They came quickly got the key fab programmed , friendly and efficient and I was back up and driving . T

We had all three doors of our old, renovated house rekeyed when we moved in four years ago and were having continuing issues with all of them. Finally, the front door broke making it impossible to unlock it from both inside and out. We called the company that originally installed the locks but found out they no longer service residential homes. However, they gave us a couple of recommendations, and we feel extremely fortunate that the Lock Doc was the first to get back to us. Bill came within 35 minutes to take a look at our problems and went right to work! Within an hour and a half, he had every lock working beautifully! We were impressed and amazed at the skill, expertise and knowledge Bill had and shared with us. In the end the big problem was the door strike plates all needed adjusting and no new locks were necessary! He was totally up front, honest and reasonably priced. Now we can lock the door with one finger....no tugging or holding the door in anymore! He made sure we understood that was how the lock is supposed to function, and if it doesn't to call him back right away so as to prevent further destruction of the lock. What a fantastic businessman and just a great guy! I highly recommend The Lock Doc if you're experiencing lock problems or just want new locks! Dawn Egan read more

It just needed a squirt of lubricant. Resolved over the phone. Thank you for your expertise and professionalism!

Loc Doc came out to my new house and installed 3 new dead bolts for a fair price and with a 1 year warranty. He came the same day I called, arriving when he said he would, carrying a dustpan and broom! I like it when people respect that I try to keep a clean and tidy house. He did the job on a 95 degree day quickly and efficiently, took all the trash with him to recycle and swept up all of the wood dust. I highly recommend Loc Doc! If you are nice -he may even share his favorite fishing spots! read more

This was an amazing service. I was very stupid and got my car locked while running and me not on the good side of the door. I called this number and spoke with Bill Lehr, the owner, and received a knowledgeable and professional customer service on the phone. The promptness of this service was excellent, though I might have been lucky because I can see this man being in popular demand. From finding out I was locked out to driving away in my opened car, 25 min. Price was more reasonable than I expected for such service, and was delivered professionally and promptly. I've made copies of his card to keep in all the places I'll have access to when I get locked out of something again. I recommend this service to all readers. read more

We needed to rekey our house after moving. His pricing is straightforward, and he was upfront about additional charges as soon as they were discovered (I wasn't clear about what types of locks we were replacing the deadbolts with [the keypad ones cost more to rekey] and we had an issue installing one that he fixed]. His pricing is extremely reasonable, and there was no trip charge. He also made a lot of little fixes throughout the process to help our doors latch better and locks last longer, and he didn't charge for any of them. I highly recommend. read more

We recently hired Lock Doc to repair or replace a broken door knob in our home. The business owner, Bill, scheduled the repair within a few days. He asked relevant questions about the door knob and provided a most reasonable estimate. When he arrived at our home he explained the new hardware, which was very nice quality, and completed the the replacement quickly and efficiently. The cost of the replacement was exactly as estimated. Bill at Lock Doc runs a very professional and reliable business. I absolutely recommend his business....so nice to receive quality service at reasonable price!!! read more

Bill was easy to schedule with, on time and really professional. I hired him to rekey my locks. During his visit he told me about digital deadbolts (but didn't pressure me to install one). I decided to go with a digital deadbolt and love it. He made sure I knew how to use it and the important features. Also, my front door really didn't close properly, and he changed out the jam so it didn't damage the lock in the long term. He really went above and beyond. Prices were reasonable. read more

Excellent customer service. I had a minor problem with a mechanical door lock. They came out within day and fixed the problem with my door strike plate. I appreciate their customer service. Thank you! read more

We got locked out of our house, and The Lock Doc happened to be the first locksmith that popped up in our search. Within 45 minutes Bill had arrived and got us into our home, with no damage to the door/lock. The cost was a bit more than you would expect for a 5-minute lock-picking, but Bill's professionalism and timeliness in getting to our home made it well worth it. He recommended changing our locks to digital locks, which was very relevant and offered to install them for us. We will use Bill/Lock Doc again should we need him in the future! read more

Very responsive, putting me on the schedule the very next day. Bill had all the right equipment and products to flex to my needs, he took time to explain things and gave me options. Overall an honest and fair shop. read more

I can't recommend The LockDoc enough. He was extremely prompt, responsive and professional. The quote he gave over the phone was the exact cost. If you need any lock smith services, this is your guy! read more

I promised the proprietor of this wonderful business that I would write a recommendation, on account for the excellent, almost selfless help that he offered to me after I locked myself out of my car during a rather large snowfall. Bill, the owner, was extremely courteous and helpful over the telephone and made things run crisply, as I am not a Madison native and was weary of the other so-called great locksmiths of Madison. Really, every other company I telephoned was just all talk. Only Bill took the initiative to meet me in less than a half hour from the time I telephoned. Although Bill was presumably mad because of the recent Packers' loss, you could not tell at all from his demeanor. I owe very much to this gentlemen and could not be happier for his help during a very cold time of the year. Thanks Bill. I hope that reviewers take note of this review and that they can read between the lines and hire a really good locksmith who takes care of his clients as though they are family members. Karma is good. He helped me during my time of need and I earnestly hope that I can help Bill as a return of favor. read more

Professional, helpful, and fast. Our deadbolt was broken and he clearly explained what was wrong (the builders installed it incorrectly) and gave us some home safety advice. This guy knows what he's doing. Reasonably priced. read more

Bill is awesome and I highly recommend him. I accidentally locked my keys in the car and Bill reached the scene quickly and rescued my keys from the car. He charge fairly and not astronomically high just because its after hours. read more

I bought a keypad deadbolt that looked to be an easy task to install. However when I removed the old lock, I found I needed a bigger hole drilled in my steel entry door. I tried a hole saw and basic jig, but the bit moved around and I was worried I would damage an expensive door. I called Bill up and was comforted to know he has done thousands of these and was able to make it over the next day. Bill was prompt, very professional, and not only drilled the hole but also installed the unit and walked me through its operation. Prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend Bill to anyone looking for a locksmith. read more

Fast, efficient and helpful. Not only did he replace my locks but he secured my window after my break-in. Highly recommend.
