So after searching for a company to duplicate my key I was led to their site. Since I had an encrypted key nobody really knew how to duplicate it locally. These guys claimed they could do it. I did some searches online and they seemed legit even offering insurance on lost keys so I sent in my key and not even a week later I got my order back. It really couldn't have been easier. I got my card back quickly and it works perfectly. I also love the fact that they have stored the data from the card so I can order copies in the future without having to send the card back in. I do, however, have two complaints (for which I knocked off a star, although I would have only knocked off 1/2 a star if I could have because I think they are really only minor complaints): (1) the card comes with their name emblazoned on it. For those of us who do not want to advertise that our card has been cloned, this is a problem. I did not appreciate their wanting $4.99 to remove the logo. I really don't like having to pay NOT to advertise for them. In the end, I didn't pay the fee because I figured a way around it but it still annoys me. (2) At $29.99, the price just to clone one card is a bit steep. I suppose, the fact that I still paid it means that it was not too steep but I would still have preferred to pay about half that (of course, free would have been better!) I needed an extra key because I am having a surgery and my younger sister will be coming to check on me. My apartment wouldn't give me an extra key because she's 18 & was not a lease holder. So annoying. Although I have a certain type of key, I had to send it off, I got it back in a week. I was a little hesitant at first having to leave my door unlocked but everything worked out. I sent my key fob and within a few days received my copies back. My original key came back broken I believe due to my own fault and when I emailed Clone, they were more than willing to give me a clone replacement at a huge discount but I didn't take them up on the offer due to the clones working just as good. Again, I believe it was me that broke the original but the very fact that clonemykey was so responsive and willing to help me in any way, I felt happy that their customer service was so good. I recently moved into a new apartment and found out out only one Fob is issued per resident. Bryan may be the nicest customer service manager I've ever spoken to. He answered all my questions and even told me what kind of key I had and the process copying it would entail before I purchased his service. USPS delivered the key on 6/15/2015 at 2:55PM and CloneMyKey cloned it and shipped everything back to me 6/15/2015 at 4:07PM. I did pay for rush processing but I didn't expect it to be only an hour; it was a reasonable fee in context to the cost of 1-day shipping via USPS. I'll be able to return to my apartment complex with two spare keys and my original. This could not have gone any better. I will always send my keys for cloning to this company in the future. On another note: It may seem expensive for CloneMyKey's service at first, but check with your landlord and you'll likely be greeted with fees as high as 375 dollars (what mine was). Great service!!! I had a key fob for my son's apartment duplicated by CloneMyKey. His key fob is used to open the entry door, apartment door, garage door as well as for using the elevator. At first, the duplicate key fob didn't work. Upon learning of this problem, Bryan took care of this issue and worked on solving the problem. After asking a couple of questions, he sent me one key fob and one key card to be tried. The key card was working, while the key fob wasn't. The site advertises replacement fobs with logos and provides you a choice of color. I did select such options but was not informed that they no longer keep in stock such items although still advertised. This was told me into writing after receiving the wrong merchandise and after inquiring about it. The company only offers reimbursement of returned items but not for the shipping costs involved in sending the fob. Advertising items that are (quote)"being phased out.." should not be tolerated. Basically, if you are sent a different item, you will find out after transaction is completed and won't be able to recover your shipping costs so they are lost. You take your chances.
