MVP's core market is men, and they seek to please their core market however possible. They provide an array of televisions and video game consoles for your entertainment while you wait, an assortment of magazines to read, an internet connected computer, and a foosball table (seriously). Additionally, each station has a TV which you are provided a remote control for. As far as entertainment goes, definitely the best experience at a salon for me. But how about the cut? Although I've had a couple of bad experiences with new hairdressers, most of my visits to MVP have been successful. Most of my cuts were done by Lubna (who I strongly recommend), but some of the other staff had a hand once and a while. I particularly enjoy the head massage and hot cloth on my face, and of course the haircut!

Mahogany is very close to my house so I thought I would pop in and check them out. The lady in the store was very helpful and helped me pick out some extensions which turned out to be beautiful and very high quality. Also the box they came in allowed them to lay at their full length, so I didn't need to straighten them the first time I used them. I wish I got the name of the lady who helped me, she was so friendly and kind to me when I was having the worst day and feeling horrible about myself, I really would like to thank her.

I was surprised when I found this place. Thinking about its location and exterior, I would imagine it to be a somewhat low-quality salon. But, thinking like that, I would be wrong. This place is actually quite eye-catching on the inside and very welcoming. They have a clean environment to work in, which provides me with comfort. The staff are definitely among the nicest stylists I've met. They can tolerate children in their chairs, which is more than I can say for other places. They have a way of talking to anyone and making them feel very welcome and at home. Since it is classified as a 'family' salon, the prices are actually cheaper than other places.
