Cloud Naan delivered a really enjoyable dining experience for my family. The ambience was warm and welcoming, and the service stood out immediately. First timer at cloud Naan I'm happy to say I would most definitely be coming back. As first timers we didn't know we have to order at the kiosk first . Honestly I love !! There's is pictures of the food so that's great for me I'm a visual person . We got the samosas , butter chicken , the lamb dish and a side of naan . It was definitely enough for two of us The samosas are spicy so all the non spicy eaters I wouldn't recommend. They are tasty . Butter chicken was good . The lamb was also spicy but delicious. Our first order of naan that came with the butter chicken was okay but the second was fresh it was nice and warm and we absolutely love it the second time around. It's super cute and definitely made me feel as if I was having a meal in the mother land . The server offered us complimentary chai which was quite delicious. I heard they used to have self serve water, but there was none this time which was a bummer. My group had a total of 7 people. We ordered 2 butter chickens, 2 rices, and 7 pieces of the garlic naan. When the rice and butter chicken came out I was a bit worried it wouldn't be enough food for all of us because we were all starving and some of us were big eaters, but when the garlic naan came out it snuffed out all my problems. The garlic naan was so big, it was bigger than my face. We were so excited for the naan I forgot to take a picture! The garlic naan was delectable and I'm so glad we got one for each person, 10/10. The butter chicken was sooooooo delicious. The chicken was very tender and the sauce was amazing with the rice and naan. The meal also came with 2 sauces. A mint one, a spicy red one, and a black one that kind of tasted like tamarind? I really enjoyed the red sauce with the butter chicken, gave it a nice kick. 5/5! I literally couldn't be happier with my experience here. I'm a sucker for a really cute decorated restaurant so I was living for it as soon as I walked in the door. I ordered at the kiosk and the hostess watched me as I clicked "butter chicken" (which was the only reason I came LOL) and she politely let me know that that dish was for two people. I said that's fine, I have family at home. That dish could've been for 5 people, I was getting my butter chicken! I also ordered samosas and garlic naan. Everything was delicious. Theres a little parking lot right in front but theres also plenty of street parking What a magical and whimsical vibe here! The inside is unique filled with colorful decorations. Service was ok they tell you to order from the kiosk and sit anywhere you like there isnt a whole lot of tables its a small place. We were offered free hot chai tea and that was a nice little touch and if you order drinks you just gotta grab them yourselves from the fridge next to the kiosk. Including the mango lassi which was my first time trying its like a yogurty fruity thick smoothie It took awhile for the food to come but when it did i was super happy and amazed. Very flavorful! I'm a sucker for restaurants that offer a warm, cozy vibe while staying open late and Cloud Naan delivers. So the service is a bit DIY; you walk in and there's a huge digital screen where you place your order. After that, it's self-seating. So, it's a mixture of a restaurant and fast-casual. For example, you receive your food on metal bowls/plates but then your utensils and cups are disposable. If they elevate the experience a bit to offer metal forks and ceramic cups, I think it'd make everything just a bit nicer. Anyways, I think first-timers should order from the Combo section. We ordered the butter chicken combo and the mutton karahi combo and I believe it's enough to feed roughly 3 people. For the value you get, that's pretty darn good IMO ($15 + $19 by themselves, but we added on the kashimiri tea and garlic naan). The mutton karahi was AMAZING. I've never had this Pakistani dish, but oh my goodness. Super flavorful and tender meat. My biggest gripe is that there's bones--which isn't unexpected, but there were some instances where some bones were broken off and made tiny little shards. Definitely be a bit more careful when eating this. The butter chicken was also great; just as you'd expect as other spots that serve this. The salad was perfectly seasoned and everything wasn't too spicy. I loved the ambiance; there's a few low tables and a few regular-height benches. The entire place is decorated really well and it makes the place feel more vibey. There's even a Carrom table, which was being played by another party. The pita sandwich roll up with beef is really good yall! This is why I like Carson. Best reasonable eats around.... 15.00 Long ass sandwich really tasty meat with three sauces too. Mango lassi is the real deal and thick as a milkshake for 5.00. Complimentary chai tea and crisps while I waited. A beautiful interior. I highly recommend this place and plan to come back soon hopefully for some good mutton (or goat??!!). The other dishes and desserts looked really good on the menu. Just tried Cloud Naan and honestly this spot is a great addition to Carson. Easy 5/5. When you walk in the whole vibe is really cool. The decor kind of pulls you into another world and doesn't feel like a typical quick food spot. Ordering is done on a touch screen, but the staff is around and super helpful if you have questions. Heads up, most of the food does have some spice to it. Some dishes are milder than others, but you'll feel it a little. The butter chicken was really good. Super flavorful and creamy with a small kick at the end. Kids should be fine with it, just grab some naan with it to cool things down The garlic naan was great. Tasted fresh, soft, and not overly doughy. Probably some of the better naan I've had recently. Chicken tikka was my favorite. Really good flavor and definitely has some heat, but in a good way. Worth it. Also the portions are big. Most plates can easily feed 2 to 4 people, so keep that in mind when ordering. Overall great spot, Carson needed something like this. Very unfortunate experience today at this restaurant. First time there and I really wanted to like it, and it has nothing to do with the food. I witnessed someone come from the kitchen area, grab a napkin and blow his nose and go right back into the kitchen. I figured he wasn't a chef because he wasn't wearing an apron and maybe he was a delivery person. I ended up asking the waitress and she said he was the owner. I told her what happened and that if the owner would do something like that in front of a customer what do the other staff do? I will not be back to this restaurant. read more

I must be one of the luckiest people alive. I can't believe how good this food is. I swear to God you come here and you order the chicken with the buttery naan bread you eat tons of it, but it gets even better yeah the sauces and if you have one of the rolled up euro sandwiches, make sure you get it with lamb. It's beyond ridiculously good. I become quite familiar with the culture and they love feeding me lots and lots of brides putting which they know I love the seating. Here is immaculate. There is street parking on the residential street next to the restaurant. From the outside you cant tell much since it's very basic and plain but once you walk in the decor is bright and bold and very festive. The staff was friendly but the place was empty but it was still early evening. We order a mix of things some our staple buys some new thing to try. Butter chicken was a total miss, was not a fan. That goes with the haleem as well. The naan was mediocre due to the raw garlic still on. The mango lassi and tandoori items like shek kabab and chicken tikka was very good thou. Their chutney and green raita were delicious too. Overall wasn't that impressed but the new place but would go for the tandoori dishes. read more

Was craving Indian food and stumbled upon this place on Yelp and wow were we on cloud naan! I drove by it at first cause it's a non assuming corner spot with a small parking lot. We parked on the street next to the building. The interior felt like we were transported to India. We ordered on a touchscreen and got: 1 basmati rice 2x garlic naan / jalapeño (5/5): so fresh and soft on the inside but crispy on outside. A bit oily 1 butter chicken curry (4/5): thought it was lacking butter/cream and mostly tasted like tomato but still good and it came with a lot which i was happy about 1 paratha wrap (5/5)!! A must get. It comes with a white sauce and a chili. It has raw onions which elevates the whole wrap. Would come back just for it. 1 chicken seekh kabob (4/5): thought it was ok nothing too crazy. Okay... 1st, let me explain my 3 stars! In this case, it's not necessarily extremely bad, because a part of me wants to come back and actually try their other foods; possibly eat inside and try it super fresh! So... the 1st time I tried to go here, online on Yelp it said it closed at a certain time at a particular day, but when I went.... despite it saying that they're open, they were CLOSED! I was like "wtf?". On top of that, parking is a crap shoot. Either you find parking or you don't, depending on what time you try to come through. I ordered either their Chicken Tikka Masala or Butter Chicken. Whatever it was, I paid around $20 or so. Inside, I actually kind of like all the cool decorations with the umbrellas and cultural art around. They even got a random carrom board like... a professional one too! The 2 young ladies who helped me in the counter were really nice when I picked up my food. Got home, tried the food, but I expected a little bit more taste and a little bit more chicken for what I paid. Unlike some other Indian spots, I didn't get any complimentary side stuff/samples. Honestly thought with them being called "Cloud Naan", that I and others would get complimentary naan bread to go, but I didn't get any naan or biryani rice like some other cool Indian places I go to; this was the 1st/only place that did this. Totally down to give this place another try and who knows!? I might enjoy more of the other future foods I want to try. This is "Cloud Naan Urban Desi BBQ" this place is in Carson California. 424 East Carson Street, Carson, CA 90745. They described themselves as a Pakistani, barbecue, kebab type restaurant. very cute boutique vibe on the inside. When I arrived, it was pretty empty. They had one person in the front, assuming it was the hostess. This place doesn't pass out menus like a traditional restaurant. You order your food from a kiosk, I kinda liked it because they had photos of what you were ordering and it was easy to edit if you changed your mind. you pay upfront so you could literally leave when you're done eating. They only have one so on a busy day I can see how that would be a problem. It was pretty dead when I got there so it was fine. All I can say is flavor flavor flavor. I started with their samosas They were warm, fluffy and flavorful by themselves. Just delicious. Dip them in that butter chicken sauce you just elevated this little triangle puff to 10! The Butter chicken combo came with the side of the white rice. By itself, it was fluffy and flavorful. Top it with the butter, chicken and sauce, and Wow! the perfect combo the butter chicken was creamy and flavorful. It was like you could taste all of the spices they weren't overpowering. They were perfect. Just a great dish overall. I also got Paratha Roll (Beef) this was flavorful and well balanced. The meat wasn't dry. You could taste all of the aromatics and spices a really nice dish. Like everything else pour a little of that butter chicken sauce on top of it and that elevated this wrap to a 10. if you haven't already figured it out by now if you stop by here, make sure you get the butter chicken. everything else is great as well. I'm not gonna take away from those dishes, but that butter chicken we ended our meal with their tea, which was very pleasant. I spent about $58 and it was worth every penny. Another improvement at the reception is to politely greet customers as they come in while they are being directed towards the computerized ordering system with a choice, an option of "if you need additional information about any menu items or help with ordering, please feel free to ask me." The last part in that prior sentence can be saved for those who visibly struggle with their orders. There are many more adventurous palates in the older generations who are not tech savy and are mostly short in patience... An establishment that has a fine dining menu but chooses to provide plastic forks and spoons, cheapest ones at that, pre cooked and pre-grilled re-heated dishes, self ordering kiosk, one person serving and not the most pleasant one at that, doesn't deserve a second chance! As a positive, the only thing that was freshly prepared, grilled ground chicken skewers was actually good!
