Attending Joyoga classes weekly has improved my strength, flexibility and balance, all so important as we age. I've been a student of Joy's for over two years and am amazed that every single class I attend is different. She blends different types of yoga and is extremely knowledgeable about the human body, which is a great benefit to her students. Her classes include a variety of positions and exercises and are an excellent work-out without any fear of injuring yourself. Because her classes are small, she provides individual attention when needed. Should you have a sore shoulder or knee or a preexisting condition such as osteopenia, she makes sure that a position or movement is comfortable for you. When appropriate, she may suggest an alternative position for you during a particular segment of class.
Most of all, taking classes at Joyoga weekly benefits my mind and spirit. No matter how cluttered my brain should be or how stressed I may feel when I arrive for class, at the end of the session, I feel calm, grounded and thankful for life. Joy's voice is soothing, her words are comforting, and her reading selections during Shavasana are meaningful. I assure you that participating in Shavasana at Joyoga is a peaceful experience of comfort and well-being that is unique and wonderful. read more
