Sarah aka Cleopawtra is awesome!! I've seen her a few times before and today my long-haired cat Puff got a bath + blow out (fancy!), nail trim, and sanitary shave (for his back legs). This service is amazing because Sarah comes to your home and brings all the required supplies. You have the option to help her (which essentially means holding your cat while she does the hard stuff), or she can bring a helper for an extra charge. She was gentle and efficient throughout even when Puff started squirming (he doesn't like the blow dryer) which made the experience as painless as possible. When all was said and done, my kitty was so fresh and so clean. He wasn't rattled and promptly assumed his position on the windowsill like nothing had happened. Pricing is super reasonable compared to other groomers that I've brought Puff to, and appointments have always been on time. The only drawback is kind of because Sarah is so awesome -- she generally books a few weeks to a month or two ahead, so set your appointment in advance! I'd say to avoid stressing your cat out by bringing him somewhere for a groom, it's so worth it!! read more

Both times Sarah has come to visit, I've been in awe of how well she's been able to work with him. (Insert squeals, cooing and babbles here) Parenting is not all fancy headbutts and purring, however; we've discovered that nail trimming is an activity our son doesn't particularly excel at and neither do we, as cat parents (yet). Comes Sarah to the rescue! I seriously worried about the outcome of the visit since our mobile vet said Joey has been one of the most feisty and resistant to handling she's seen! Sarah at Cleopawtra is fantastic! She has been giving my big, furry brown tabby Angus "lion cut" haircuts since 2010 when I found her online and it has made my life much easier! Instead of trying to wrangle your cat into a carrier and to the groomers or vet clinic, Sarah brings her cheery self and her equipment right to your door. This is important because it means that your cat isn't stressed out by travel before the groomer even begins! And even more importantly, she doesn't use any drugs - just her patience and experience (and maybe a towel if needed) and she is patient, thorough and careful and does a fantastic lion cut! Additionally, she is available in the evenings (for those who work 9-5 this is so important!) and she has squeezed me in when she has had cancellations and Angus needed a haircut pronto! AND....she is VERY reasonably priced (check her website for details, I am easily saving $40 per cut compared to what I used to pay at the vet's office!) I am so happy I found Sarah - she makes shaving my cat easy (which, as any cat owner knows, is truly a miracle!) read more

I have a one year old maine coon with plenty of knots. He was pretty strong and kicked a lot. With the addition of the helper it took me and my boyfriend to hold him down. We were happy with our appointment. I would recommend these ladies to anyone and definitely advise to give them support if need be because some cats are very difficult to groom. Sarah is wonderful, and she is a lifesaver when it comes to our Ragdoll/Persian kitty. He has a very stubborn little personality and he doesn't like to be restrained, but Sarah lets him do his thing and she untangles his knots with minimal restraint. She is extremely quick and efficient, and I have never seen someone clip kitty nails so quickly! Her service is a win-win for everyone because not only is it much cheaper than other salons, but having her come to the house means our cat is so much less stressed (and so are we). She will chat with us while she works, and our cat is even more relaxed with Sarah than he is with us when we try to groom him! We have had several appointments with Sarah so far and we will continue to do so. She "gets" our cat and knew right away the best way to approach him and the situation. She has also informed us of a last-minute cancellation when our cat really needed an appointment, and she came by that same evening to untangle his mats. We have nothing but praise for Sarah! Turned out driving cat to groomer at vets office was less stressful. Didn t find her handling of cat was very good, and my cat is pretty docile. Had to assist her, and I never had to do that with technicians at vets. So low score for communication and below average for actual service. And charged more than price posted online. I called Sarah to help with my long haired kitty's matted fur. My cat is not very friendly to say the least. Sarah and her assistant came and took excellent care of my cat, even though she freaked out and definitely didn't give them an easy time. I would recommend Sarah in a heartbeat. She gave our kitty Harry a wonderful lion cut, as he had numerous knots. She was kind, gave him breaks, and calmed him down the entire time. I think it's wonderful she comes to your home. She has after work hours which I found super convenient. And if you want to assist her in grooming your cat, that's great. If not, she will bring an assistant for an extra charge. I helped assist with her, and I found she kept the conversation going and gave lots and lots of love to our cat. Harry wasn't as nervous because he was in his own surroundings. It took about an hour, and was not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. We will definitely be asking Sarah back. read more

I am so grateful that I discovered Cleopawtra! I have difficulty trimming my cats nails, she's a rescue kitty who does not like to be handled. And she might be tiny, but she's also mighty - only nine pounds and with no teeth, she is still a very tough customer. I recently moved and started going to a new vet, who was unable to trim Winona's nails even with my help and the help of a vet assistant. Sarah was excellent with her, and so accommodating!
