They are also very accommodating which is almost never in a the dentists I've been to in the past 20yrs. I've called all around the 626 for prices on teeth cleaning, checkup x-rays for pre orthotics for my 15yo, and Huntington Smiles had the best price by far. It was only $79 as a package, others were asking $150-350. They also do implants, so I'll be making my appointment for a consultation very soon. I hope their prices are similarly, relatively good.

Since I had my initial cleaning with a different dentistry office, I forwarded him their findings. Before he dived in, he did a quick re-exam to see if he agreed with their findings. He let me know that he agreed and got to work on redoing 2 fillings and my deep cleaning. During the procedure, he told me that he noticed some residual from my Invisalign (that I had done about 9 years ago!!) and he polished it off. How did my previous dentists throughout the years not notice?? With my kids, he had my son (8) take x-rays with his assistant while he cleaned my daughter's (4) teeth. He was so loving with words of encouragement on how well she was doing. He let her choose the flavor of the toothpaste. Once he was done with her, he moved to the next room with my son and did his cleaning. He finished both within 1 hour. Soooo efficient! I can't recommend SGV Dentistry enough!

Usually she can put me on a waiting list and call a day before to confirm, but this time she said I had to call to confirm. This is fine but I questioned why she couldn't call as usual, and she just gave a non-answer ending with "whatever". I couldn't believe the disrespect! Edna has never apologized for the inconvenience (even in the past), knowing that it's usually very difficult to reschedule. Appointments can be weeks to months out (there is only one hygienist left). Anyway I'll miss having Dr. Chu as my dentist but I won't tolerate anymore the attitude Edna has displayed toward me the past few years. Good luck

Let me start by saying the doctors and most of the staff here are friendly and professional except for one person: Maria, the one who handles treatment plan quotes. Please make sure you fully understand your consultation with the doctor before speaking with her, because she will try to upsell you and quote you incorrectly. She does not listen, nor does she try to understand what the doctor actually recommended. She bases all her pricing on her own assumptions and the pre consultation notes, even when the treatment plan clearly changes after speaking with the doctor. When I asked her why the pricing was a certain way, she wouldn't answer the actual question and just kept repeating her version. I eventually had to ask her to bring the doctor in so she could understand the real treatment plan. Only then was she able to quote us correctly. There were even additional treatment options the doctor mentioned, but she never acknowledged them until she explained it herself. It's disappointing because the doctors here are great, but every interaction with Maria has been frustrating, dismissive, and inaccurate. I hope management addresses this, because patients deserve proper communication and correct information, not pressure, upselling, or assumptions.
