I've been here many times after a day of skiing. It's at the base of Mary Jane and it's nice to sit outside and have a beer. The service has always been slow, but today there was no service. 2pm, lots of open tables. They told me to wait to be seated, then after 20 minutes said they didn't have enough staff to seat me. Okay. Honestly, it's not the food or beer you go to this place for. It's the location. Maybe next time I can get a seat. read more

I don't know if I've ever eaten at club car, but I can confirm that the apres are fantastic. From margaritas made with fresh squeezed juice, to very affordable mary jane beers, it's a great place to meet up with friends at the bottom of the hill. I love this little restaurant at the base of Mary Jane! The servers are always super nice and the food is great depending on what you get of course. The burger here is actually really good in my opinion and I always get it! I will say it gets busy quick though so get here quick or you may have to wait a little bit. I had no food here just a couple of drinks but I'm a fan. While waiting to get my skis waxed we decided on a liquid lunch. Is a Bloody Mary vegan? If so then I had a vegan lunch. Spicy tomato juice with generous dose of vodka and pickles. Here I found my favorite cocktail, Passionfruit Hold Up, my friend calls it the Passion Old Up, so crazy yummy, the Passionfruit flavor was intoxicating, I don't normally like sweet drinks but this was worth it. 2 draft beers for $4 with an order of an appetizer! Sure why not!? Luckily we were able to find a seat easily for apres ski at Winter Park. The Mary Jane side of the mountain is by far my favorite spot here. They have a lodge here that is quite roomy and this club car spot for an apres. I highly recommend getting the Mary Jane Ale while here. We ordered the poutine for our appetizer which was delicious! Our cheese curds were breaded and fried! That's the first I've had for that. Typically it's just cheese curds. It was a great spot to relax and hang out with some friends right after a ski day. The server was also witty and enjoyable. read more

It has been a year since I dined at the Club Car. I must say I was impressed with the size of the Bloody Mary. My girlfriends also said the Free Speech is a good cocktail and several of them ordered it. I ordered the burger because I was a wee bit hungover. It was so delicious with two patties, lettuce, and gooey melted cheese. I was pretty surprised how good it was and ate almost all of it. I should have shared it with a friend because it is a big lunch to have in your tummy to ski with. I will definitely come back for lunch here. read more

This rating is for the bartender Alicia. She is very nice and accommodating. As for the Food I would give it a 2 out of 5. I ordered buffalo wings and a few beers. Shes very attentive and enjoys converstaion with the patrons. The wings were over sauced. I suggest they use a better quality sauce or at least add thier own love to it. I can easily tell its out of a bottle. Hot Buffalo Sauce that comes in a big Jar? All you need is a little love. Thier happy hour is great I took advantage of the New Belgium Fat Tire and Mary Jane. Have to say I love the Fat tire much more. I would come back if I needed a beer and maybe a small snack. read more

Club Car is an excellent spot to stop for lunch or a drink. While the food can run a little on the pricey side for what you get, such is life at ski mountains. You already know that going into your trip. That said, the service at Club Car is great! Sarah (with an H!) is very friendly and attentive. She was eager to help suggest drinks and food, and she was prompt with her service. The bartender - his name escapes me, but he has an hilarious story about New Orleans - was also attentive and fun, making the entire experience great. I highly suggest visiting Club Car and not Lunch Rock while skiing at Winter Park. read more

Club Car is a decent slope-side bar and restaurant at the base of Mary Jane. It has outdoor tables facing the slopes if it is warm enough to sit outside, and a mellow, dark-wood interior with tables and a small bar. They open daily (during ski season) at 11 AM, and stay open as long as there are enough customers to warrant it - at least 4:30 PM. Service is decent, and they sell some jumbo bloody marys for $8. As is the case with most ski-slope dining, they are trading on their location, not the imagination or value of their culinary offerings, but if your expectations are not too high, they will be met. read more

I used to think this place was OK despite the overly priced ski area menu. However, my last visit resulted in a wicked case of food poisoning. While it may have been a fluke I'd be worried, we thought the burger seemed off and the waitress told us it was normal. Beware if you get a funky burger, I'd send it back. read more

A great spot to duck in for a couple of beers while pillaging this fabulous mountain. Environment is unique: black and whites from circa late 1970s Mary Jane mountain. They're fun to walk around and look at. The service has always been pretty close to A-1. They have removed some of the best stuff from the menu--what were you thinking getting rid of the "C-lot truck stop"? Come on that is a staple! Prices are frankly quite overpriced...I understand that there's a ski lift 75' away but $17 for a burger and fries is pretty bad. $9 for a cup (not bowl!) of chili please reconsider. 3 stars based on the Mary Jane ale, the service and location but the food is grotesquely overpriced. read more

I had been here once before and really enjoyed the caesar salad with chicken. The Mary Jane amber was great, too. The service was sub par and I ended up having to get our drinks from the bar and bring them to the table. Anyway, I went back on my birthday 2 days ago and was flat-out appalled at the service. Not only was the service bad, but RUDE. Curby was our server. Upon us sitting down we heard a man at the table next to us asking him where his credit card was. Curby had no idea. He seemed obviously flustered so we didn't mind waiting 20 minutes to be greeted. The guy still didn't have his card last I saw. Upon being greeted, instead of, "Hi guys, how ya doin'?" like a normal server, he complains and tells us "how much crazy sh*t's going on right now." I guess in some places it's acceptable to swear at your guests within your first sentence to them? I don't know. Anyway... we had our order ready when we ordered 3 beers and gave it to him all at once. He didn't write anything down. Also, my mother is celiac and can't have gluten. When all she asked was for "no bun," Curby responded with, "Why can't you eat wheat? What happens if you do?" showing obvious annoyance at her modification. He walked away. 30 minutes later our beers showed up... but after my mom went inside and asked him about them. He asked where we were sitting and stared out the window tapping a credit card to his chin. Then she asked if he put in our order, and he immediately said, "Yeah, yeah. What did you have again?" and she repeated our order (which totaled 3 items, 2 of which were the same). After being there for an hour and knowing our order was just recently put in, we decided it wasn't worth waiting. We had only done one run because traffic delayed our start time. I walked inside and asked for a manager. "She's not here." The female server didn't ask what was wrong or what happened... just shrugged it off when I told her, "Sorry, but we're leaving." When Curby heard this, he flipped out. "You're food's gonna be right out!" He yelled from 2 tables away. I told him it had been too long and we had to go. We had had maybe 4 sips of beer. He threw a tantrum and said, "See if you sit in my section again! You can go to the cafeteria next time!" I laughed because I couldn't believe he was actually saying it in front of all the other guests. As I walked away with my parents he yelled from the door, "ENJOY YOUR HOT DOG!!!!!" (Please note, this is a grown man probably in his late 30s). A woman sitting at a nearby table raised her eyebrows and said she couldn't believe he talked to us that way. Then she called him an a** hole. A few other people commented on how poor the service was and how long they had to wait for food or drinks. We've agreed to just pack our own lunches from now on. Shame on that place. Rudeness looks terrible on Mary Jane, which has been one of our favorite resorts. Oh well. read more
