I found myself at Clinton Hall for a colleague's going away gathering. I'm somewhat familiar with this spot as they have several other locations, including one in the Bronx which is the one I had been to previously. It's been several years though, so I was looking forward to re-discovering this spot. This specific Clinton Hall location is located on 36th between 5th and 6th. Walking in, I was greeted by a large open space - it has a modern aesthetic with high ceilings, a dark color scheme, and rows of benches where you can sit. There are also a few games along the back wall which add to the overall play aesthetic; the bar on the left wall completes the look. The menu mostly consists of casual fare and bites; they have an good drink selection as well. We noticed a small cocktail menu at the tables, so we decided to primarily look there. We had a few rounds - all the cocktails were pretty good and fit well with the season. We also decided to get a few bites - we noticed they had $8 apps for happy hour and went with their Korean fried chicken tender and the mozz sticks. The tenders were good - crispy and paired with two sauces. The mozz sticks were pretty good - not as unique but they were fried well and had a decent cheese pull. Service was great - drinks and food were served promptly and everyone was friendly. Overall, I had a great time at Clinton Hall - they provided a fun, comfortable environment to connect with my colleagues outside the office with good food and drinks. I wouldn't hesitate to return here for another event or on my own with friends.
Stopped in for the lunch special. I cannot believe the quality of the cheeseburger I received for just $10. The burger was fresh ground beef, I could tell because of how soft the patty is. Cooked perfectly with caramelized onions and melted cheddar cheese. Often when a burger comes on a pretzel roll, the role is on the harder side and is very dough-ey. Not here. Nice soft fresh pretzel roll. And it didn't overpower the beef at all. Excellent, friendly service and food arrived promptly. Bar and restaurant is clean and well kept. After this experience, I won't consider this place primarily a bar. Their food game is too good.
Came by for a friend of a friend's birthday. There was a large group of us, about 20, and we were easily accommodated. Friends ordered the mozzarella tower and they were good. They also ordered pizza and they liked it, too. Since we were here for a birthday they brought out a slice of cake, ice cream, waffle cones, and candy! They also have a pool table styled mini golf. We had a good time!
It was my first time going here for a watch party. It was a sports event for the next. I went with a couple of friends, and my cousin and the ambience was very lively, which was great. The service the bartender Mo I had he was very attentive very nice very polite and the drinks that he was making were on point the food was good. The wind could've been a little bit better. I had better wings, but I had these Tex-Mex salad. Amazing. Amazing something if I go there again I will have again the DJ was pumping nice music at everybody dancing watching the game. It was a really good time.
Visited on a Saturday afternoon and were the only guests at the venue. This place has shelves stacked with board games, which will keep all different parties entertained. My party played connect 4 while we waited for our food. I ordered the strawberry margarita. It was flavorful, but a bit light on the alcohol. We also ordered: CH Classic Burger (3.5/5) - a clean tasting burger that reminded me a bit of an in and out burger. Buffalo wings (2/5) - meaty but lacked the sauciness and flavor Overall, the atmosphere was enjoyable and would recommend if you're looking for a casual spot to eat and hang.
Came here a few days ago for a casual gathering and it was a good pick! The venue is quite large and had tables available when we were there. Granted, we were there on a rainy Tuesday night before a holiday so maybe less customer traffic than usual - but ideal for our group of 10-15 to hang! Regarding food, there's plenty of options on the menu and I would say better than your average bar's food items. I would recommend the Korean fried chicken sandwich and onion rings but I think you can't really go wrong with most fried item choices. We didn't get to take advantage of the vast board game selection but I feel like this would be a great last minute place to hang especially if you have a large group.
Came here for a quick meal after Broadway. Menu is very small but packs a punch. Service is counter walk-up and the building feels like a sports bar. 10$ 16 ounce beers feel like a steal in the city, but I wish service matched what this place is trying to be.
The food and drinks here are fine. I do appreciate that its not a super loud sports bar so ai didn't have to shout to hold a conversation. I got the donut grilled cheese cause it seemed interesting. It's not bad but not as crazy as I was expecting
Fun place to go after work! Good for happy hour and gathering, lots of space, great deal's and friendly staff! Book ahead of time if you have a large party
I visited this restaurant with my coworkers, and it has a lovely setting. There are several different seating options available. Service was very accommodating and patient. Takes a bit of a while for the food to come since it's made fresh and hot. Their classic burger and waffle fries were very delicious. Fries are nice and crunchy. Ordered a Moscow mule as well, tastes like a ginger ale but with vodka. It's so delicious. The donughts they had were also yummy, I was surprised to see that they had Nutella, Caramal, and a Red Jam in a squeeze tube.
My wifey and I have been to a few other Clinton Hall's, and once again, they didn't disappoint at this location! Loved the ambiance, which has their familiar family-friendly gaming feel. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. Their brunch items were delicious! My wife chose the best menu item over all IMO: Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich. I had their staple Double Smashed Burger which was cooked to my liking, and delectable! Their tots and fries were crisped and seasoned just right! What I also really enjoyed about this location is that it wasn't as loud and busy as some of their other locations; which isn't bad, it was just that this place had a calm, low-noise level ambiance to it, for a relaxed meal that we were in the mood for! I totally recommend Clinton Hall! We'll be back when in the area!
Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon w friends; I had the double smashed burger, one friend had the classic burger and another had the crunchy Caesar salad with chicken, and we shared a side of fries. Excellent food- no complaints! Decent selection of beers on draft- they've got something for everyone! We played a couple of rounds of Jenga while catching up on life. Large space with variable seating options, it wasn't too busy for the 4-5 hrs we were there, I can imagine it getting packed when certain sports games are showing. Staff were attentive. It's a nice place to hang with friends for a few hours, but I imagine it might be harder to hear yourself or others during busier times.
This restaurant was so much fun! On a street with at least 10 other very cool restaurants, this place was perfect for my group of friends! A crowd pleasing menu with a ton of great options, even 2 varieties of cauliflower pizza crust pie which was SO good! We chose to share the white pizza with nachos + chicken and the Philly cheesesteak sliders. It was plenty of food for the 3 of us and it came out incredibly fast! Our waiter was very helpful and always came back to refill our carafe of water. They had music bingo on the night we went, which was so much fun! We didn't win, but it was a great activity. They have other games like table jenga, connect four and skeeball in the back! I definitely will be coming back with my little one! read more

I'd been wanting to try this place for a while! The grilled cheese suspended over a pot of tomato soup had me intrigued. There are a couple of locations, but I knew I'd be in the area of this one, so I made a 5 pm reservation. The reservation process was easy, and when I arrived (slightly behind schedule), it was no problem. Our servers were patient and friendly throughout the meal. They offer picnic-style tables, high-tops, and bar seating. We were seated in a little side area near some lawn games, and there were plenty of outlets for my friends' dying phones. Our table even had a Jenga tower already set up, with random sayings and prompts written on the blocks, which was a fun touch. I ordered water and what I'd been waiting for: the doughnut grilled cheese and tomato soup. It comes with a side, and I chose the onion rings. My friends ordered the kale chicken salad and the chicken sandwich. Both looked great, and they enjoyed their meals. The grilled cheese hanging over the little yellow pot was adorable and incredibly cheesy. The soup was thick and flavorful. My only complaint was that neither the grilled cheese nor the soup was very hot. That said, the cheese pull was wild, and when all that cheese fell into the soup? Delicious. The onion were were big and crispy. I know some reviews mention the prices, but I thought they were reasonable for the amount of food. We all had leftovers. I'd definitely come back for a fun night of board games, table games, or even a watch party. read more

We wandered in to watch the US women's national soccer game while visiting town. There were I my 4 other people there when we entered. We sat at the bar. The staff was welcoming and friendly. They let me try a few beers before I decided on the one for me. They had a lot of different games in the restaurant/ bar you could play and multiple TVs so it was perfect for what we were looking for. We had the donut grilled cheese and soup and the burger. Both were delicious. read more
We stopped by Clinton Hall this weekend for brunch and got their bottomless brunch special - $19.99 with purchase of an entree. Loved the pancakes, French toast sticks & eggs Benedict. They also have an amazing waffle cake tower that's perfect for birthdays. They also have shelves of board games to choose. They have 4 locations so we plan on checking out the other 3 soon. read more

This place is so spacious, great for team building activities since they are loaded with games. From board games, foosball, skee ball to darts, and vintage arcade games, you're sure to have a great time. The music took me down memory lane with all the throwbacks. I also loved that they had a photo booth. The staff were friendly, food was tasty and the portions were generous. I would absolutely come back with a larger crowd. This is def a great place to also watch the game while indulging in their large selection of beer. read more
This place is going on my must do in NYC list! Good food(highly recommend the Doughnut Grilled Cheese) and a fun ambiance. Play some games with some friends. This place just feels happy. And of coarse the drinks are solid too. I'm already planning on returning to try the Birthday Cake WTF Waffle. I need to bring reinforcements. read more

The concept only works if the staff is on board and ready to serve. It's obvious the staff hates this place. The vibe in the place reflects the attitude of the management and staff. They don't have ping pong any more, either. It won't be around much longer. read more

Came to celebrate friends 50th I picked this place because of the fun games to play. We had an amazing time. Thank you management for an affordable lunch in NYC. Came here for the first time 2 years ago and had the absolute best fondue burger, we just had to come back for it. The result was extremely disappointing by the comparison. First photo was 2025, second was 2023. Easy to see how much smaller the burger is and how little fondue you receive. This visit completely destroyed the fantastic experience we were once given. I understand the impact of inflation and whatnot, but at the very least they should charge more for the burger to have the same amazing experience it once gave. read more

Came by Clinton Hall with friends for the Ravens game and had a great time. Got a seat at the bar right in front of the tv so it was great. I'll have to come by again to try the food. Loud music in the background during the game. I would have preferred to hear the game itself but this wouldn't stop me from coming back. Fun Bar! read more
Clinton hall is all over and this is one of the many I've been to from the city to Brooklyn. Decided to grab a bite with mom as it was close by and has simple items that my mom would enjoy. This place is known for beer drinks and playing games with friends. My mom thought it was cute and enjoyed her food of wings as she hasn't been out in awhile. It was pretty chill on a Friday late afternoon. We were served Timothy but our waiter disappeared and we had to flag someone else for napkins and utensils. Ther serving size was great and drinks did justice. I've also been here in a pulsed brunch deal which was great and worth it with unlimited drinks. Definitely a quick pace to come to and bit on the pricey side but portions and locations makes sense. read more

This is my second check-in to this place, and I've gone to their other location as well. All of their locations are similar in that they have the same type of layout and seating, drink selections, board games, and food. I came here for a work outing/ social event. It's good for that kind of event as it breaks the ice. There's Jenga, connect four and other games. I haven't really stayed here that late before, so I'm not sure how it is later on. But the vibe isn't bad during the day. read more
Great beer hall spot to hit up with a group of friends! I came here with a group of about 7 people and the space is just great for a group since they have those long bench seatings that can fit many people. The beer and drinks selection is great. I loved the sour beer that I got. I also really like how they have different games like Jenga and UNO available that you can play with friends. Although the drinks were great, I probably wouldn't get the food. I got the chicken souvlaki and I didn't not like it at all since the dish was kind of cold when it arrived and generally lacked in flavor. read more
I came here to meet with up with a group to celebrate one of my friends' birthday. The place was spacious and comfortable, with all sorts of games, such as Jenga, Connect 4, Uno, Foosball, and a cool lit up life size Chess board. There was also a pretty varied menu, and we ended up having the fried calamari and chicken nachos to share. The fried calamari was unique and slightly elevated, as it contained bonita flakes, black and white sesame seeds, crunchy jalapeños, along with yuzu aioli. I stayed away from the jalapeños because I have low tolerance to spicy foods. The calamari itself were shaped in little rings, which were perfectly crispy and very tasty. The nachos were loaded with melted queso, cherry peppers, pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole. There was an ample amount of tender, well seasoned grilled chicken distributed throughout. All the ingredients worked together to create mouthwatering bites. For my main course, I ordered the Bacon Bacon Bacon Burger, which was served with fries. The burger was on the smaller side, but expertly cooked and still satisfyingly filling. The burger came with half bacon and half beef patty, candied Nueske's bacon, and finally, tomato bacon jam. In addition to all that, there was delightfully melty Gouda cheese and watercress. The star of the meal was that candied bacon... Wonderfully crunchy, just the right amount of sweetness, and an explosion of flavor. The meat was also amazingly succulent and juicy, while the bacon jam tied everything up nicely. There were plenty of yummy skinny fries, which were kind of addicting. Of course, we wanted to get the extravagant Birthday Cake Waffle dessert, which was supposed to be $25. We were informed it would take awhile to create, and later were told due to demand, they wouldn't be able to make it for us, so the manager let us choose another dessert at no charge. Imagine our surprise when we were indeed served the Birthday Cake Waffle with a lit up sparkler, consisting of Fruit Loops waffles, topped with a slice of rainbow cake / lollipops and Fruit Loops ice cream with an ube cone. As a base and in between the waffles was frosting overflowing with Lucky Charms marshmallows, edible confetti, as well as Fruit Loops. This was quite an impressive and colorful display. I enjoyed the rainbow cake, which was moist with deliciously creamy smooth white frosting. The Fruit Loops ice cream was also good - Milky and incredibly sweet in a good way. The Fruit Loops waffles were decent, but didn't taste that strongly of the cereal. The rest of it was overly sweet. The staff also brought out 2 additional desserts: Churro Ice Cream Sundae and a trio of Ice Cream Sandwiches. The Churro Sundae came with horchata ice cream, which was a lovely blend of milk with cinnamon. The churros were also pretty good and still warm, with a generous dusting of cinnamony sugar. I wasn't that impressed with the ice cream sandwiches though. The cookies were kind of dry and bland, while the ice cream inside tasted plain. Service was excellent throughout. The staff were friendly, patient, and on top of everything - even the confusion with the dessert, was resolved with grace. Overall, we had a fun night out and it is a fantastic place to bring a group, small or large. I would definitely be happy to return! read more
I've come to Clinton Hall 3 times now, and I think it's great for a work happy hour, and others clearly agree. After 5:30pm, the place is regularly packed with finance and tech bros dressed in corporate attire. Somehow, I've still never had to wait too long to get in! They have a large selection (20+) of craft beers, and provide a brief description of each one to help you decide. There's also a small cocktail menu. Drinks are reasonably priced, food is standard bar food, and there's lots of games and activities around the large space. Overall, it can get kind of loud, but it's definitely an active space, great for a casual time. Their nachos and pizza are solid vegetarian options as well! read more

Ask the Community - Clinton Hall
Is it kid friendly, do they have a kids menu?
I just called the 36th St location. They said kids are not allowed after 6pm.
Whats the Happy Hour pricing like?
$6 beers (only a few of them), $7 wells and $8 wines
How loud does it get? It's hard for me to hear in really club-like situations, and I'd like to be able to chat with friends without screaming.
Like most places frequented by young people, this bar can get loud when it's crowded and especially when there is a live DJ. You can sit near the windows or go when it's not crowded if you're looking for a quiet conversation. Or just go to a wine…
How hard is it to reserve the long tables? I've been waiting for a response after trying to book it online on their website.
I received an email back in about 2 hours time. Reservations from what I understand involve mandatory open bar and at least 3 platters of food. When you get a reply they will send the pricing options for drink packages as well as choice of food.
Is there happy hour on weeekends?
No. Happy hour is only Monday to Friday, 4 to 7pm
