My vet was so afraid of my tiny cat and her fierceness that they wanted to have her deeply sedated and intubated just for dematting. But Sarah did a brilliant, fast, gentle job in our home, without any trauma for anyone. Highly recommended. read more

Sarah aka Cleopawtra is awesome!! I've seen her a few times before and today my long-haired cat Puff got a bath + blow out (fancy!), nail trim, and sanitary shave (for his back legs). This service is amazing because Sarah comes to your home and brings all the required supplies. You have the option to help her (which essentially means holding your cat while she does the hard stuff), or she can bring a helper for an extra charge. She was gentle and efficient throughout even when Puff started squirming (he doesn't like the blow dryer) which made the experience as painless as possible. When all was said and done, my kitty was so fresh and so clean. He wasn't rattled and promptly assumed his position on the windowsill like nothing had happened. Pricing is super reasonable compared to other groomers that I've brought Puff to, and appointments have always been on time. The only drawback is kind of because Sarah is so awesome -- she generally books a few weeks to a month or two ahead, so set your appointment in advance! I'd say to avoid stressing your cat out by bringing him somewhere for a groom, it's so worth it!! read more

I can't recommend Sarah strongly enough! I have a very timid cat, just a little over a year old who has met only a small handful of humans due to COVID. Both times Sarah has come to visit, I've been in awe of how well she's been able to work with him. She's incredibly patient and thorough and has had great advice for any care questions I've asked along the way. Being able to keep my little guy in an environment he is comfortable in (my home) is just a total added bonus. read more

Sara is the best. She has groomed my Timmy for years and each time the groom is great and Timmy is calm afterwards. I highly recommend recommend Cleopawtra ! read more

We have an extremely high maintenance Persian kitty and Sarah is fabulous in dealing with his lion cuts! She is incredibly kind, professional, knowledgeable and personable. She will not disappoint. read more

This amazing service gave me back my loving, affectionate cat! Sarah was so professional, quick, and caring with my cat. The amount of matted fur we were able to remove has made my cat so much more comfortable! Sarah's services are well worth the wait (and she was even able to bump up my booking with a last minute cancellation). For a first ever experience with cat grooming, with a long haired young cat, I am so happy! I highly, highly recommend! read more

Cleopawtra Spa for Cats - Post hair cut, enjoying the freedom from matted fur! - Pet Groomers Near Me

I've been MIA from Yelp for good reason: I became a parent. A parent to a very overweight senior cat with the most handsome face and I just can't get enough of him! (Insert squeals, cooing and babbles here) Parenting is not all fancy headbutts and purring, however; we've discovered that nail trimming is an activity our son doesn't particularly excel at and neither do we, as cat parents (yet). Comes Sarah to the rescue! I seriously worried about the outcome of the visit since our mobile vet said Joey has been one of the most feisty and resistant to handling she's seen! But Sarah came right in, super friendly, no nonsense right down to business, and showed JoJo who was boss. In her words to Joey: "it's not my first time at the rodeo, love". Great website, prompt communication and appointment, and a very skilled cat handler who is super helpful. As I conclude this review, I am finally realizing "Cleopawtra" must be Sarah herself. (!!!) Bowing down to the best! read more

Sarah at Cleopawtra is fantastic! She has been giving my big, furry brown tabby Angus "lion cut" haircuts since 2010 when I found her online and it has made my life much easier! Instead of trying to wrangle your cat into a carrier and to the groomers or vet clinic, Sarah brings her cheery self and her equipment right to your door. This is important because it means that your cat isn't stressed out by travel before the groomer even begins! And even more importantly, she doesn't use any drugs - just her patience and experience (and maybe a towel if needed) and she is patient, thorough and careful and does a fantastic lion cut! Additionally, she is available in the evenings (for those who work 9-5 this is so important!) and she has squeezed me in when she has had cancellations and Angus needed a haircut pronto! AND....she is VERY reasonably priced (check her website for details, I am easily saving $40 per cut compared to what I used to pay at the vet's office!) I am so happy I found Sarah - she makes shaving my cat easy (which, as any cat owner knows, is truly a miracle!) read more

Sarah is awesome! I emailed her with a bunch of questions and she got back to me quickly and was very thorough in her answers. We booked a time and she was prompt, friendly and professional. We brought Addie into the bathroom and she was relaxed! Sarah groomed her, gave her breaks and was excellent! Cat is happy (and adorable), I'm relaxed and relieved - it was pretty stress free! I've recommended her to friends. We'll be calling her again! Thanks Sarah! read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet! Sarah is amazing with my fluffy beast, Griffin. She's always prompt, patient, yet assertive. I've been a client for years, and will never trust anyone else with my fur baby. Thanks for putting up with my anxiety, and griffins dramatic catitude! read more

I cannot thank Sarah (and Kelly) for all their help with Ninja and Oreo! Absolutely amazing service!

I have a one year old maine coon with plenty of knots. He was pretty strong and kicked a lot. With the addition of the helper it took me and my boyfriend to hold him down. We were happy with our appointment. I would recommend these ladies to anyone and definitely advise to give them support if need be because some cats are very difficult to groom. They did such a good job. I dont know what I would do without them. read more

Sarah is wonderful, and she is a lifesaver when it comes to our Ragdoll/Persian kitty. He has a very stubborn little personality and he doesn't like to be restrained, but Sarah lets him do his thing and she untangles his knots with minimal restraint. She is extremely quick and efficient, and I have never seen someone clip kitty nails so quickly! Her service is a win-win for everyone because not only is it much cheaper than other salons, but having her come to the house means our cat is so much less stressed (and so are we). She will chat with us while she works, and our cat is even more relaxed with Sarah than he is with us when we try to groom him! We have had several appointments with Sarah so far and we will continue to do so. She "gets" our cat and knew right away the best way to approach him and the situation. She has also informed us of a last-minute cancellation when our cat really needed an appointment, and she came by that same evening to untangle his mats. We have nothing but praise for Sarah! It is so difficult to find good, professional, consistent service that doesn't go downhill after the first session. As I've said, Sarah is a lifesaver for us. read more

Had difficulty arranging appointment as didn t receive response to request for a long time. When appointment took place, was pretty disappointed. Turned out driving cat to groomer at vets office was less stressful. Didn t find her handling of cat was very good, and my cat is pretty docile. Had to assist her, and I never had to do that with technicians at vets. So low score for communication and below average for actual service. And charged more than price posted online. Wouldn t use service again. read more

I would recommend Sarah in a heartbeat. She gave our kitty Harry a wonderful lion cut, as he had numerous knots. She was kind, gave him breaks, and calmed him down the entire time. I think it's wonderful she comes to your home. She has after work hours which I found super convenient. And if you want to assist her in grooming your cat, that's great. If not, she will bring an assistant for an extra charge. I helped assist with her, and I found she kept the conversation going and gave lots and lots of love to our cat. Harry wasn't as nervous because he was in his own surroundings. It took about an hour, and was not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. We will definitely be asking Sarah back. read more

I am so grateful that I discovered Cleopawtra! I have difficulty trimming my cats nails, she's a rescue kitty who does not like to be handled. And she might be tiny, but she's also mighty - only nine pounds and with no teeth, she is still a very tough customer. I recently moved and started going to a new vet, who was unable to trim Winona's nails even with my help and the help of a vet assistant. Sarah was excellent with her, and so accommodating! Our first visit was tonight and she handled Winona's ire wonderfully. I will definitely become a Cleopawtra regular. read more

I called Sarah to help with my long haired kitty's matted fur. My cat is not very friendly to say the least. Sarah and her assistant came and took excellent care of my cat, even though she freaked out and definitely didn't give them an easy time. To top it all off, they were in and out in less than 30 minutes. Thank you, you guys are amazing read more

Sarah is just the greatest. We struggled to find a cat groomer in Toronto that would work with our schedule, and were so lucky to come across Sarah and Cleopawtra. She's come over twice now to give our long haired cat, Jean Luc Picard, the Lion Treatment. For a very reasonable price, Sarah will come over at your convenience and give your cat an awesome haircut. At the the point when cat hair is flowing across our floor like tumbleweeds, Sarah is a total lifesaver - and beyond that, she is just a great person - super friendly, delightful to chat with, and so good with our cat. If you want to make your cat grooming experience awesome, you need to book Sarah! read more

Sarah is amazing. I was so worried about having my cat's nails trimmed. She is such a pro that my cat was pretty relaxed and it was all done in a couple of minutes. I'm really happy. read more
