Clementine's is a trendy little salon tucked away in a corner of the cool Stanley Marketplace. It's an open and comfortable space, and I love that they offer cruelty free hair products. The first stylist I saw was Kate, who is fantastic, but due to my schedule I saw Elle (Sara) instead on my second visit. We hit it off immediately and she was a really perfect fit for me. Elle is an amazing stylist! She does a wonderful job listening. She is kind, clever, and focused on her clients' needs. At my last visit, Clementine's had switched to L'Oreal colors, which my sensitive scalp doesn't seem to like. Between this and Covid, I haven't been back for a while, but when I return I look forward to seeing Elle again. I highly recommend her! read more

I love this place! The vibe is super cute and they always ply me with hot tea and chocolate in the lobby. I see Meg for cut and style. I have curly hair with uneven texture (sometimes it wants to be curly, sometimes wavy). She has done such a great job adjusting to my personal style and hair type. Tried this place out several months ago and was booked with Thomas Heap for a cut. I have a stacked angled bob and explained I wanted to keep the overall shape, just needed to cleaned it up and trimmed. He spent the next 45 minutes taking about himself and how fabulous he was in California and how he is bringing his style here that I guess he just either forgot what I said or decided my prior shape was not acceptable to him. I stopped him when it appeared he was cutting off way too much hair and reiterated what I wanted. He said he was texturizing it to create more volume. I don't want "texture". When I left it looked ok from the front but I could feel the back of my hair was sooo thin. Looking at it closely with a mirror when I got home I just wanted to put on a hat for the next 6 weeks. I ended up with a choppy squared off short cut with layers. No angled bob. WTH? It is not like I brought in some crazy picture of a hair cut. It is a common cut I walked in with and all he had to do was follow my existing shape. So obviously Thomas is not for me. Maybe he will either find clients that don't care what he does or appreciate him somehow but I sure the hell did not. The Salon has great reviews so maybe he is their LEMON! Beware. read more

I've been going to Clementine's at Stanley Marketplace for about 5 years now to get my hair cut. Everyone I've ever interacted with has been kind and helpful. I only go about 1-2 a year, so I usually see a different stylist every time. I went in to ask the receptionists who they would recommend as a stylist given my curly hair (I think I'm a 2b/2c that has never had a good routine and lazy with daily product). They were extremely helpful and honest and matched me with Danyelle. I cannot rave enough how absolutely amazing Danyelle was!!! She was patient with my questions, extraordinarily helpful and informative, and we had the best conversations! She made me feel like we've been friends for years. She took the time to explain what products she was using, how she was applying them, and how she uses them in her own routine since we have similar hair types. I actually cannot wait to cut my hair again with Danyelle, it didn't feel like a chore like it usually does for me - it was so fun and like a spa! I've always liked my day 2 curls best and WOW! I was obsessed when I left the salon, but even the next day my hair and curls were fantastic! I didn't buy any products the day of my cut, but I'm absolutely going back to get what she used (Kerastase Curl Manifesto line - I'm absolutely a convert, they're fantastic!) read more

Stephanie Z. is amazing!! I got a lash lift that looked so good and lasted longer than I expected. I got my first hydro facial and most recently a fire and ice facial by IS Clinical. Both were extremely relaxing and my skin was glowing. She recommends products to use in between services that truthfully show results. Go back to your old booking system! Ever since Clementine's migrated to Meevo for their booking system, I've continually missed appointments. I finally figured out that the old system used to auto populate my calendar. Meevo does not. I recently missed some additional appointments and wasn't sent a text reminder. I finally figured this out and asked if there is a way to update the system so that everyone gets a reminder no matter how close to the appointment time, or at least a text confirmation. The response I received was, "Maybe you could just manually put it into your calendar." While this isn't wrong, part of the reason why I was such a long time client of Clementine's was because it was easy for me to book and make appointments from the road. I have a consistently changing schedule that doesn't often allow me to book 6 weeks out and reliably be able to keep the appointment. And most of the time I'm juggling three things at once and it's difficult for me to manually populate my calendar. That's why the auto reminders, calendar population, and texts really helped keep me on track and a customer since Clementine's opened. And even if this isn't wrong, the response left a really bad taste in my mouth. At the end of the day, the only ones who lose are Clementine's and the staff. I still miss my appointment and because of the attitude I've now done the work of researching and finding new locations. I've also done the work of typing out this review, so other potential clients can be made aware. Total bummer. And on another note, please don't push product on me every visit. So I went into Clementines salon and had the 60 minute facial. It was my first time having any kind of professional skincare. Fellas let me tell you the women got this self care stuff figured out! I was treated by a wonderful esthetician Stephanie. With it being my first time she made certain to make me feel very relaxed and comfortable. She was professional, knowledgeable and walked me through every step of the treatment. The products she used were great and all medical quality. My skin feels and looks great! Honestly the hand, face and head massage were heavenly and would have been worth the price of the appointment.
