I didn't know there were businesses like this still in operation. I had a lot of questions and was very nervous when I brought my BMW in for smog. Mike answered all my questions and was very patient with me. The building and waiting area was super clean and had that old town feel. It's very cool! "Charm" is not something I usually associate with a smog center, but Clovis Smogs is just incredibly charming. The place is beautifully decorated and makes your (brief) wait very comfortable. There were two big ol' friendly dogs hanging out while I was there which was a plus. The price was also the best I could find in town. I had a bad experience with another Smog & Repair shop down the road (from Clovis Smogs) a few years back and would drive 20 mins away to visit a reputable shop. The shop is spotless and inviting with two shop dogs behind the counter to welcome you. There is free fresh coffee and even snacks if you're hungry. Great place to get your car smog checked and now that they can do DMV services makes this spot even better. I had my car checked, registered and new plates on in under an hour. Way better than having to wait hours in line at the DMV. The guys there are quick, honest and will do their best to help you out. Went in on a Wednesday afternoon when I got out unexpectedly early from work. There were no other customers waiting for a smog. I walked in & was greeted immediately, even by the two cute dogs behind the counter. My car was immediately taken back & the entire process took all of 10 minutes! This was the easiest smog I've ever got in my life. The gentleman was extremely nice. The waiting area was clean & there was a variety of teas & coffees available. The price was unbeatable. The owner Blanca, was rude, did not bother to wear a mask and had attitude. I was not impressed. The first time I took the car in, there were two young gentlemen both wearing masks, both polite. My car did not pass they showed me why and were very professional. I brought the car back to retest and the experience was not the same. As stated above, the owner was not wearing a mask and she did not require it of her clientele. The same young man took care of my car and that is the only reason I gave them two stars. So happy I searched Yelp for smog shops because it led me here! The waiting room is clean and nothing like other auto/smog shops I've been in. Good place for kids to patiently wait for the test to be done. There were even snacks for the kids! The test itself only took a few minutes. It was a short walking distance to Old Town Clovis for some shopping, snacks or going to the bank. The customer service was great! I'm happy I could support this local small business! The past few years (since about 2013 or so) I've been to many different smog shops around Clovis. Every time I needed to get my vehicle's smog renewed, I would be unsure of where to go because it seems like there's always smog shops opening and closing. Finally, I've found a place that I will be returning to! The process is super quick, in and out in less than 10 minutes. Walked in without an appointment and there was no line. Tons of snacks, coffee, and tea on hand in a comfortable waiting area. Don't waste your time going to other smog shops that are sketchy, slow, or won't be open 2 years down the road. read more

Came here for a last minute smog check before I hit the DMV. The guy working (maybe the owner?) was super welcoming and friendly. Also had a shop dog! Super chill! During the test we ran into a problem with my intake and he went out of his way to find the part number and finished up the test with passing scores.
