This is the type of bar you find up and down Duval Street in Key West. Two guys on stage playing…read moreclassic rock tunes. The circle bar was packed with the echoes of laughter as we entered. Beer placards affixed to the walls with an out of place five foot tall orange gorilla holding a huge bottle of Dom Perignon over his head. No reservations permitted but got seated immediately. This is the place to go for a cheap happy hour and big hamburgers. Ordered the Big Smokey Bacon Burger with well done onion rings. I must say, the burger was absolutely delicious and the cold craft beer complemented it perfectly. The gender neutral bathroom was clean and fit the dive bar mold with an array of stickers covering the paper towel dispensor with black chalk boards wrapped around the walls. Lots of strange chalk designs but could not find the piece of chalk to leave my mark. For some odd reason half the toilet paper case was on the floor. The gray porcelain floor and wall tiles gave the shabby room a modern twist. Fun place with great burgers and an attitude.

I found Johnnie Brown's online, well before I ever decided to move to Florida. It looked like the…read morekind of place that I would have dreamt to hang out at. An old school retro american motorcycle/live music venue minutes from the beach. And I bet you it was. Before that billion dollar corporation had purchased it. Mind you, with all that money --they can't manage to put a lock on their bathroom door or keep their toilet paper full. Most of the bands are semi karaoke with the backup musicians all pretending to play. Don't take my word for it, just watch for a couple seconds, and you'll figure it out. Double roads and funky biscuit and many other music venues around this neighborhood, between Boca and Jupiter, have actual bands playing actual musical instruments. So if you're interested in that, you might want to go elsewhere. I don't really come here for the music. I sort of come here too just watch the interesting array of characters that pop inside. And just to relax while having a drink. The music is OK though. I guess it's better than just listening to TouchTunes. And some of the Fake musicians do put on a good show. The biggest problem with the spot is the attitude of the bartenders. I'm not saying that they're bad people. But they're really not happy. And the odd thing is, having lived in Santa Barbara and many other beach towns, it's a rare thing to live in such a beautiful place or working in one at least, and be so pissed off. Particularly when you're young. So I don't know what their problem is, but I think whoever owns this place should take them on a field trip or something. Maybe buy them a new watch or a car or whatever. Still, there are exceptions. And it's not a bad place if you're going be in tourist trap Delray. Which I would avoid in general. Regarding food: it's gone super downhill. So they really need a new chef and likely a new menu,

The restaurant kind of feels like a bunch of different living rooms inside and out which makes it feel super comfortable and enjoyable! It was some sort of restaurant week so all 6 of us got the 3 course meal and we were all so full! I loved the dates appetizer, but the salmon entree was probably my favorite part! It was cooked perfectly. The banana bread dessert was very good too. We also split a crab cake and I would definitely order that again! Our server was so kind and made the experience great.

Oh my bacon wrapped dates! Do not skip these! This was hands down the best part of my meal!…read more The pork schnitzel was also so great. It was juicy and tender. The onions were cooked perfect. The portion was huge so I got two meals out of it. The dessert was a little meh but not bad. I got the brownie and I wish it was served warm. I knocked one star because the service was not where it should have been. Despite the hostess telling me that this was NOT a busy night, we had to wait ten minutes to just get water glasses because there were no clean ones. I felt bad that our waitress seemed so overwhelmed. For a Saturday night during flavor palm beach, I would have expected the restaurant to be more prepared for the number of diners. Despite all of this, I'm still thinking about the food and how much I want to go back. Reservations are a must. Sitting outside is a little tough when it's so hot and buggy out. I wish they would have fans running or citronella candles. Inside is surprisingly large. There are four different dining rooms and each have a bit of a different vibe.

If you are looking for the quintessential Boynton Beach dining experience, Two Georges Waterfront…read moreGrille is absolute perfection. Tucked right on the Intracoastal Waterway, this local staple delivers on every front: incredible views, fantastic drinks, and top-tier seafood.  The Atmosphere: You can't beat the location. Sitting under the thatch roof, sipping a cold drink, and watching the boats glide by encapsulates the ultimate laid-back Florida lifestyle. It's vibrant, breezy, and effortlessly fun--complete with great live music and the classic bonus of watching people feed the catfish off the docks!  The Food: Everything we ordered was packed with flavor. The Maryland Crab Cakes and the fresh local seafood are absolute standouts, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Don't skip out on an appetizer like their fresh fish dip or conch fritters, and make sure you save room for a slice of their house-made Key Lime Pie to finish the meal.  The Service: Despite being a busy waterfront hotspot, the staff is welcoming, attentive, and keeps the tropical cocktails flowing. Whether you're coming in by car or pulling right up to their dock slips by boat, Two Georges is everything a waterfront restaurant should be.

The beer was warm and the ambience was annoying because people kept throwing food into the water to feed the fish and the fish would flop around. I literally took maybe one bite of the sandwich and one or two of the oysters mentioned it to the waiter and he did not offer to remove it from the bill, should've insisted, but just was not in the mood for more stress. go right across the water to banana boat much better.
