PLEASE READ: Do NOT believe these 5-star reviews. I genuinely don't know where they're coming from. I scheduled an appointment for a routine cleaning, X-rays, and to confirm whether I had a cavity on one wisdom tooth--something my previous dentist would typically complete in under an hour. Instead, the visit lasted approximately 2.5 hours. A significant amount of time was spent on X-rays and a very slow cleaning before I saw the dentist for only about 15 minutes. While the X-ray assistant and hygienist were professional and kind, the appointment felt unnecessarily drawn out. When I finally saw the dentist, the focus quickly shifted to recommending PRF with wisdom teeth removal, and additional treatments such as Invisalign and inlays that had never been suggested by any of my previous providers. My original question--whether I had a cavity--wasn't even clearly addressed until I asked directly, at which point I was told, "yes, but it's small," with minimal explanation. At checkout, I was informed that although my insurance would cover most of the wisdom tooth extractions, this office requires PRF at a cost of $729 PER TOOTH, completely out of pocket. When I explained that I did not want PRF because of the cost and asked to proceed with the extractions without it, I was told they would not perform them unless I paid for PRF. I ultimately went to an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for a second opinion and had my wisdom teeth removed there instead. After insurance, my total cost was only $400 for 3 wisdom teeth removal. I specifically asked the surgeon about PRF, and he told me that I absolutely did not need it for my case. That made my experience at this office even more concerning. To be clear, PRF may be appropriate or beneficial in certain cases. My issue is with an office requiring a costly elective add-on as a condition of performing an otherwise covered procedure, particularly when the specialist I subsequently saw did not believe it was necessary in my case. While the staff was courteous and the facility is modern, the inefficiency, lack of transparency, pressure toward additional treatments, and overall sales-driven approach left me extremely uncomfortable. I've been coming here for a year now and recently removed all four of my wisdom teeth (finally!!!). The procedure was painless and I felt nothing after receiving local anesthesia. Dr. Park will continue checking in to see if you're feeling discomfort/pain and he'll give you more local anesthesia if needed. For wisdom teeth removals, he does draw your blood to use your plasma (PRF) for expedited/smooth healing and to reduce the possibility of dry sockets and swelling. I was hesitant on doing it because it is extra $ but after speaking with him, I did end up doing it. Healing was so fast and painless, and I was eating solid foods after 3 days. He did recommend extracting two teeth at a time so I removed my left side first, waited 3 weeks to heal, and then removed the right side. All his staff are always friendly and welcoming and I haven't had a bad experience here (and I have always hated the dentist haha). I came here for a regular check-up and cleaning, and accidentally found the best dental office in the 626! The practice space is extremely clean and modern. They have all of the up-to-date technologies to provide the best dental care. Every patient room is equipped with a large TV right in front so that you can look at your own x-rays and images of your teeth. When you lie down for your service, they also have a TV mounted on the ceiling so you can watch Netflix while they clean your teeth. The staff is amazing as well. After I emailed to clarify the original agreement, I was offered a reduced 3% discount with new conditions requiring cash payment and payment one week before the procedure. The repeated changes to the pricing and discount terms were frustrating and undermined my trust in the office's billing practices. Returned for a routine cleaning. Service was still pretty good with more staff this time around. There was a hygienist who actually conducted the cleaning compared to last time when Dr. Park did it. She was efficient and occasionally checked if I was doing okay. I would say she's mostly gentle but the gums around my back molar are sore afterwards so that is something to note. They took xrays before the cleaning. Dr. Park came in after to go over the xrays but he seemed to be in rush, not as attentive compared to the first time. Overall, cleaning was decent. I recently had a cracked tooth that split completely in half and needed to be extracted and have a dental implant put in place. The root for this tooth was a little curved so it wasn't an easy extraction and another dentist had told me I needed to see an oral surgeon. On top of this, I needed to get a sinus lift as well because there wasn't enough bone and room for the implant to go in. Further complicating things, I have an upcoming trip to Asia in a few days and will be gone for 2 weeks. Called several oral surgeons who weren't available to extract the tooth until after my trip and I was getting worried as I didn't want to be in Asia and have the tooth become infected as it would have been a pain to deal with out there and it's also questionable how good the dentists are out there. Also, if I only got the tooth extracted in Asia, I wasn't sure how the process afterwards would be. My wife found Camellia Dentistry and was able to get me in quickly for a consultation. I met with Dr. Park and he told me he would be able to do everything: the extraction, sinus lift, and implant all in one day. He was also able to squeeze me in just 2 days after my consultation which I was thrilled to be able to get this all done before my trip. I had the procedure done today and it all went well. Super thankful that it's done and I won't have to worry about it nearly as much now when I am on my trip. This also sped up the timeline for the whole process by several weeks. I've been a patient of Dr. Park's for the past five years, and I can confidently say he is an exceptional dentist. This office accepts dental insurance, but they also offer a membership plan for patients without insurance at $399/year. According to the staff, once you enroll, dental procedure prices are reduced by a certain percentage from their standard out-of-pocket rates. I had never heard of something like this before and thought it was a very cool and helpful option. I also found their regular pricing (without insurance or membership) to be in line with many other American dental offices in the area. His new office is beautiful, modern, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. From the personalized greeting on the screen as you enter the treatment room to the ceiling-mounted TVs that help you relax during procedures, every detail has been carefully considered.
