Club Studio is my favorite gym! I've been going to Club Studio for almost a year and I am very excited that it opened nearby. First the gym is always clean and the staff is very friendly. The gym is located inside a plaza so parking is not a problem. This gym offers a wide range of classes and a fully stocked weight room. The gym also has separate saunas for men and women. There is a smoothie and snacks cafe inside. The classes they offer include Hot Pilates, Reformer Pilates, various forms of Yoga, CS4 (boot camp), Boxing, Cycling, and Rebound. I've taken all their classes with several coaches, and I now have my favorite coaches. Ilze, Morgan, Alex, and Lo are top-tier for hot pilates and yoga; Alex and Adriana shine in cycling, Amy's unmatched in Reformer, Morgan and Lauren excel in CS4, and Sebastian brings it for Rebound and boxing. Overall, I am delighted with this gym, and I see myself staying for the long run. It has everything I need, and the instructors are top-tier. read more

I've been coming to Club Studio since they opened in November and I still really enjoy going! It's kind of addicting and necessary for my mental health! I'm also happy they've added Friday afternoon classes which is something I've wished for since opening. According to the app, as of today, I've taken 78 classes since opening. I enjoy CS4 (circuit training), boxing, reformer Pilates, yoga and rebound. It's great that the gym continues to add more classes as membership grows. I even upgraded to add the recovery with red-light therapy, compression therapy, cryo-chair and hydro-massage. I don't feel as stiff since I'm doing more stretching during yoga and this is something I was missing when I was doing solely Orangetheory. I didn't add the cryotherapy chamber as it was quite a bit more but I see people using it and have good things to say about it. Thankful the gym is listening to our requests like adding Friday afternoon classes. So far I'm a satisfied member of this gym! read more

I've been a member since before this gym even opened. I joined because it was marketed as a premium, high-end fitness club, and I pay a premium membership expecting that level of quality. Unfortunately, the experience is far from it. I've seen cockroaches in the locker room and near the hot Pilates studio. That's simply unacceptable for any gym, let alone one charging luxury prices. To make matters worse, the sharps container regularly has used needles sticking out which is a serious safety concern. The cleanliness throughout the facility has gone downhill. The showers are frequently dirty, and the overall upkeep doesn't reflect what members are paying for. The heat in the hot Pilates room is regularly broken and the air conditioning and fans in other studios often don't work making classes uncomfortable and inconsistent. Management has been horrible since opening. Hoping to see some change with new management. read more

The only reason I go to this gym is for their ride and cs4. They moved the ride class on Tuesdays from 6:15pm to 5:45pm - which I can't make it to due to work. This gym caters to retirees and not people working 9-5pm. They have classes as early as 6am and the latest is 6:30pm. So people coming from San Francisco, good luck trying to get a class in. Popular classes gets filled quickly. $190 a month for membership with access to all classes, the cryotherapy & red light is another ~$150. $160 per month thru Wellhub (work perk). The management was very dismissive and condescending when I told them that it's very disappointing when they change times without notice and they do not offer more classes in the evening. I will be looking for another gym. read more

I've been doing Lagree for over a year at a different studio, when I tried Hot Pilates with their instructor Nia I immediately changed studios. Now after a few reformer classes with different instructors trying to find one that was a little more challenging as the others were more like a stretch I took a class with Olivia and that was THE BEST CLASS EVER very close to how lagree feels and challenging enough to get some shakes. I've been going to Club Studio for almost a year, and I absolutely love their Reform class. I usually take Amy's class every week, and she's truly a gem! Her sessions are always challenging in the best way -- exactly what I need to stay on track with my fitness goals. I've seen so much improvement in my fitness goals thanks to Amy. Every week, I feel myself getting stronger, more confident, and more motivated to push harder. Even with more than 20 people in the room, Amy always finds time to correct everyone's form, which makes such a difference. She not only gives clear instructions but also demonstrates each move herself, making it easy to follow along and stay motivated. I always get an incredible workout in her class, and I even plan my schedule around her teaching times. Her classes fill up fast, and for good reason! I love it here! The gym equipment is new and almost always in working order. There is a wide array of exercise equipment to use that I haven't seen as widely available at other gyms. The classes are a really great way to get a good workout in without having to plan it yourself. And taking classes over a long period of time absolutely will get you seeing positive results in your physical fitness. Reform Pilates has been my favorite so far. I can't say enough good things about Amy's class. She puts on the most challenging class by far, and I mean that in the best way. She is a gifted instructor and clearly knows what she is doing. she is able to push everyone in her classes to achieve their personal best and is there to provide personal instruction and correction as needed. Her attitude is inclusive and welcoming and she keeps you accountable for doing your best. The three stars go for the facility. Nice, spacious and clean. Really wanted to make this gym be my home gym but their inflexibility with medical freezes was so disappointing. I have two upcoming surgeries in a couple of months so signing up and then having to pay $50 monthly even though my leave is for legitimate medical reasons does not feel financially responsible in our current economic climate. Why would I sign up to pay $50/ monthly while I recover? Why not be given the option to freeze my membership without penalty? If I am not at all utilizing the facility, why would I need to pay $50/month? I got a tour from Rachel, the assistant manager, who was great and did a great job trying to work with me. She was friendly and kind. I was disappointed as even small privately owned studios have a no penalty fee for membership freezes due to medical reasons. read more

I'm OBSESSED with this gym!!! It's clean, new, and the staff is so nice and helpful. The classes are incredible!!! The instructors are very knowledgeable and I always get an AMAZING work out. I love the CS4 class which is a mixed of strength and a bit of cardio. It's always different workouts so you never get bored and they have lower body vs upper body focus on different days which is great. Im literally addicted! Next faves are hot Pilates (insanely good workout!!) & hot yoga which do in between days that I do CS4. I heard Yoga sculpt is a must try, so I can't wait to do it! There is a Pilates reform machine class which is more of a good stretch than breaking a big sweat , so I love to do those on my "rest" days. There are so many classes and class times and they are always adding more. (There is also boxing & spin!) Oh and also, I love the lighting in the rooms when you work out (blues, purple, reds), makes you feel comfortable - not like those blaring white lights like in other gym classes. The entire facility is so clean and new!! There is a semi closed off section for stretching. The locker rooms are big and clean. The sauna in the locker room is beautiful and has a large glowing pink-salt wall which is such a nice, relaxing touch. They have showers and Dyson blow dryers. I recently added on Recovery to my membership and I'm so so happy I did!! You get access to a separate section which has a cryochamber, red light therapy (two huge panels in a private room), massage chairs, compression leg/arm sleeves, and more! Maria (who is usually there when I come in) is so welcoming & sweet!! She encourages me to up my time in the cryo chamber which is a great challenge and I feel so good after! I love taking classes at gyms and Club Studio has so many options! My favorites are hot pilates, rebound, CS4 & ride. They also have yoga, boxing & pilates reform. Going on Saturday mornings it's great to see the bustle with members & classes. I haven't taken classes with all the coaches but big shout out to Alex, Lo & Sebastian! I don't take advantage of it often but they also have a full gym including a stretch area. I did add access to recovery onto my membership which is definitely worth it! I've been a dedicated member at Club Studio since it opened in November and have attended nearly every class, so I'm very familiar with how the classes and instructors operate. I've frequently seen trainers allow members to join a few minutes after class has started. On a few occasions when I've been late, I was told there was a five-minute grace period--which I completely understand and appreciate. However, today I arrived at the gym around 4:33 for the 4:30 class and was told by the front desk staff that I was too late. When I brought up the grace period, the manager informed me that no such policy exists--despite having been told otherwise by several staff members in the past. This inconsistency in policy is frustrating and starting to feel like favoritism. It's incredibly disappointing to pay a premium membership fee only to be met with a lack of flexibility and understanding. Many of us are coming from long workdays, juggling family responsibilities, and trying our best to prioritize our health. Being turned away over a few minutes--despite a history of different treatment--feels unfair. I hope the club will take this feedback seriously and consider implementing clearer, more consistent policies with a bit more empathy. Based on what I've heard, I'm not the only member experiencing this. Please do better. read more

I've been a member at number of Studios and was very thrilled to see this opening up closer to home. The Studio has a lot of potential, it's beautiful and a lot of the instructors are great. However, there is a huge opportunity when it comes to staff and protocols. The number one issue that has been consistent that I've seen is. I have walked to the door of classes at the exact time. The class starts and have been told three times that I was not allowed in. I have also sat in multiple classes, were teachers left the door open to allow more students to come in up to five minutes after the class has started. For a studio to be located in such a family centric location, I can imagine how many people are rushing from work or leaving their children to make it to these classes and it's completely unacceptable that there is zero consistency when it comes to their late policy. I even took a picture the other day of the door being open five minutes into class because it was absurd. They should either not let anybody in at all or have a grace period, whatever it may be, it needs to be consistent for every single member and for every class. The other disappointing issue is 50% of the time I walk by the café , there's rarely any staff. Multiple times I have ordered drinks while working out just to come and find that they're close at a random time when they should be open with no sign and front desk has no idea when they'll be back or if they'll be in at all. Again, The Studio has a lot of potential, but these are things that should not be issues, especially when members are paying a hefty price with plenty of options for other Studios or gyms. read more

Love this gym and the friends that I've made in it. Front desk is always so friendly, Maria in Recovery is amazing, equipment and space is perpetually clean. Just wanted to give major kudos to my favorite instructors that keep me in check every week. They really deserve the world: For Reform, I seriously can't say enough good things about Amy. Hands down, my favorite low impact instructor. I go everyday she's there and she kicks my butt every time, lol. Every class is the perfect mix of challenging and fun, her cues are spot-on, she keeps an eye on everyone's form, and she always sneaks in that one move that makes you think, "oh, I'm definitely going to feel this tomorrow." Amy has an incredible ability to read the room -- knowing exactly when to push you a little harder and when to help you modify. I always leave class feeling stronger, taller, and more confident. Plus, her playlists? Always fire. Amy celebrates everyone's wins, no matter how small, and creates such a welcoming, positive vibe in every class. You can tell she truly cares about her clients and loves what she does. Her classes are full of regulars and book up quickly since she's the top notch, gold standard. If she was teaching more days, I'd probably end up at the gym more than I'm already there. If you've been thinking about trying a reform class, do yourself a favor and go to Amy's. She's an absolute rockstar! Keri coaches CS4 and is the perfect mix of motivating coach and hype woman. She knows when to push you (handing me 50lb KBs) and when to crack a joke to keep the vibe fun. Definitely make time for Keri's class - you'll leave sweaty, sore, and already planning your next one. Whether you're a total beginner or a seasoned regular, Reform with Lisa will make you feel like you belong. She's encouraging, super knowledgeable, and always keeps things fresh. She advances the moves more than changes the springs, which enables anyone to participate at their comfort level. I'd say her class is different than Amy's, more classical, which gives my schedule a little variety. The Bossu balls are not inflated to their proper size. Also every time there is a significant sporting event Warriors game or 9ers game they have some lame thing on the TV's. As a middle aged person who never worked out habitually and was a chronic Crunch gym joiner and quitter I decided to sign up for the full turbo membership with a trainer five days a week at this brand new gym (that I haven't quit). I've been going for three months and I haven't quit to say, I can't see me quitting in the near future. The staff is very positive, motivational and friendly and the layout is very conducive for a person that doesn't like to be working out in a sceney gym floor feeling judged or on display. Lots of places to tuck away and lift and stretch etc. I feel super supported by trainer Marissa and she is a wealth of knowledge for my beginner self and really eased me into this entire lifestyle of "going to the gym" and calorie deficit eating etc. It's an expensive membership but if you are ready to prioritize yourself, I recommend her 100%. I can't speak on the classes because I've been very content with my results with daily training sessions. The recovery area is a great extra treat. Maria is always very helpful with all the gadgets to quell the barking dogs and aching muscles when Marissa adds a new set of weights to the routine. read more

While the gym looks nice and clean, it lacks the machines needed for a proper workout for legs compared to planet fitness which is only a 1/10th of the price. Almost 0 legs machine and only one squat rack in the entire gym while shet load of benching. It also has crazy bad hours and making it very inconvenient for a gym. For example, it is literally just a regular business and barely open during the last two weeks with just some working out hours. The gym is meant for 24/7 or at least 18/7, especially if it charges so much money! They always have like 3-4 people sitting in the front, which I find them very bad at allocating their resources. Make the membership cheaper or extend your hours and just hire 1-2 people man. The weekend hours are horrible! Oh and if you don't show up to classes or am late, you get charged money but they don't realize that not everyone works in walnut creek or live in walnut creek... Bay area traffic bruh and your class starts at 6pm... Their buddy system is also horrible - what you mean you can't guest people in unless you have the higher tier membership? I don't think I've ever written a negative review before, but this one felt absolutely necessary. I also usually don't take negative reviews to heart -- but as a professional, certified HR manager who creates policies for a living, the way Club Studio handled our cancellation process was deeply concerning. And after reading other negative reviews on here, I can confidently say: they are spot on. We submitted our cancellation nearly five full business days before the billing date (July 28), following Club Studio's own policy that states: "If notice is postmarked within 5 business days, you may be billed once more. If this occurs, we will refund that additional billing." Despite this, we were still charged (which at first didn't worry me so much since the policy states we would be refunded) but we had to chase down a refund through multiple emails, phone calls, and follow-ups. When we finally received confirmation, it only reflected one of our two memberships being canceled. When I reached out to regional manager Letty Meza, she framed the refund as a "one-time courtesy." That was offensive. It wasn't a favor -- it was Club Studio's obligation, plain and simple. We had every intention of using our paid-in-advance month through August 28. But after this exhausting experience, we didn't even feel comfortable returning to the gym. We also made four reasonable requests: 1. Full confirmation that both memberships were canceled 2. A refund for the improper charge 3. Compensation for the months the sauna was broken (often for a full week or more -- repeatedly) 4. Compensation for the remaining time we're no longer using Club Studio made zero effort to take responsibility or make things right. The sauna was the primary reason we joined and later canceled -- and it was down so frequently that it felt like false advertising. Meanwhile, we were being charged premium prices for broken amenities and incomplete service. Between the lack of transparency, the dismissive attitude, and the inaccessible cancellation process, this gym has a long way to go in terms of accountability and basic customer service. The one bright spot was Rachel -- she was always professional, helpful, and genuinely kind. I hope leadership takes a cue from her, because nothing else about this experience was acceptable. This gym has the potential to be one of the best in the Walnut Creek, Concord, and Pleasant Hill area. While the competition is strong with high-end gyms like Bay Club and Lifetime, as well as more budget-friendly options like 24 Hour Fitness and Crunch, this gym offers a unique appeal. Staff: The staff are consistently friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Classes: The inclusion of popular classes like Reform in the membership fee is a major plus, especially compared to other gyms where these classes often carry an extra cost. The Spin and CS4 (HIIT) classes are fantastic. And I could tell they were very careful when hiring their instructors. ALL OF THEM ARE GREAT! I'd love to see a wider selection of Spin classes! You would have to sign up for the classes in advance. While this would deter some people for any late cancellations and no shows they charge between $10 - $15 per person, the reserved spot system effectively prevents overcrowding and encourages accountability. Gym Floor: Super Clean! High end Weight training and cardio machines and free weights. There is this area when you have have your own stretching and workouts. Again.. Trendy and Chic. And has a HUGE mirror for you to monitor your form or if you like to post socials, def great for that. Amenities: The recovery and cryo area is a valuable amenity, although it does come at an additional cost. I personally enjoy utilizing this space for post-workout recovery and even some light work. Ambiance: The gym's aesthetic is modern and stylish, reminiscent of an ALO or Apple store. The clean and uncluttered environment is very appealing. Oh did I say they provide towels, have Dyson dryers and Juicebar. This may not be a pro for some people but for me this is a huge pro. They don't have a kids club or day care. So don't really see kids walking around or hanging out at the GYM. This is really a locations for people who want to have their "me" time. =) Areas for Improvement: -- The website mentions "Spa Amenities," leading me to expect a sauna, steam room, and jacuzzi. Currently, only a sauna is available. These amenities are typically considered standard in luxury gyms and their absence is a noticeable drawback. I sincerely hope the gym considers adding these features in the future, as it would truly elevate the overall experience. Joanna signed me up and really gave me some time to try out the space and answer all the questions I have. Honestly if it was not for her, I would not have signed up due to the limited amenities. But her customer service are great! I really hope they expand the Amenities to keep all their locations constistent. I'd still give this place a 10/10 regardless. I switched to this gym a little under a year ago and it was a great choice. Its so nice and clean and the staff is great. However, one aspect that deserves recognition is the Reform classes with Amy. Her classes are always so fun, yet challenging and rewarding. She is always looking out for everyone to do their best and to do the workout properly with her fun, personable humor. The class feels more like a group of friends working out which makes it extremely easy to get to the gym on "those days" lol. All in all, a great place to get your workout, but hats off to Amy. Even if you have not done a reform class, Amy will not disappoint and you will want to continue taking her classes. Amy, Lisa, and Rosalyn are my absolute favorites -- they have such great energy and always find a way to push you while still paying attention to your level. I was referred to this gym by a friend and given a guest pass. I came in for the day, took a Pilates class, and met with someone named Rachel. Upon entering, the front desk staff didn't seem welcoming -- they were all on their phones, and I had to get their attention to check in. Rachel was helpful and friendly at first. She walked me to the locker area, helped me get set up, and took me to the class. She told me she'd meet me after class to give me a tour of the gym, but unfortunately, she never showed. When I went back to the front desk for Rachel, one of the staff members rolled her eyes and said, "Okay, I'll try and find her," as if I was inconveniencing her. This interaction, combined with the lack of warmth from the staff overall, left a bad impression. It's a shame, because the gym itself seems nice and well-equipped, but the unfriendly, unaccommodating service made me feel unwelcome -- especially as a potential new member. On top of that the weight floor is very new, they even have a stretch lab. I love how it's never crowed literally ever. I got a guest pass from a friend. My first class was Pilates on 2/19, be prepared to buy $15 grip socks. The lady that helped me was kind, she showed me the lockers and how to use it but after the class, she seemed to have impatience and somewhat of an attitude because I couldn't book another class (website issue) . I was a member at Club Studio for about 2 weeks until I got injured in a cycling class. While it's my fault for stumbling & getting injured when on the bike, the way I was treated made the entire experience significantly worse. After I was helped out of the room since I was unable to put any weight on my right leg, I was brought to the recovery center. The lady helping me was only there for the recovery center & did not know what to do. Her and the front desk girl ended up using one of the cryo air machines to pump cold air on my ankle & didn't understand how to properly handle this type of injury. After that, the lady started wrapping my ankle with compression tape...only the ankle part & in an improper fashion. I asked for the tape & wrapped my ankle myself. It was hard to tell if either of them had basic first aid training & the entire situation felt odd. The cycling instructor came out later and asked if I wore bike shoes, and mentioned that it would've helped me not get injured. That assumption is incorrect. The only way I was able to get to my car was by being wheeled on in an office chair since they had no other way for me to get to my car. And as I was being wheeled to my car, the front desk girl asked if that was my first cycling class. It was not, and I felt very insulted by the implied incompetence. I waited to calm down before calling the studio to speak with the manager about the situation. He always said he was about to call me but I doubt that he was ever going to reach out. He answered and in a run around way when I asked about the training that the staff had, he only spoke about CPR and AED training. When I mentioned that the RICE technique is not taught in CPR in AED then he added in that they also had first aid training. I highly doubt that. I'm fearful for others because there are free weights, reformers, and other machines where people can get severely injured. If there are no proper procedures seemingly in place or even the knowledge of where the first aid kit is, this gym is ill-equipped. When I tried to cancel my membership, and I asked for a refund because I was only able to use the gym for a short amount of time and had paid +$300, he said that he would have to escalate it. That is code for I will maybe do something, but won't. I tried to explaining my reasoning to him, and how the entire experience made me feel bad & I wasn't treated right. He turned it around on me and said that he personally never treated me badly or disrespected me. My experience with him does not mean that my experience the day I got injured is not valid. read more

I'm leaving this review to bring attention to an uncomfortable and unprofessional situation I experienced at this gym, especially in regard to locker room safety and staff conduct. After using the sauna, I put my personal items in a locker and went to shower. A janitorial staff member was nearby and appeared to be watching as I entered my locker code, which already made me uneasy. When I returned -- wearing only a towel -- I found my locker was jammed and wouldn't open. I asked the same staff member (who was still nearby) for help. She said she would assist but delayed for so long that another staff member eventually had to come and open it. Being left exposed and vulnerable in a public space while waiting for help was extremely uncomfortable. The staff's lack of urgency and awareness of the situation was disappointing and inappropriate. I strongly suggest that the gym ensures female staff are available in or near the women's locker room at all times. If a member is locked out of a locker without clothing, they deserve immediate assistance from someone who understands the sensitivity of the situation. Member privacy, safety, and comfort should be a top priority -- and in this case, I felt that was not respected. Until changes are made, I cannot recommend this location, particularly for women who expect a safe and respectful environment. read more

I really love the reform classes especially with Rosalyn, she's extremely helpful and kind. She emphasizes safety and continuously offers support and modification as she goes. What really stood out to me was how she explained the springs and gave adjustments for all bodies for each area, she also explained how moves should feel and how to adjust if something feels off, she incorporates it into her practice so shes Basically helping you trouble shoot without you having to flag her down which is perfect for someone like me who doesn't like interrupting class. read more

Been enjoying taking the classes at this club - mainly hot pilates, CS4, and reformer pilates. However, the cancellation policy for classes is a bit ridiculous. They require you to cancel 12 hours before class or be subjected to a "late" cancellation fee of $10 ... ($15 if you no show, which is more understandable). There have been times where emergencies have come up and I've had to cancel "last minute" (8 hours before) due to these issues. I talked to the front desk and a girl that was helping me said that they will try to see if they can give me a refund, but that I shouldn't expect too much since I cancelled "late" and it's "the principle" that matters. I guess next time I'll just show up to class even if I'm throwing up, since it's "the principle." I think this gym would do better and have happier members if they changed their cancellation policies to make it more feasible and fair. Emergencies happen. People get sick or injured and we can't predict that 12 hours before. Also, if someone on the waitlist takes your spot, then we shouldn't be charged since the spot is getting filled regardless (in my opinion). People showing up ON TIME or 1-2 minutes late should not be banned from getting into a class. For the amount of money that we pay for our membership, you would think they would be more accommodating. Additionally, some of the reformer pilates instructors are absolutely horrible. It actually makes me question what type of credentials or training they have to have to be hired as an instructor at this club. Some instructors are fantastic, some are OK, and then some are just downright unsafe. After taking classes for the past few months, I definitely know which ones to avoid. Overall though, I DO like coming here. I just wish the staff were more understanding and empathetic towards their paying members. I also hope going forward they'll either train or vet their instructors more before allowing them to teach so people don't get hurt. read more

I was blown away by this gym. I appreciate the combo of a well thought out gym floor plan with a weight room and functional fitness area plus a boutique style studio business with various classes. The front desk was welcoming and I appreciated the tour given by Keri. I think it's definitely worth the investment, health is wealth at the end of the day. I'll be looking out for the gym in the Peninsula/San Mateo County area in the future. read more
