Instructors are fine. No complaints about the quality of classes. That is, if you can get in since there is ALWAYS a wait list and you have to wait until less than 12 hours before to see if you get in. It's the communication and owners that stink. If you need to contact them via email good luck. They have yet to reply to an email and the front desk can never answer a question when you call - they say they will have someone call you back and they don't. I once had a class canceled and I was not alerted until I actually showed up. Infuriating. Worst customer service - go somewhere else if you want to be treated like a paying customer. read more

I'm not a gym rat, but I love Pilates. I feel so much more stretched out and supple after each class. It's like a massage but with caloric and strength benefits. If you aren't in shape, don't be afraid. The instructors are good about showing you how to adapt until you are strong enough to do something. So much of the foot and leg work will strengthen tiny muscles that prevent instability and injuries--it's a must for women of a certain age. It can seem like it's hard to book classes when you first use the app, but the waitlist really does get you in most of the time. I have a complicated membership because it's split with an incentive from my insurance company, but each month the team irons it out for me and I get all my classes in. I have also asked about COVID protocols and their upgraded HVAC system, daily fogging, and cleaning after each class has kept me coming back without a problem. I just wish a few classes were held on weekend afternoons because I have never gotten into a weekend morning class. There's high demand. read more

Overall, Club Pilates Ashburn has excellent instruction except for one instructor who yells and spoke to me several times in condescending way. One example is comment something like this: "The ceiling is above you, not below you." There were other (what I consider belittling) comments as well, but I am using this one as an example. I quit attending her classes as I would leave feeling deflated and incapable. I related this scenario to the lead instructor via e-mail and by conversation. She tried to show empathy and professionalism, but I got the feeling the bottom dollar is their mission. (I cannot prove that of course, but that was the vibe I got). One of the front desk people slammed papers when I asked her to check me into class. (Computer check-in was not working,) I said thank you several times and she angrily walked off. At this point (after a year + of membership) I filled out the paperwork to leave this studio for good. It was just too exhausting dealing with a couple of over-the-top rude employees. In total, I would recommend this studio if: *You have former dance experience and catch on very quickly. (It seems that non-athletic types (me) may be labeled early on and not held in the highest regard. Perhaps those of us who are a tiny bit of trouble are not worth the effort?) *You don't mind low level customer service interactions on occasion and can handle a somewhat judgmental vibe. (I had a hard time with this as membership is pricey.) I assessed my total experience as best as I could. *UPDATE* The studio itself is beautiful. The instructors are knowledgeable and the workout itself is impressive. Reformer Pilates and barre are where it's at for a toned physique. When I first started attending the studio I was taken back by how full the classes were. I first saw this as a negative, however, experience has changed my mind. Club Pilates offers a very effective waitlist. You use the app to book classes and to list yourself on the waitlist. At first I hated the idea of using it but now I see it works and I'm able to go to my classes without a hinge. I now take 2 classes a day most days unless my schedule doesn't permit. So that just goes to show...you'll get in classes. Allison the manager was great to work with. I expressed my concerns in regard to the classes being booked and she took her time to really help me understand how the waitlist works and to help me feel welcome at the studio. I highly recommend Club Pilates to anyone looking to make serious changes to their physique. ***ALSO*** I took measurements and after one week of using Club Pilates I have lost 1/2 and inch around my hips, 4 inches around my stomach, and 1 inch around my calves. I have been doing reformer Pilates for close to 15 years and have tended to float between studios. I haven't floated since joining Club Pilates as the variety, regularity and quantity of sessions keeps me satiated. This review is not for the actual training which I enjoyed very much. It's for the billing practices which turned me off and as a result, I'll never return again. I initially went to Club Pilates for an intro class. I REALLY liked it, especially because I could feel if immediately after one session. I paid for a few sessions and eventually decided to join where they would bill me automatically. I had been to one class and found out I was going to have to have surgery and couldn't workout for a while. I asked if I could freeze my membership which they did. I was under the impression that it would stay "frozen" until I could safely start to workout out again on a date that I chose. I had some makeup classes to use and they told me they would push everything out. At this point I had a credit. Then all of a sudden I started getting emails saying I was being billed for a month of services that I never had (somehow my account had become unfrozen). I called and spoke to someone who said she was taking care of it (she didn't). Remember, I haven't USED THE MEMBERSHIP YET. Then I started getting calls from a collection agency for not one month BUT FOR over $700. The sad thing is, I NEVER GOT A CHANCE TO USE THE MEMBERSHIP. In my opinion, the billing practices are inflammatory and left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not paying for something I never got a chance to use. read more

Five stars for classes, three stars for customer service, so that averages out to four. All of the instructors I've been to are great, the equipment is pristine, and I really like the variety of classes and how many class times are offered. Prices are a little steep (solicore is cheaper!), but not totally unreasonable for reformer classes. What I'm not in love with is the customer service/booking system. Most studios I go to make it very clear how many classes I have on my package, when they expire, etc. It seems like there's no way to tell that in the app for Club Pilates. Also, if you're on an auto-renew membership, it seems like you should be able to book classes in advance for the next month that you're going to be charged for, but apparently you can't do this in the app or by calling the studio. read more

When I had to reschedule the intro class, they were very obliging and kind, even though I did it last minute. The place was spotless, they do a lot to keep things clean and sanitized. They clean the machines after each use and fog the place each night. There was only one other person in the intro class and they kept us a machine apart. The instructor was very knowledgable and attentive, both encouraging us to push ourselves, stressing safety and giving personal instruction, a truly good teacher. After the workout, I felt great. I'm a larger woman and this session gave me find some much appreciated flexibility in my legs and back. My arms were sore the next morning. I also have arthritis in my knees and not once did they crunch it grind. Will definetly be doing this again! read more

I have been going to Club Pilates for 3 years now. I absolutely love reformer pilates. Its fun, it basically a fun way to work every muscle in your body. I like people that work in the studio, I like all the instructors. I like people that go there, I met a lot of ladies and gents through the years. The other great thing is that the club is always accommodating in terms of changing membership if something happened or even frizzing my membership if needs be. The instructors and classes here were very nice when I could get into one, but that was the challenge. I signed up for a monthly membership which was $109 for 4 classes/month. However, what they don't tell you is that as a monthly member, you can only sign up two weeks out while the unlimited members can sign up months in advance so most of the time, all of the classes are booked. Their response to that problem is to tell you to get on the wait lists for different classes because they often have cancellations. But again, most of the cancellations don't happen until the day before, so you have no ability to create a schedule and book classes. You can just basically take them on standby. I guess this might work for someone who has a very open schedule every day, but if you have any other commitments, it's very hard to actually use the membership you are paying for. I had so many unused classes when I finally cancelled. Management acknowledged that this is a problem they hear about often and said it's because they "only have 12 reformers." Ok, but then don't accept membership past the capacity that you can accommodate. I think it reflects poorly on management that they continue to promote and sell the monthly membership when they know customers can't actually get into classes. It definitely left a bad impression on me and didn't feel like a good place to be. read more

What a great idea to bring Club Pilates to Ashburn! Upon walking in I immediately felt that this was the place for me. I have always been extremely interested in getting fit, but not as motivated to get started. Upon walking in, I felt welcomed. All members of the staff are helpful and knowledgeable in the area of Pilates. The class is amazing for me because you get the individualized attention although in a small group. After doing the demo class I was hesitant to sign up because of the pricing, but the fact that just after the demo I felt more energized, focused, and strengthened then my typical unmotivated time in the gym made me realize that it is worth it! After my third visit at the Ashburn location and a very long hiatus from any training of this type, this has been a great experience. I have back and shoulder issues in addition to a total knee replacement. Upon informing the instructor and receiving guidance, there does not appear to be any adverse impact. VERY disappointed I rejoined Club Pilates after being gone due to the pandemic.... I will NOT continue after my 3 month commitment!!!!! When you CANNOT even book a class for the entire month (this was within the first week of the month) unless you get on a waitlist and if your package is the 4 per month you can't even be on more than 4 in the month not knowing which classes you'll be able to get in! For people who have a job it has been horrible not to mention the fact that I shared with the instructor before the class I was coming back after being gone so I might be a little rusty..... she told me at the end of the class I should start back with a level 1 class I was making her "cringe with some of the moves" not to mention there were two people in the class that obviously (had other issues) and were not even on the reformer with some of the moves..... I have done pilates on and off for years and am somewhat fit but yes absolutely rusty.... how about "welcome back but you might want to think about taking the class 1 to get back up to par". I explained I tried to get into a 1 but have been on the waitlist and unable to get in... she said "it's not about your schedule it's about safety" I will not use her name but cannot wait till my 3 months is up!!!!!! read more
