take this long (even across country!). The timing wasn't as much of a bother ultimately but then when unpacking we realized the team had mishandled and broken several items, one being a nearly new TV worth hundreds of dollars. I contacted the support team which can't help over the phone (minimal to no human interaction at this company) and they only gave my $47 back for this completely damaged, now unusable television. I began using MakeSpace in September 2021. I signed up because it was a really user friendly convenient service, and the employee I worked with was incredibly helpful and responsive. Fast forward to June 2022, and MakeSpace is now Clutter I was informed via one singular email about my changeover. I was never called or contacted to ensure I knew, and no one from the team communicated their appreciation of me as a customer as they transitioned. The price was raised, but I didn't complain because I felt I didn't have other options. In June 2022, I called to see if it would be possible to move my things remotely to a van service which would ship across the country. I was told this was absolutely possible, and I was reassured this would be a simple process. On July 3 I was sent an email explaining the methods I could use to get my items out of storage and across the country. On July 21 when I called I was told two things: 1. The ability for my hired van service to access the clutter unit where my items were held was no longer possible, after being told it was on July 3. I was not informed of the change in policy before I had to call repeatedly. 2. I was also told that the flat $59 fee for the second part of my move had now been exponentially increased. The employee told me that, because I called on July 21 and I was sent the email informing me of the policy change on June 21, he would make a note that I could be grandfathered into the original fee. THIS WAS NOT TRUE. I was forced to hundreds of dollars for something I signed a contract based on it being $59. I was later told, after calling repeatedly, that someone had to be there in person. It took me weeks to get a hold of someone from the team, and no clutter employee called me back for weeks. After remaining a loyal, compliant customer for a year this treatment felt insane to me. I then had to pay a third party to meet the clutter team in person, despite being previously that this wouldn't be necessary. I was told over the phone that a clutter employee had reserved a date for my move. I booked van moving services based on this information. THIS WAS ALSO NOT TRUE. I had to reschedule my van lines, costing time and money. I had to open another storage unit with another company because Clutter said my van moving company could no longer enter their facility. Alliance Van Lines, the company I used, said this was not their first problem with Clutter. 2 days before my move, I was told that the team wouldn't even touch my new storage unit keys, forcing the person I hired to hold onto the keys and return to the unit a second time. I am a student, who doesn't have money to throw at situations to make them easier. Clutter knew this and continued to take advantage of their customer. I was deceived, spoken down to, lied to, patronized, and disrespected by Clutter. This is by far the worst experience I have had with any moving/storage company. They were not understanding or flexible, useful or helpful. I was forced to bend over backwards to accommodate their policies which were every changing. I signed a contract with MakeSpace. I would like to receive compensation for what I was put through by this company. This is despicable behavior and this company should know what they have done to a customer. UPDATE: After filing a claim to get a refund on some of the fees I was charged by Clutter that were outside of my original contract, I was told I could get $70 back. I've spent THOUSANDS of dollars on services from this company, and after filing an organized and detailed claim this was their response. What a slap in the face from a company that proves that they have never, and will never, care about their customer. read more

BUYER BEWARE: DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE These guys suck!!! I scheduled an appointment for $1k to get my items moved and stored until my new place was ready to go. Was also in a very tight, stressful timeframe. They had the wrong phone number (via typo, I'll take responsibility for that), so instead of emailing me or knocking on my door to get ahold of me, they emailed me a cancellation fee of $200! The way their appointments work is that they will show up within a 3 hour window and call you when they arrive. I called their customer service for 40 minutes (still in the 3 hour window) and they said the operators couldn't come to take my stuff, I asked to speak to someone higher up and they never called me back. I also tried to chat with them and they straight ghosted me. Another funny tidbit: the only way I could find a phone number was through Yelp. And after the first time I called asking for help, the option to reach a representative was gone. If this is the way they treat a customer that was giving them $1k of revenue to move and store in a 10' x 10' unit, then they don't deserve anyone's business. read more

Clutter looked like a great company to hire for my move. I thought I would get professional timely service because they looked put together on line. I couldn't of been more wrong it has been a complete nightmare from the very beginning. They gave me on quote based on the special they have listed on line. Then I was told that they don't even give one month of free storage to anyone even though it's clearly listed on the front page of the website. I was charged double the price I was originally quoted. The workers took in a certainly long time deconstructing furniture that should not be deconstructed. They left horrible messes in my bathroom with feces and toilet paper that I had to clean up and getting my items delivered from storage has been a complete nightmare to date I still haven't received my items they made me jump through all kinds of crazy hoops to schedule an appointment and then never showed up for the appointment. They continue to make me jump through hoops and have made it impossible for me to collect my items that I am in death Rita. When you try to call customer service is very passive and put you on the phone with one person passes you onto another another who never really resolves your item does not acknowledge your complaint and doesn't really seem to care of it they are dealing with peoples stuff we work hard for them we need. Let me start by saying when I first signed up the prices were completed different. Only a monthly fee...free to get my stuff. NOW its $9 per item PLUS truck fee $29 or more, $100 cancelation fee which is absurd! And $45 if you need to see inside any of your boxes! They NEVER even notified me of the changes which should have been done to give me the option to get some stuff our or cancel with them....But i wasn't so now I have to pay $9 per item just to get some of your own stuff back!!! When I had my stuff delivered to my home over a year ago, there was a LOT of things that were damaged, only refunded by weight not what the item is worth so I lost a LOT of money! Some stuff had to be thrown away because of the severe damage. The customer service was not good either and its even worse now, very uniform saying the same thing over and over. You need to understand that they charge you almost $300.00 just to close out your account regardless of how much stuff you have in storage. So the initial free pick up is a great incentive, but they make this money back in the end. Some of my items were returned broken. There is a long, drawn out process to file a complaint, compensation for broken items, and/or to fix a billing mistake on their end. When they need to charge you for something though, this is instantaneous of course. I would not recommend this company to my friends or family. read more

They also pack your stuff up, take it to their secured storage facility and if you need something you do t have to go to your unit, they will bring it to you for a very small and reasonable price $9 per item.
