I go to the appointment and the kids play area was dirty and all of the colouring books already had been used- books all over the place. when the assistant came out to call me I could barely hear what she said and had to confirm she was calling us. She didnt introduce herself or give my child any attention which is unfortunate due to it being an appointment for him- a little extra communication and friendliness towards children goes a long way in their dental experience. She didn't give us any instructions we seated ourselves and then she just walked away. My child was confused and we didn't know what was happening - when the dentist finally came she didn't introduce herself and then acted confused as I was there. I explained my email and she again just acted like I was an inconvenience to her. she confirmed she didn't do what I needed and wouldn't give this device to my child. she then offered a different device and barely even looked at my child's teeth and bite that I was concerned about. this whole time she also didn't talk to my child and include him in the appointment. i already felt like I wasted my time travelling here and when i followed up about the device i wanted they basically told me to go somewhere else. So after i finished looking into this and wanted it she wasted my time again. WASTE OF TIME. so unprofessional

My personal experience with Dr. Jesse Jacob at Signature Smilez Family Dental clinic, was…read moreunfortunately not positive. During treatment, a decision was made that resulted in weeks of ongoing pain and sleepless nights. Dr. Jacob told me she felt she had "made a bad call" regarding the treatment course and, due to the outcome, said she was "afraid to do any more work" on me. She recommended I see an endodontist for the next procedure, after which I would return to her care. I, too, was afraid to receive further treatment from her, given the level of pain I was enduring and what I perceived as a lack of empathy. I experienced my first panic attack in a dental office during this visit and left feeling unsupported and unsafe. I walked out in pain and confusion -- an extremely upsetting and stressful experience. I also observed interactions with staff that made me uncomfortable. At times, her tone seemed harsh or belittling, which contributed to the overall tense atmosphere during my visits. I eventually had the work completed by another dentist. That provider showed compassion and understanding of my situation, which I was incredibly grateful for. Dr. Jacob still insisted on full payment for the services I felt were incomplete or unsatisfactory. When I raised concerns, I felt unheard, dismissed, and invalidated during our interactions. Additionally, I found the process of obtaining a clear, itemized invoice unnecessarily difficult. I had to request it multiple times, and the office refused to provide an itemized breakdown to show full transparency of all costs, which only added to my frustration. They would only continually reference what they had sent to my insurance company as a predetermination. While I've had nothing but positive experiences with other dentists throughout my life, this experience left me feeling anxious and deeply uncomfortable about seeking any future dental care -- something I had never experienced before. If you're looking for a clinic that offers compassionate care, strictly follows the Alberta Dental Fee Guide, and provides transparent, upfront information about pricing -- including details surrounding "professional fees", you may want to consider other options. I encourage reading a full range of reviews across various platforms, including the negative ones, to form a more complete picture before booking. I wish I had done so beforehand. There's an old saying: people might not remember what you said, but they'll always remember how you made them feel. I will never forget how trusting Dr. Jacob made me feel -- dismissed, anxious, and unsupported at a time when I was in pain and needed empathetic care. This review reflects my personal experience and opinion and is shared in good faith to help others make informed decisions

I don't usually write reviews of places, but the only reason I went here is because of the other…read morepositive reviews I found on google, and so I am really grateful for the people who took the time to write reviews. I went to this dental office today. The place is beyond clean, and it looks really cool - it's not like your typical dental offices. It is the most uncluttered office you will ever see in your life, guaranteed. Just look at the office pics posted on the site, it looks exactly like that, for all I know, they could have taken the pictures today cause it's exactly as clean, bright and unclutterd as the pictures, and I love the white and red colors. They didn't show a picture of the cool booth they have in the waiting room...the picture of the reception area, where you see that white shiny table...well on the 2 walls behind, there is a super long booth that goes from wall to wall, like an L shaped booth and it's really cool. I kind of felt excited to be there when I saw how cool these exam sections were and with all their new fancy dental equipment - everything brand new and clean! So fancy looking! They had a radio station playing in the background which I loved because while the dentist was working on my tooth, I was listening to the music and it helped take my mind off things while she worked on my tooth. My last dental office had a TV on the wall which was pointless because you can't watch tv while having dental work done. The staff were really super friendly and always with a smile on their face. I don't know if it's just me, but i've never gone to a dentist office and had staff with smiles on their faces. They might crack a fake smile and tell me to go have a seat, but at Swish, seriously, the reception girls were all smiles all the time and super friendly. I genuinely felt like they really were happy to see me and to have me there...and genuinely felt like they were happy to be working at Swish dental, and proud to be helping people. I don't know if i've ever seen a reception person at a dental office, or any office for that matter, seem like they were actually happy to be there and loved their job. It makes a huge impact on the clients, but I was excited to be there from start to end because everything was so positive, every person in that office was so positive, friendly and with smiles on their faces. The new patient form was a laminated form that I had to fill out with a dry erase pen which I thought was kind of cool because obviously they care enough about the environment to not be printing pages upon pages of documents and I assume they scan the page and then erase the info for the next patient to fill in which is an awesome idea -- and probably part of the reason their office is so clean and uncluttered. The dentist and dental assistant were so friendly and very gentle with me. I am bad with names, so I forget what the name of the dentist was...I think Jordana. But in any case, she didn't rush through the procedure and you could tell that she genuinely wanted to give me the best possible result so that I wouldn't have any more issues with that tooth in the future. I really felt at ease the whole time I was there and she let me know what she was doing as she went so that I would know what to expect instead of laying there wondering what was going on. She was very nice and pleasant and so was her dental assistant. I called on Friday morning to book an appointment and they said they could take me that afternoon, but I couldn't go that fast, so then they booked me for this morning. So seems they have really great availability right now, but i'm assuming it's because they are brand new and still building their client base, which will probably happen fairly soon because they are just that amazing. The only thing I wasn't super enthused about is that just as you walk in, before you get through the 2nd door, they have a sign asking people to remove their shoes before going in. I noticed there were a lot of croc shoes on a shoe rack but I didn't pay attention if they were there for people to use, or if there are actually that many people wearing crocs these days...I wish I had known about the shoe thing before going cause I would have brought my slippers with me, which I will do the next time I go there. It wasn't bad though, the floors were clean - probably because no outside shoes were walking around on them, so I can appreciate that. I'm just mentioning this part in case anyone else is weird like me about removing shoes. So anyways, this is my review. I totally give this place 5 stars, I would give more if I could. I'm so grateful for the other reviews I found online which is what was the deciding factor for me in calling to make an appointment at this place, so I hope my review helps someone else know that this place is a really really great place, and I highly recommend!!
