This studio is great! The classes and all the instructors are amazing! I have been going to the studio for 2 months and I am loving it. The classes are challenging and they force me to slow down and take my time while working on the reformer, floor or chair. My workouts have always consisted of weight lifting, bootcamps, spin, Orangetheory and boxing. Adding Pilates to my routine has been amazing. My legs have gotten stronger and leaner and my balance has started to improved. The owner, Joan, is very friendly and gets to know all the members. i was very excited to join & start club pilates after doing much research on the classes, exercises and over all life style. i had a double mastectomy in march & i know i cannot go back to my heavy lifting / high intensity work outs i used to do, so i thought club pilates would be a good way to get my body back into the swing of things ! i came in & spoke to a very nice, down to earth gentlemen who was an instructor and he made me more happy about my decision to join the club. joan? joanne? then came to talk to me about the trial class, membership types - she asked what my schedule was and i said i was completely open. she then asked what i do for work & i said i am currently unemployed (because of surgeries / recovery) she then asked if i even had money to pay for the classes since i don't work... how nice of her. while inputting my information into the computer she also questioned if i knew if i was at the right club because my permanent mailing address wasn't in the area - yes, i know i'm in the right spot. i live 2 miles away, i just haven't changed my permanent address. after we set up my trail class and i was already on the fence about returning because of the interaction - i asked what do i need to bring besides grip socks? again .. i was condescendingly asked why i have grip socks if i never did pilates & i said because i did research and wanted to start asap so i purchased them. very unsure of it was because my over all appearance being covered head to toe in tattoos? but due to those snarky comments and questions i will not be returning and have started to look into other fitness clubs in the area. read more

One month in and I have really mixed feelings about this place. I understand that it's brand new... but there are certain things that I wanted to point out. Their class schedule is pretty limited on weekends, which is usually when I can take class. I wish they had earlier classes, and had different instructors on Saturdays (see below.) Check the schedule before committing! The classes are almost always full (~10 people) so you don't really get the attention you need on your posture and form. Plus, the instructors spend a lot of time just managing the class, so I never feel like I'm getting enough of a workout. Today I had my second class with Susana, and I really think she would be better off as a barre or mat pilates instructor. When I pay for reformer classes, I sign up to use the machine for at least 80-90% of the class, not less than half. Don't get me wrong, it's a great workout but this isn't really a reformer class. When I talked to her about this after class, she told me that all the classes are like this. I told her that none of the other instructors spend so much time off the reformer and she said coldly that maybe I should just go to the other classes then. Yup, I will never go to her class again because I don't appreciate instructors who are rude and don't take feedback from others. I'm committed for the next 3 months with their pre-open special, so I hope they can open up more classes on the weekends to reduce the overcrowding and have more variety in class levels/instructors. I had the opportunity to start Pilates Classes in late May 2022. I was leary at first having never done Pilates and being so tight with limited mobility and I have Stage IV Cancer but I was anxious to try because I had been a runner and worked out at a local gym but after diagnosis I did not have the endurance to run. So I gave it a go. I have to say that it has been such a wonderful experience. The Instructors are so helpful and encouraging. They immediately embraced me. I have met so many wonderful people at this Studio. After only a month not only has my mobility improved but there has been a noticeable improvement in my mood and state of being. Each Instructor brings a different flavor to class which makes it so much fun and never boring. Everyone is caring and give me so much support. I now am a member and try to go to as many classes as my schedule allows. I am grateful to be a part of this amazing studio! read more

I recently attempted to get a Pilates practice started with this club after recovering from breast cancer. I met the club manager at our town day and they said it would be a great therapeutic work out After an intro class, upselling me private lessons by telling me I was not flexible or strong enough to keep up with a Level 1 class I have been unsuccessful in getting all of my private sessions scheduled since Sept 12 They've only provided 2 since then and I was injured by the instructor at the first session I kept calling and emailing repeatedly and eventually had a gracious conversation with the owner about the challenges and she promised to resolve it A week later nothing. Then a rambling voicemail from the owner asking me to remind her what she was supposed to do. I then politely requested a refund. As of today. One week later I have no response This club is not well managed Go elsewhere! I did, currently back to circuit training 3x a week at Valley lifestyles in Mahwah. So I guess I'm strong enough read more

I can't say enough about how much I enjoy these classes. It's affordable and it is making a strong impact on my health in a really positive way. I've been doing it for about 3 weeks and the difference is visually noticeable but more than that is is a great motivater for good health. My only complaint is the class schedule. I wish they would add more classes early mornings. And I wish they would add some classes in the evenings. They clos too early on Saturdays. And an 8 PM class would be super helpful on weekdays and I'm sure many other members feel the same way. I'm combining it with beach body workouts and shakeology and 21 day fix. If you want to sign up, or have been considering a workout change, this is a fantastic choice to make. read more

I absolutely love this place! My mother signed up for the unlimited special and literally goes every day. She wanted to join so she could just work out in an environment that she felt comfortable and she absolutely LOVES this place. Over the holidays she asked me to join her and I had a great experience. We both love pilates reformer but it gets so expensive- especially by me in the city. We worked out 3 times together over the Christmas break and I felt wonderful! Watching my mom in the class is great too. You can tell she is learning her form and breathing correctly. The instructors walk around and help straighten or line you up so you are doing the exercise correctly. I have had only the best experiences at this club and everyone is SO nice- very refreshing. We will keep coming here to work out! I have also recommended to all my friends and their families as well! read more

If i could give less than 1 Star I would. Staff is unprofessional. They talk about members to other members. They don't give the right information for cancelling and they clearly don't communicate with each other when it comes to giving messages to the manager. read more

I'm new to pilates and I really like it, a great form of exercise as I find myself in the heart of middle age. This place is well designed, clean, and very friendly (though the clearly management mandated requirement of greeting people cheerily is just awkward -- but that may just be me). It's an environment that encourages friendliness/friendship with the people you work out with. And the scheduling app is really great. But I have some complaints. The ability of the instructors varies WIDELY. Some give lots of cues on position and breathing and keep an eye on everyone while others get on the reformer and do the workout while shouting out what you should be doing. And there's everything in between. Each instructor teaches differently - there's little consistency between instructors. Variety is great but there should be uniform fundamentals. Less experienced instructors don't seem to get supervision and I've left classes with a sore neck or sore lower back which to me should never happen from a quality pilates class. My other gripe is that classes rarely start on time and then either end on time, meaning my class was shortened, or end late to make up for the late start. I'm not talking about more than 5 minutes (usually) but to me when I arrive on time and then sit there waiting for class to start is aggravating and disrespectful. I work from home and frequently fit exercise into a tight schedule. But even if I didn't, why can't they start on time? Or, at the very least, hit a 50-minute timer when they do start class so we still get our full workout. I initially gave a score of 3 but changed it to 4 as I realize some of this is maybe more of a ME problem than a Club Pilates problem!! They do make an effort for sure. But as Pilates is getting more and more popular I'm worried that the quality of instructors will continue to be a problem. read more

I belong to Club Pilates in Florida and was visiting Ramsey last month and had an opportunity to take a few drop in classes at Club Pilates Ramsey. After communicating with Joan - I partnered up with 3 different instructors: Katie, Eric and Joclene. Each instructor was professional, highly qualified, provided clear guidelines and corrections for safe technique and offered me a great work out each time. I loved to learn from each of their unique perspectives and the variety of the classes offered. Pilates is a phenomenal workout - I am fortunate to have the unlimited membership and completed over 180 classes - with many different instructors - Thank you Joan and your team for letting me drop in and share your expertise. I started taking Pilates class at Club Pilates middle of last year and I've never felt stronger. If you have the opportunity to sign up, I highly recommend it - especially with Susana. Her classes are really the best. They make me want to come back all the time. She does a great job of keeping regulars interested by introducing new exercises but then also goes back to some of the same exercises so we get stronger and see our progress. I also think she personally cares about each of the people that take the class and wants to see us progress/get stronger - which helps to motivate me to come often. read more

Loving Club Pilates in Ramsey. Susana is one of the most incredible instructors. She makes class fun while pushing us to work hard. She is a lovely and caring instructor who gently corrects our form when needed. She changes up her classes with the use of different equipment and always makes the class challenging yet fun.
