Of the three we called...One never called back. The other one and All Service Roofing came out to do an estimate. The first company came out and gave an estimate that cost $$$. Bryan from All Service Roofing came out and did an estimate and found the same issues as the other company. When it came down to cost, All Service Roofing was a fraction of what the other company quoted. On the day of the repair, Carlos and his team showed up in the timeframe that was agreed upon and started working right away. They uncovered the roof tiles and started the repairs. They worked quickly and efficiently. The whole project took about an hour to complete. What amazed me was amazing to me was that All Service Roofing did the same work as the other company and did a fantastic job at a fraction of the price. He worked with leftover panels to create a patch, then went back to further refine and improve the patch so it blended cosmetically with existing panels and was aesthetically pleasing from a curb appeal viewpoint. I asked the main office lady (Sam) to please do the legwork and obtain the permits for me, and she did so effectively and got them right the first time. When the crew came out to replace my roof, their Foreman (Jose) explained each step to me as they progressed. The first day was tear-off and replacing 3 sheets of plywood. The second day, the crew met with the State Inspector who approved the crew to proceed to install the new shingles. Final Inspection was done by the same Inspector during the following week and Jose came out to meet with him and get the Final Signoff. The whole process was smooth and friendly which I believe is due to this family-owned roofing business who actually CARE about doing a fine job for a fair price. He showed up exactly on time, explained their whole process to make sure I understood the scope of what needed to be done, and made sure to answer all of my questions, including some I thought of after he left. Their quote was on the lower end of the spectrum, but with an excellent warranty and references. We did end up with a $6k change-order for additional [hidden] damage that was not easily detectible during the initial inspection, but it was not surprising, as the roof had not been replace in well over 20 years and there were noticeable soft spots when walking on the roof due to rotten plywood under the shingles. Even with the change-order, the total cost was extremely reasonable, and came in under my projected budget. The work crew arrived promptly on day one and introduced themselves and apologized that it was going to be noisy/messy for the next few days. Every day, they cleaned up the trash very thoroughly and magnet rolled to make sure nothing was left behind. This was a big concern for me as I have two dogs that I don't want stepping on or eating debris. I was originally quoted 5-7 days for the entire project, and they finished in 4.
