Cool spot on the west side to meet up with friends for a beer or two Its a large spacious spot, and clean with a nice staff. You can nosh on bar foods such as pizzas, mozzarella sticks, burgers, sliders, nachos, brunch items, and more. Nice variety of craft type beers and cocktails. Decent beer prices based on glass size - 10 oz, 16 oz, and so on. Beer flights too. Good amount of seating in a beer hall setting, along with plenty of TV's to watch sports. read more

I'd been wanting to try this place for a while! The grilled cheese suspended over a pot of tomato soup had me intrigued. There are a couple of locations, but I knew I'd be in the area of this one, so I made a 5 pm reservation. The reservation process was easy, and when I arrived (slightly behind schedule), it was no problem. Our servers were patient and friendly throughout the meal. They offer picnic-style tables, high-tops, and bar seating. We were seated in a little side area near some lawn games, and there were plenty of outlets for my friends' dying phones. Our table even had a Jenga tower already set up, with random sayings and prompts written on the blocks, which was a fun touch. I ordered water and what I'd been waiting for: the doughnut grilled cheese and tomato soup. It comes with a side, and I chose the onion rings. My friends ordered the kale chicken salad and the chicken sandwich. Both looked great, and they enjoyed their meals. The grilled cheese hanging over the little yellow pot was adorable and incredibly cheesy. The soup was thick and flavorful. My only complaint was that neither the grilled cheese nor the soup was very hot. That said, the cheese pull was wild, and when all that cheese fell into the soup? Delicious. The onion were were big and crispy. I know some reviews mention the prices, but I thought they were reasonable for the amount of food. We all had leftovers. I'd definitely come back for a fun night of board games, table games, or even a watch party. read more

This Clinton Hall on the West side is close to my daughter's office. It's just like the other Clinton Hall Beer Gardens. I don't drink but I like the vibe and it's a great place to meet up for lunch or brunch. I'm recommending. read more

I found myself at Clinton Hall for a colleague's going away gathering. I'm somewhat familiar with this spot as they have several other locations, including one in the Bronx which is the one I had been to previously. It's been several years though, so I was looking forward to re-discovering this spot. This specific Clinton Hall location is located on 36th between 5th and 6th. Walking in, I was greeted by a large open space - it has a modern aesthetic with high ceilings, a dark color scheme, and rows of benches where you can sit. There are also a few games along the back wall which add to the overall play aesthetic; the bar on the left wall completes the look. The menu mostly consists of casual fare and bites; they have an good drink selection as well. We noticed a small cocktail menu at the tables, so we decided to primarily look there. We had a few rounds - all the cocktails were pretty good and fit well with the season. We also decided to get a few bites - we noticed they had $8 apps for happy hour and went with their Korean fried chicken tender and the mozz sticks. The tenders were good - crispy and paired with two sauces. The mozz sticks were pretty good - not as unique but they were fried well and had a decent cheese pull. Service was great - drinks and food were served promptly and everyone was friendly. Overall, I had a great time at Clinton Hall - they provided a fun, comfortable environment to connect with my colleagues outside the office with good food and drinks. I wouldn't hesitate to return here for another event or on my own with friends. read more

Stopped in for the lunch special. I cannot believe the quality of the cheeseburger I received for just $10. The burger was fresh ground beef, I could tell because of how soft the patty is. Cooked perfectly with caramelized onions and melted cheddar cheese. Often when a burger comes on a pretzel roll, the role is on the harder side and is very dough-ey. Not here. Nice soft fresh pretzel roll. And it didn't overpower the beef at all. Excellent, friendly service and food arrived promptly. Bar and restaurant is clean and well kept. After this experience, I won't consider this place primarily a bar. Their food game is too good. read more

Came by for a friend of a friend's birthday. There was a large group of us, about 20, and we were easily accommodated. Friends ordered the mozzarella tower and they were good. They also ordered pizza and they liked it, too. Since we were here for a birthday they brought out a slice of cake, ice cream, waffle cones, and candy! They also have a pool table styled mini golf. It was my first time going here for a watch party. It was a sports event for the next. I went with a couple of friends, and my cousin and the ambience was very lively, which was great. The service the bartender Mo I had he was very attentive very nice very polite and the drinks that he was making were on point the food was good. The wind could've been a little bit better. I had better wings, but I had these Tex-Mex salad. Amazing. Amazing something if I go there again I will have again the DJ was pumping nice music at everybody dancing watching the game. I went to Clinton Hall on a whim for lunch. It was a very quiet space at midday and they were offering specials on drinks and small bites. I had a wonderful kale based salad and a nice hazy IPA beer. Visited on a Saturday afternoon and were the only guests at the venue. This place has shelves stacked with board games, which will keep all different parties entertained. My party played connect 4 while we waited for our food. I ordered the strawberry margarita. It was flavorful, but a bit light on the alcohol. We also ordered: CH Classic Burger (3.5/5) - a clean tasting burger that reminded me a bit of an in and out burger. Buffalo wings (2/5) - meaty but lacked the sauciness and flavor Overall, the atmosphere was enjoyable and would recommend if you're looking for a casual spot to eat and hang. read more

Came here a few days ago for a casual gathering and it was a good pick! The venue is quite large and had tables available when we were there. Granted, we were there on a rainy Tuesday night before a holiday so maybe less customer traffic than usual - but ideal for our group of 10-15 to hang! Regarding food, there's plenty of options on the menu and I would say better than your average bar's food items. I would recommend the Korean fried chicken sandwich and onion rings but I think you can't really go wrong with most fried item choices. We didn't get to take advantage of the vast board game selection but I feel like this would be a great last minute place to hang especially if you have a large group. read more

Came here for a quick meal after Broadway. Menu is very small but packs a punch. Service is counter walk-up and the building feels like a sports bar. 10$ 16 ounce beers feel like a steal in the city, but I wish service matched what this place is trying to be. read more

Very solid option for a fun, casual group event or happy hour right by Herald Square. They have games on the tables to keeo folks entertained along with a good variety of fare. I would go for the waffle and sweet potatoe fries (swip the tots and nachos) and any of the sandwiches. If you are up for it, the CH Challenge is a behemoth of a burger topped with chicken tenders and onion rings on a monstrous bed of fries for $50. If you finish in 25 min, it's free. The drinks are also very solid with a variety of cocktails and beers. Definitely worth a visit if you are looking to grab drinks, snacks, and games after work. read more

I visited this restaurant with my coworkers, and it has a lovely setting. There are several different seating options available. Service was very accommodating and patient. Takes a bit of a while for the food to come since it's made fresh and hot. Their classic burger and waffle fries were very delicious. Fries are nice and crunchy. Ordered a Moscow mule as well, tastes like a ginger ale but with vodka. It's so delicious. Clinton Hall quickly became my place of choice to have semi-reunions with my old software engineering cohort. It's big enough to accommodate a big group short notice and they're just chill about it. The food's mid but it's great enough for a big group with varying palettes. They also have a generous assortment of games to play and is very accessible in Manhattan, since all of us live in varying corners of NYC. I've also come here with smaller crowds and it's fun to sit there with your friends and passively play games, while getting a slight drink on. And there are plenty of rotating craft beers for adventurous drinkers. read more

Excellent food- no complaints! Decent selection of beers on draft- they've got something for everyone! We played a couple of rounds of Jenga while catching up on life. Large space with variable seating options, it wasn't too busy for the 4-5 hrs we were there, I can imagine it getting packed when certain sports games are showing. Staff were attentive. My wifey and I have been to a few other Clinton Hall's, and once again, they didn't disappoint at this location! Loved the ambiance, which has their familiar family-friendly gaming feel. The staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. Their brunch items were delicious! My wife chose the best menu item over all IMO: Korean Fried Chicken Sandwich. I had their staple Double Smashed Burger which was cooked to my liking, and delectable! Their tots and fries were crisped and seasoned just right! What I also really enjoyed about this location is that it wasn't as loud and busy as some of their other locations; which isn't bad, it was just that this place had a calm, low-noise level ambiance to it, for a relaxed meal that we were in the mood for! I totally recommend Clinton Hall! We'll be back when in the area! read more

I hosted my birthday party for about 20 people at Clinton Hall 36th St this past weekend and had a wonderful experience! Reeves and Tara helped me arrange the event about a month in advance and were very communicative, helpful, and accommodating to all of my requests which were all executed excellently on the day. On site on the day, Michael welcomed us and was very helpful and attentive to our group. The hostesses, waiters (special shoutout to Mo!), and bartenders were also friendly with great service especially given that it was a very busy sports weekend with the NFL playoffs! My group was very well taken care of and I appreciate the wonderful service so much! They had many NFL drink and food specials that day which were very enjoyable and helpful for my group. I ordered a party platter that included sliders, nachos, and wings - all of which were delicious! Overall, I had such a positive experience and I would highly recommend Clinton Hall for your next event! Tara also helped a friend of mine plan a larger event at another Clinton Hall location (51st St) which was also a great success. Stopped by on a Tuesday night for an event my friend was hoping and walked into a chill crowd in an easy to find location! Bartenders here are friendly, conversational, great service and best of all, there are so many board games available in the back that you never have to buy another board game again! Was able to grab jenga (colourful), connect 4, Never Have I Ever (for the nights you want to get to know your friends on another level) and Cards Against Humanity. Super surprised to find that there were no pieces missing and was able to have a casual game over some drinks. Came here for the first time 2 years ago and had the absolute best fondue burger, we just had to come back for it. The result was extremely disappointing by the comparison. First photo was 2025, second was 2023. Easy to see how much smaller the burger is and how little fondue you receive. This visit completely destroyed the fantastic experience we were once given. I understand the impact of inflation and whatnot, but at the very least they should charge more for the burger to have the same amazing experience it once gave. read more

Service was absolute garbage. Went in an hour after they opened and there were zero tables or patrons in there. On A SATURDAY!! Our server was super nice! But she literally dropped off the pitchers of mimosas/ Bellinis, took our order and then NEVER CAME BACK. Eventually there ended up being 5 more tables in there so we understood her being away, but we had to go get her attention at the bar, while she was on her phone to order another drink and get items for our meals because she was absent. The food was decent and we felt the price was worth the item, however if management wanted a full restaurant they should focus on service. Also we saw the manager on the floor helping seat guests and clear tables however in a restaurant that has at least 8 tables that seat 6+ and 10 that seat 4+ the priority on a Saturday with 6 tables in your whole restaurant should be the tables that have people not the empty ones. Given the availability of restaurant I probably would not plan to go back. Just wasn't worth our money given the poor service. Again. Food was fine. read more

Clinton hall is all over and this is one of the many I've been to from the city to Brooklyn. Decided to grab a bite with mom as it was close by and has simple items that my mom would enjoy. This place is known for beer drinks and playing games with friends. My mom thought it was cute and enjoyed her food of wings as she hasn't been out in awhile. It was pretty chill on a Friday late afternoon. We were served Timothy but our waiter disappeared and we had to flag someone else for napkins and utensils. Ther serving size was great and drinks did justice. I've also been here in a pulsed brunch deal which was great and worth it with unlimited drinks. I've come to Clinton Hall 3 times now, and I think it's great for a work happy hour, and others clearly agree. After 5:30pm, the place is regularly packed with finance and tech bros dressed in corporate attire. Somehow, I've still never had to wait too long to get in! They have a large selection (20+) of craft beers, and provide a brief description of each one to help you decide. There's also a small cocktail menu. Drinks are reasonably priced, food is standard bar food, and there's lots of games and activities around the large space. I loved the sour beer that I got. I also really like how they have different games like Jenga and UNO available that you can play with friends. I came here to meet with up with a group to celebrate one of my friends' birthday. The place was spacious and comfortable, with all sorts of games, such as Jenga, Connect 4, Uno, Foosball, and a cool lit up life size Chess board. There was also a pretty varied menu, and we ended up having the fried calamari and chicken nachos to share. The fried calamari was unique and slightly elevated, as it contained bonita flakes, black and white sesame seeds, crunchy jalapeños, along with yuzu aioli. I stayed away from the jalapeños because I have low tolerance to spicy foods. The calamari itself were shaped in little rings, which were perfectly crispy and very tasty. The nachos were loaded with melted queso, cherry peppers, pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole. There was an ample amount of tender, well seasoned grilled chicken distributed throughout. All the ingredients worked together to create mouthwatering bites. For my main course, I ordered the Bacon Bacon Bacon Burger, which was served with fries. The burger was on the smaller side, but expertly cooked and still satisfyingly filling. The burger came with half bacon and half beef patty, candied Nueske's bacon, and finally, tomato bacon jam. In addition to all that, there was delightfully melty Gouda cheese and watercress. The star of the meal was that candied bacon... Wonderfully crunchy, just the right amount of sweetness, and an explosion of flavor. The meat was also amazingly succulent and juicy, while the bacon jam tied everything up nicely. There were plenty of yummy skinny fries, which were kind of addicting. Of course, we wanted to get the extravagant Birthday Cake Waffle dessert, which was supposed to be $25. We were informed it would take awhile to create, and later were told due to demand, they wouldn't be able to make it for us, so the manager let us choose another dessert at no charge. Imagine our surprise when we were indeed served the Birthday Cake Waffle with a lit up sparkler, consisting of Fruit Loops waffles, topped with a slice of rainbow cake / lollipops and Fruit Loops ice cream with an ube cone. As a base and in between the waffles was frosting overflowing with Lucky Charms marshmallows, edible confetti, as well as Fruit Loops. This was quite an impressive and colorful display. I enjoyed the rainbow cake, which was moist with deliciously creamy smooth white frosting. The Fruit Loops ice cream was also good - Milky and incredibly sweet in a good way. The Fruit Loops waffles were decent, but didn't taste that strongly of the cereal. The rest of it was overly sweet. The staff also brought out 2 additional desserts: Churro Ice Cream Sundae and a trio of Ice Cream Sandwiches. The Churro Sundae came with horchata ice cream, which was a lovely blend of milk with cinnamon. The churros were also pretty good and still warm, with a generous dusting of cinnamony sugar. I wasn't that impressed with the ice cream sandwiches though. The cookies were kind of dry and bland, while the ice cream inside tasted plain. Service was excellent throughout. The staff were friendly, patient, and on top of everything - even the confusion with the dessert, was resolved with grace. Overall, we had a fun night out and it is a fantastic place to bring a group, small or large. I would definitely be happy to return! read more

We chose Clinton Hall for Secret Santa because we were looking for a place with boozy brunch, this location had pretty good reviews, it was a central meeting point, and there was also a Pulsd deal. Only 2/4 of us decided to get the Pulsd deal ($49 for two entrees and unlimited mimosas/bellinis), so it was nice that they let half the table use the deal, but you could also combine vouchers if you like. We came in right before 12 since they don't accept brunch reservations and they weren't quite open yet. We also wanted to go early to avoid waiting and any crowds, especially because of Covid/Omicron, and we felt pretty safe, as it was really spacious. It did start getting more packed maybe half hour - hour before we left, but we were still far enough away from other tables. For starters, we decided to get an app to share. We had the nachos and added beef to it. This was pretty lackluster. Everything was just kind of haphazardly thrown on there. All the melted cheese was on the bottom of the nachos (who does that?). The beef was also dry. There was also a sad little looking random scoop of guac. For my main, I had the Fondue Burger, which is a burger on a pretzel bun, with a hole in the middle, and there are fries in that hole, but also an extra side of fries, and a little pot of fondue cheese on the side. If that sounded confusing, that's because it was. Perfect for IG, but not if you want a good burger. The only thing good about this was the pot of cheese and the pickle. It has potential but it just wasn't executed correctly. The patty was a bit dry (even though I asked for medium rare), and the fries were soggy, which I was so disappointed in because I LOVE me some cheese fries. Also, as I'm writing this review, I'm wondering what they do with the middle part of the burger. My friend had the Doughnut Grilled Cheese, which comes on a hook over a cup of tomato soup. I tried a bite and it was actually not bad but I cannot imagine eating the hole thing as an entree - maybe to share? She agreed and couldn't finish it. Overall, it seems that the food is gimmicky and IG worthy, but doesn't actually taste that great. Another friend ordered the philly cheesesteak, but it wasn't until they started bringing out the rest of our entrees did they tell her it was unavailable. Drinks were standard brunch drinks - pretty sweet, but just a nice addition to the meal, especially if you're with a group. I did like that they had games and they didn't hold us to the time limit of the boozy brunch Pulsd deal (even though we stopped drinking within the "allotted time"), but they still let us hang out and play games. They have various board games and Jenga just happened to be at our table. I probably wouldn't come back for actual entrees but I wouldn't mind trying again for games, drinks, and bar food. read more
