Yay I'm back! Wanted to get a new fall set and went with a coffee/hojicha sort of vibe. Love the chrome design and attention to detail. Can't wait for a fill!
This has to be my new favorite nail shop in Pasadena. Right when I walk in I am greeted by the friendly staff and asked what services I wanted. After I sit and waited while they prepared my spa chair and prepare my complimentary matcha. I love my manicure and pedicure service. The pedicure felt so relaxing and I felt so clean afterwards. My manicure was top notch, Katie executed the shape and design flawlessly. I love the ambiance of the shop was warming and inviting. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Pro tip: parking is only $1 the first two hours if you park in the parking structure across the street from the shop called the De Lacey Parking Facility.
Found a great new nail salon! For this month of June they are having a special soft opening where you can get up to 25% off any service. If you leave them a review on google you can get that discount. I got a regular gel pedicure ($50 cash price) today with Leah. She was so gentle and nice. With the discount, I paid $37. *REMEMBER TO BRING CASH. Card price is few dollars more. The salon is recently remodeled so everything is very clean. They also serve you complimentary drinks while getting your nails done! They are located the same street of Tiffany Co (behind) on De Lacey St. Be sure to check them out and get that discount before end of this month!
I love my Tina! She was sweet, had me laughing and very honest with what colors not to get on my toes. What technician would ever do that? The vibe was great in the nail bar, super pretty location and the pricing is very comparable to what's in Pasadena but the service was A++
I truly enjoyed the newly renovated nail salon now called Cleo. The wooden panels with inserted lights make the place look very modern and sleek. They even added a cute mimosa bar. My mom and I got free drinks on our visit. They are offering free drinks for the first week of their soft opening. I got a the tropical passion fruit (no alcohol). The ladies did a great job on my nails. I got a regular pedicure $47 and a gel manicure $65 I had broke one of my nails and the tech added a nail extension for $5 Total I paid $117 I had my nails done by Ashely and Leah. I like that they take their time and don't rush filing my nails. They're detailed and clean here. Definitely my favorite nail salon in Pasadena.
Cleo Nail Bar is truly a gem. The ambiance alone makes you feel relaxed the moment you walk in it's beautiful, calming, inviting, and thoughtfully designed. The women working there are incredibly friendly while still being completely professional, and they made the whole experience feel effortless. Their work was absolutely amazing. Every detail was done with care, and the final result was flawless. I left feeling so happy with my nails and so impressed with the level of service. I highly recommend Cleo Nail Salon. I will absolutely be back the next time I'm in town.
I had a really disappointing experience here, especially when it came to the pricing, customer service, and the quality of the finished service. I originally came in wanting a fill and showed the nail tech a picture of exactly what I wanted. After seeing the picture, she told me $50, so naturally I understood that to be the price for what I had just shown her. They then kept asking me multiple times if I wanted to remove my current nails and get a new set instead. I repeatedly said no because I only wanted a fill. Eventually, I was told that a fill and a new set would be the same price, so I finally agreed to the new set. When it was time to pay, my total was $125 JUST FOR MY HANDS. That's when I found out that the $50 I was originally quoted was apparently ONLY for the design. The hard gel new set itself was another $67, along with additional charges that were never clearly explained to me beforehand. So my question is: if I was specifically told that a fill and a new set were the same price, are you telling me that a fill would have been $67 before even adding the design? If the $50 was only the design fee, that should have been made VERY clear when I showed the picture and asked how much it would cost. After I had already paid, I calmly brought up that I felt she should have been clearer about the pricing from the beginning. Instead of simply acknowledging the misunderstanding or explaining the charges, the worker responded to me very rudely and said, "I can take them off." At that point I had ALREADY PAID $125. I wasn't asking her to take my nails off--I was explaining that I should have been told the full price before the service was done. I found that response extremely dismissive and unprofessional. What made the experience even more frustrating was that after paying $125 for my nails, the finishing work wasn't even clean. The skin and cuticle area around the sides of several of my nails still had little pieces of skin and looked unfinished. For $125, I expect my nails AND the surrounding area to look clean, neat, and professionally finished. I don't have a problem paying more for quality work, detailed designs, or additional services. My problem is being quoted $50 after showing exactly what I wanted, being repeatedly encouraged to get a new set after saying I only wanted a fill, being told the fill and new set were the same price, and then finding out at checkout that my actual total was $125. Then, when I simply pointed out that the pricing should have been communicated more clearly, I was met with a rude response instead of basic customer service. If you're considering coming here, I strongly recommend asking them to tell you your FULL TOTAL, including every additional charge, BEFORE they touch your nails. I definitely would not have agreed to this service had I known beforehand that the $50 I was quoted would turn into $125.
Came in again and my nail artist was very nice & precise. Constantly asking if I liked my nails and was ok with me changing anything I didn't like. Very happy
I decided to treat myself to a hard-gel fill on my natural nails because I'm pregnant and wanted to save myself the time and energy of doing them myself. Unfortunately, I left extremely disappointed. After spending an hour and 15 minutes with Hailey, my nails were still unfinished and poorly structured. The initial layer of hard gel was so thin that my nails could still physically bend, defeating the entire purpose of the service. When I asked her to redo them, she initially refused until I demonstrated how easily the nail could flex and break. Even after she added more product, the gel was unevenly placed and created a thick, bubble-like shape with hooked tips that look like bird claws. I repeatedly explained what needed to be corrected and asked her to file down the bulky areas, but she still could not get the shape or structure right. The attached photos show how my nails looked after her attempts to fix them. The appointment was moving so slowly and the results were becoming increasingly worse that I eventually had to leave to return to work before she even applied color. Despite receiving an unfinished service that I was clearly unhappy with, I was still charged full price. I had also read other reviews describing clients feeling excluded or discriminated against here. I was the only non-Asian client in the salon, and the overall atmosphere left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. I cannot speak to anyone's intentions, but that was genuinely how the experience felt to me. I would not return.
These girls are amazing and soooo friendly!! The service is phenomenal! Tiffany is an amazing manager, Hailey was my nail tech and did an OUTSTANDING job!! Hailey is the sweetest person ever and is so talented. Part of the nail fell off and I came in a day later and they fixed it, no questions asked!!! The space is clean, gorgeous, and such a relaxing environment. They opened up a couple months ago, come support them!!!
I had a great experience at Cleo Nail Bar. The salon interior is very nice and new! May and Leah did a wonderful job, very kind customer service and awesome attention to detail! I felt welcomed, comfortable and left happy. Leah's manicure skills were so impressive, every nail length is matching, even shape, she really puts a lot of effort in to making it perfect and I really appreciate that. By the way, even the express pedicure comes with a little massage, and so did my manicure, that's such a nice bonus!
CLEO Nail Bar is THE ultimate for a luxe mani pedi experience & one that you need right now! From the moment you walk in the receptionist Kien, greets you, seats you & offers a handmade beverage from their drink menu as they have Matcha, Vietnamese Coffee, hot green tea & other fancy beverages. So nice! CLEO NB is a beautiful space thats clean, bright and airy with an open floor plan & a very relaxing atmosphere. The spa pedi chairs are so comfortable with gorgeous basins and a little table to rest your hands. The Milk & Honey pedicure was AMAZING by Hannah and it was so luxurious, its a MUST, along with their other luxe pedis that I cant wait to try!! My Gel X fancy nails by Tiffany are a true work of art! Tiffany is absolutely awesome with her beautiful hand painted designs and her eye for mixing and matching color! Tiffany always goes above and beyond and I LOVE my gorgeous nails and I always receive many compliments on! Thank you Tiffany! All the nail designers/technicians are amazing! With handprints designs, fancy jewels and a rainbow of gorgeous polishes there is something for everyone! I can't say enough about CLEO Nail Bar and the relaxing, luxe experience these wonderful nail artists provide & with a great value & price for their incredible services! There is convenient parking in a covered garage, right across the street & cost just a few dollars for a couple hours. CLEO Nail Bar is a gem and I highly recommend going for an experience that will leave you already looking forward to the next time! Will it be the Expresso pedi or the Champagne pedi? Either way I know I will be extremely happy!
Stopped by during their soft opening and treated myself to the Deluxe Spa Pedicure. what a great experience! One of the things I appreciated most was that I never felt rushed. The staff took their time, and the entire appointment felt relaxing from start to finish. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and accommodating, especially considering it was their very first day of soft opening. A nice bonus was the complimentary drinks. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee and was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't overly strong, but it was the perfect afternoon pick-me-up while I enjoyed my pedicure. Overall, I was very impressed with both the service and the atmosphere. For a first day, they did an amazing job, and I'll definitely be coming back. Wishing them much success on their grand opening!

I am so very grateful for Royalty Salon. They were able to squeeze me in last minute for a gel manicure after I had gone to another salon earlier in the day and received a horrendous manicure that looked awful. The difference was night and day. I unfortunately am struggling to remember the name of my nail artist, but she is incredible. Her work is precise and meticulous. I've never had such a flawless manicure before. All of the nail artists at Royalty Salon are very friendly and incredibly talented. I cannot recommend them enough for all your nail needs. I can't wait to come back and get artwork done as well. read more

I recently started coming to Royalty Salon for gel X extensions and I always leave so happy with my nails! Tina does such a beautiful job with every design and is so meticulous. For example, if you are between two colors, Tina makes sure you get to see your options on your nails so you can pick the color you love best. I always come with an inspo pic and am always so impressed with the final look. Leah gives the best pedicures--always so precise and relaxing! I love the clean vibe and their service is impeccable. I highly recommend! read more

Royalty salon is very clean and has amazing service! They have a wide selection of designs and colors. This time I chose to use cute stickers. I showed the nail artist a few inspo photos I had in mind and she truly made it her own. Literal artists! The gel overlay is a must to get the beautiful shape. My husband and I also went for their spa pedicure. I have had a lot of pedicures but none like this! We chose the deluxe package which included a mask, scrub, and hot towel wrap. They had so many different scents to choose from and went with lavender. My husband chose green tea. I recommend coming for mani and pedi. I always look forward to getting pampered every time. read more

Great nail and hair service! Everyone here is so nice and they really do the best job. I'm so happy I found them! There's public parking right across from the salon, which is super convenient. Thank you so much for your amazing review! We’re truly grateful for…
I've been here 3 times now and each time I'm pretty satisfied with the service. I think there are distinct pros and cons for all their nail techs that did my nail but in general, I think this is a reliable spot. I do want to note that it is on the pricier side but I never leave the place hating my nails. 1st visit (GelX Purple French tip w/ extra white line) - Forgot to ask for Nail Tech's name - Cost: ~ $120 (I don't remember the exact amount) - This was probably the BEST nail set I've ever had. I opted for GelX because my nails, at the time, were very brittle and short. The nail tech did an amazing job as this set lasted more than a month and still looks really good. The application was so detailed that everything stayed in tack with no chipping even after 2 months later (although at this point they were very grown out. I just didn't have time to take them off while traveling). I really wish I got her name (I'm hoping they see this so they can let me know their name and I can book them again). Every french tip double line was hand drawn. The only down side to this set was that it took 4 hours because she was so detailed on the prep for the Gel X. 2nd visit (GelX French tip with pink/ red hearts) - Nail Tech: Elena - Cost: $130 + tip - My experience with Elena is also so good. She was more talkative and would even ask me which korean drama I wanted to watch in case I got bored. I think her prep was not as good as the first tech, but the nails also lasted a reasonable amount of time. I also loved how knowledgeable she was about nails and was able to advise me to make the best choice when choosing Gelx/hard gel/ soft gel for my next visit. 3rd visit (Regular Gel Neutral nail + 2 finger w/ glitter) - Nail Tech: Leah - Cost: $60 + tip - I called the day of and Leah was able to squeeze me in last minute. I think the way she shapes my nail is perfect and makes my nails look so flattering. I do want to note that I also don't think she is great at design. She's not as talkative (which I don't mind at all) but there are sometimes when I have a hard time understanding what she is asking. I originally called asking for a gel only manicure but when I arrived, I did ask if she was able to do a simple design. She initially said no, (which I was okay with) but towards the end she attempted to do this simple zigzag design on my index finger. After a couple of tries she let me know she couldn't do it. I would have been find with having no design but the only thing is, she already painted a "design" with glitter on my ring finger so I had to commit to something on the index finger or else it would look odd. I kind of just let it go and ended up having glitter on 2 fingers. I kind of wish she just said she couldn't do it from the beginning. She was talking to the other tech in Chinese saying "The customer thinks the design is simple, but it's hard. They don't understand. I just told her we don't have this glitter". Lastly, I think she also had a bit of a heavy hand. During nail prep, she is a bit more rough. The side of my nails do feel a bit inflamed, not enough where I got cut, but enough for you to kind of see it being red on camera. The service was also on the faster side. This whole set took about an hr. read more

Linh did such an amazing job on my gel-x nails! She was so nice and easy to communicate with. I loved being able to send her my design inspiration and set up an appointment by text. My nails are beautiful and have lasted for 5 weeks already. I can't wait to get a new design! In the same appointment I got a pedicure done by Miu Miu and she did a wonderful job as well! I LOVE ROYALTY SALON! I followed Kazuyo here and she really is extraordinary! I have lilac/gray hair (it looks dark in the picture, but after the first or second wash, it will be the perfect color!!), and others have struggled to get the color right, but she did and I love it so much! I have been going to her for 4+ years and am so happy and thankful for her! They take such great care of your hair (especially if you're using bleach), and also give you the best head massages during your hair washes! Wish i could give a 10/10 stars! Highly recommend!! read more

Like, how cute is it to get My Melody (Hello Kitty's friend) hand painted and surrounded by cute, pink and sparkles??? This was my first time getting gel x (non-acrylic nail extensions), and letting someone design fingers based on a picture of a Sanrio character. Aaaaand I would totally go back and do it again. The studio is clean and the nail artists are patient and creative. Queenie did my nails and I feel like she looked into my soul and understood what I was looking for and read my personality in order to match my nails--subtle design and work appropriate, not too flashy with the length, and cute. It's only been a week since I got my nails done and I really wanted to write a review to share the cuteness so I'm hoping it lasts through the month. I think I would return for another manicure session before revising my review to match the other 5-star reviews. read more

I'm so glad I chose Royalty Salon as my first salon to do my hair professionally! Neo was my stylist and must I say he did an exceptional job, I AM IN LOVE WITH MY NEW HAIR! The staff we're super nice, and the overall ambiance of the salon was just amazing! I definitely recommend Royalty Salon and Neo! Will be coming back again! read more

Queenie has been my nail artist for the past 3 years and I have followed her from 2 other salons which should be a testament of her work. I come to her every month with a design I'd like and she never fails to deliver. She is very detail oriented and never one to half ass her work. Every nail needs to be the same length and every brush stroke must be perfect. She has done my nails for every birthday, my proposal, bts concerts and will be doing them for my wedding as well. I've recommended her to all my friends and they are also regulars now too. The salon does not do acrylic or dip but they do gel X. Parking is at the De Lacey parking garage across the street. $1 for the first 2 hours and $2 an hour. after. read more

Who doesn't love a new salon ! Just got my nails done yesterday and OMG I'm in love! 1 stop shop for hair and nails. They specialize in Japanese gel, they don't do acrylics here. If you don't know about gel x, it's time to know about it. Gel x is the best and they're so good at it. Refer to my pics:) Ps-love how I can get a quick blowout before my dinner. If you are looking for legit Japanese design nails this is the place to go! I usually get gelx nail extensions because they are durable and they last longer. I go to the gym 5 days a week. I haven't had any problems with my nails breaking or snagging. They use quality stuff and they take their time working on the design. I've had my current set for almost 5 weeks now and all the jewels are still intact. However, I don't suggest waiting that long. I just haven't had the time to go back. But I'm definitely due for a new set! Thank you guys for making me feel like a princess with my bling bling nails! read more

I've been going to Queenie for almost 2 years now! I found her by accident needing an emergency fill having no idea what Gel x was at the time. My nails needed a miracle and she saved me! And now I've been going to her ever since! She always accommodates my nail design requests and has amazed me with her attention to detail. She takes her time and makes sure your nails look amazing. From simple designs to detailed images, she really does a phenomenal job! I'm glad I found her, she is amazing at what she does! At the new shop, I love how bright and open the space is, and parking is conveniently located across the street for about 3 bucks. They also offer hair salon treatments. Everyone is really nice and I definitely recommend coming here for your nails! xx Britteny read more

I was looking for a new colorist, and my sister suggested I book an appointment with Neo. After looking through photos of his work, I decided to. Even though he's extremely busy, I found him to be very responsive and accommodating when I messaged him asking for a quote/booking my appointment. Let me just say that NEO IS AMAZING!!!!! For years, I've always had a balayage/highlights done to my hair. However, I wanted to try a global bleach to achieve the look I was going for. During the process, I found Neo to be very detail-oriented, efficient, and honest. He told me it would be harder to get an even color since I previously had a balayage, but he would try his best to get it solid. I am more than happy with the results of his work. Neo and his assistants worked their magic, and after 6 hours, he turned my vision into a reality! I was given a beautiful, lavender color that I've always wanted. Neo is an incredible hair colorist, and I definitely recommend booking an appointment with him if you want to try a "fantasy" hair color! He has done pinks, purples, silvers, etc. and will give you want you want. read more

My search is finally over. I've tried about 8 different nail salons since moving back to LA last year. Queenie here at Royalty is amazing. Extremely detail oriented and doesn't bat an eye or make you feel bad about asking for fixes or trying colors on. Facility is super clean and you really feel like a VIP client. The perfect place to pamper yourself. 10/10! Neos is amazing and truly a gift from the hair gods. He's very thorough and detail-oriented with his work. Every time I send him my hair inspos, it ALWAYS comes out better than I could have ever imagined. My hair and I couldn't be happier! Moreover, I had my nails done for the first time with gel-x and I am soooooo glad I did!
