The soup dish ( can't remember the name) was fantastic. It was a bit spicy for my Palet, but it was still edible and delicious. We actually went home and had the rest for our dinner the next night. Great spot for large group hangouts and late night eats! My group of 16 came for a grad celebration on a Saturday night and the restaurant accommodated us so well! The workers are really friendly and checked in regularly with us. The food was so tasty and the portions are all shareable. My favorite soup was the chicken stew which came with a whole small chicken and was super comforting. I also enjoyed their Malatang and other sides like their curly fries! They have their own parking lot with street parking in front as well. Their sign is pretty big so it's not too hard to find on the street. Spicy lovers, this place is for you! Atto took over Bomb Chicken and did it justice by opening til midnight!!!! If you read my other reviews you can tell how important closing late is for me ;) The Sichuan-style malatang is such a treat. It's got everything you need, from lotus root to bok choy to the beef. The spicy, numbing broth was very good, and it all goes down extremely well with rice and soju. I am a little disappointed in the guo bao rou; the pork was fried well but the sauce was too sweet and syrupy for me. I've had this problem at another Chinese-Korean spot so I think it's my own personal issue with the dish and not Atto's fault. The inside is spacious-ish; enough space for some groups, but their parking lot is tiny and you might need to park on the street. I saw they were hosting some Korea world cup games and it looked so fun!! But the reservations booked insanely quickly. Overall I would come back for the malatang but also hope the menu expands a bit beyond the large stews for smaller groups. Definitely a contender for late night eating and drinking! read more

I'm so glad to have malatang and Malaxiangguo near us in Torrance/gardena. I'd have to drive to Buena Park or known for this so super glad i can cure my craving without the drive. I only tried a few items but will definitely go back to try the others. Service is fast and good. Restaurant is a g decent aize so service is super fast. Food comes out at a decent time without waiting too long. Ambiance, it's a a sport ish bar. They have TVs and was playing the World Cup games when I went. Really glad we got to try this place! It's hard to find a Malaxiang guo spot in Torrance/gardena. we always have to drive super far. The spot used to be a chicken spot that they taken over.we had a chance to chat with the owners they were super nice. The service is fast and the food hits the spot. Went to Atto this past sunday and it was a 10/10 experience! The owner (Lj)was very nice and the food was exceptional! The astmosphere was also a vibe on top of that! came here w my mom and cousin cus I saw reviews about their malatang and it didn't disappoint! We came here at like 815 and it was empty! The food is really good but there was no one here! I was a bit shocked but this location is actually not a very good location in Gardena for a restaurant business. I hope they last though! I've seen this place change business like 4 times over a span of only a few years. Anyway, the malatang is really good. The broth is catered to more Korean taste buds so it's less herbally than the usual malatang. We also got the dakhanmari which means 1 chicken in Korean and they put a whole chicken in broth and cook it that way. I'm not a fan of chicken that's not fried, but it was okay and the broth is very clean and refreshing. They also give you 부추 kimchi and regular kimchi on the side for it. The crispy pork skin thing was my favorite. I forgot what it's called on the menu but it's basically 탕수육. The inside is really cute and vibey. Has a more modernized pocha feel. This place kept switching to different businesses but I was able to finally visit Atto! We went Friday night to have a beer so we ordered live draft beer with some food and was good. The owner was very nice and we felt welcomed as we went inside and despite having the restaurant full service time was fast and the inside environment was clean and chic. Tried this place after having it on my list for a while. Tteok bok ki is one of my favorite dishes and has been since I was a kid. Was stoked to try it here. While it wasn't the worst, it wasn't the best. $20 for the dish was somewhat reasonable. But the rest of our food was $35-$40 per dish. We wanted the fried chicken but they were out. We ordered a dish with glass noodles and when it came out without it, they said "we're out of that too". Would have been nice to tell us that at the beginning. Also if you only have 8 - 10 items on your menu, it feels wild to be out of ingredients. Overall I'd say the place is a one and done. If the dishes they have hit a nostalgic soft spot for you, maybe it's worth it. But for the price and what's on the menu, I don't think I'll go back. read more

We were looking for dinner and remembered that this place just opened. That was a great decision! It's a smallish resto inside. I forget the setup of the prior resto that occupied this space but it feels same-same but different. They're not able to serve alcohol yet so your options are soda or water. We ordered to share: Malatang. Oh, so good! So spicy! I will definitely order this again after we try the other items on the menu. Bonus: their rice is really tasty! Sometimes rice is just rice. Other times, restos serve really good rice. This is one! Guo Bao Rou. It's basically breaded and fried pork loin. It's not overly flavorful. There's a sweet sauce drizzled over the top. I am not sure if it was honey. However, we found it somewhat addicting. I wish they had more smaller, crunchy pieces mixed in with the regular pieces. I tend to look for crunchy bits! I had a great experience overall at Atto. I arrived around 7pm on a Saturday and there were not many customers around, maybe 1 or 2 other groups, but I suppose that could change in the future once this restaurant gains more traction! The decor is home-y but tasteful, I enjoyed seeing a lot of potted plants around and everything is organized so neatly! I noticed that the chairs were either cushioned or had pretty thick sturdy floor cushions on them to make sitting and eating comfortable for customers. That's an A+ consideration. I was able to try the fried chicken and the ribs. I think overall, I liked the ribs better than the chicken. True to the name, the ribs were pretty garlicky and tasted like soy sauce but were not very saucy, and they were extremely tender. The fried chicken was good, but I had hoped for better. The sauce is very sticky and mild. I wish there had been a little more spice. The chicken seems to be a mix of breast and leg meat. I seem to have mostly gotten pieces of chicken breast, which were pretty dry, but the dark meat pieces were very good. I believe another review noted that the restaurant is clean, including its bathroom, and I can vouch for this. The bathroom is a little small because it looks like it might have been a storage area that was repurposed, but it is still nicely put together and has everything one might need in there. read more

Delicious!!! We ordered for pick up & can say their decor efforts are quite adorable & reminiscent of a small restaurant in Korea. Service was prompt since no one else was there when we picked up & they just opened for the night. We got the (dakgangjeong) chicken & mala xiang guo. The chicken came w/ delicious fresh crunchy seasoned fries. Chicken was perfectly seasoned w/ the sweetness & savory garlic. The mala Xiang guo was a perfect medium if you're wanting malatang but dry version. Packs a punch w/ the numbness. Sadly, not much meat ratio, but would totally recommend adding the glass noodles for extra fun chewy carbs. Both dishes were really yummy. Only downsides were that the mala liquids/oil was leaking out the to go brown box & all inside the plastic bag, so we had to leave it in there to avoid any additional mess. The other is that prices are pretty high but it's pub style food meant for sharing so the portions sort of justify it. These two dishes could probably feed 4 adults. Parking is also easy since they own the whole lot. I can see this being a solid spot for a group of friends catching up for drinks & delicious food/alcohol pairings. Excited to try the other dishes. Previous restaurants here didn't last long (guessing it's the random placement) but I sincerely hope they do well & make themselves a staple in Gardena. read more

I took my family here for my mom's birthday with never trying it previously and we will definitely be coming back! I didn't really pay attention to size and I went in for lunch by myself lol...had to take most of it home cuz it was HUGE. It's intended to be shared with 2-3 people unless you can EAT lol. Dishes are a bit pricey ($19-39) but again they are intended to be shared. The malatang was SOOOO good and spicy! Hard to find legit spicy stuff in this area, especially w the mala spice.
