Look at the picture, I've never had a hot tub like this before Clearwater. Not sure what will be the next surprise, but won't buy this brand anymore. Wish I would have explored these reviews before purchasing a Clearwater Spa. We have had our spa for approximately 3 years. It has been a nightmare to own. Have had numerous black rubber particles floating in the water for the past 6 months. Of course they blamed the customer. Said we kept chlorine levels too high and caused disengration of rubber rings. I was diligent at keeping levels 3-5 ppm per CLEARWATER USER MANUAL recommendations. A little internet research shows the tub has a history of premature failure of these valves, but the store we purchased the tub Spa Logic from wants 1,000 dollars to replace the rings and we were told not covered under warranty. read more

Owned this tub for a little over 2 years and I am just more disappointed with every year. The 1st 6 months the top fell apart and I had to fight for 6 months to get it replaced. All lies they told me during that time is over the top! Now ... Today I need to change the water and I am having a hard time because of the horrible service I received when I bought it and it was set up. The owner wouldn't install the drain that comes with it. When I asked him too he refused and told me to stick a hose in it. Ok well I am having a hard time getting the water to flow out of the hose. If this jerk had just set it up right I could go out there and use the drain that was designed to be used. Additionally poor quality in how it was built. The plastic sides are warping out and several of the knobs are broke. I would recommend you buy your costly hot tub somewhere else. read more

Sadly this company can't build a quality swim spa to save their derriere! Software probs, lighting problems, leaks at pump Motors and jet fixtures that their dealer - Spa Logic in Portland has not been able to resolve. Leak probs primarily. The spa was ordered June 2021. It took Clearwater 16 months to produce and deliver my spa. Since October 10, 2022 our spa has had one leak after the other. They say they fill and test every spa. Baloney, otherwise my spa would be fine. The problems with this spa border on lemon law terms. Their dealer service department tries but gets no technical support from Clearwater or so it seems! Have an older model (2011?) hot tub, called our local dealer for a part and they couldn't find it so the called Clearwater spa trying to find the part and the Clearwater person messaged our shop and told them the part isn't available and there is no replacement so the need to check the internet and figure it out. During the research this is a common issue, so bottom line is we now know NOT to replace or buy anything from Clearwater if this is how they treat customers. Not sure how this company is still in business. We have had our hot tub for 4 years and it has Been nothing but problems. Company gives our service tech the run around and expects him to install new parts for free. We have had leaks in ozenator, jet housing, diverted valves plumbing above and below manifold and filter housing. Clearwater is very eager to sell you a $10,000.00 plus plus hot tub and are very responsive during the purchase process. When you call them with problems and ask for help they drop you like a hot potatoe. I would not recommend this company or any of the spas they offer to anyone. They do not support or stand behind the spas they manufacture at all. I do not know how they stay in business. My spa no longer works and is useless due to a $70.00 part that is no longer available, and they have no real desire to help me find the part. What a shame. I give them zero stars. Purchased a tub in January it's leaked from the moment it was installed. Agreed to a repair, thinking ok it's a fluke! Wrong it still leaks after the so called fix. Got the factory on the phone. A gentleman named Al said they would get us a new tub, said it should take 2 weeks. Ok again hoping to resolve this. After 4 weeks passed I called Al back, now the story is the retailer who sold us the tub is not in a "financial " position to order a new tub! What the heck! These guys are a joke. Now I'm deciding if I will proceed with getting a lawyer and sue these people. Although it's not the retailers fault his customer service is terrible. He ordered the tub and delivered it but that's the end of the service. This company is more of a bust in service and sales support. tried to buy some of their life spas online and was prompted to apply online for financing for about $4300. the salesperson was just about as worthless as Tits on a Guy. she was just an online support and offered no real way to complete sale. she also didn't answer my questions but referred me to the finance arm. they were a little helpful and said we could do a conference call to sort out the problems. after about two days Mindy sent me a stock email telling me of the decline and offered no real help or support. still the not helpful person and lacked any real sales training or support. after doing the call to the finance company and getting the can't help you but you should call back to Clearwater spas. after going back to Mindy and her supervisor who now has been prepped and told lies and such, we reached a dead end and told them that they should go to hell as if they were the last CO. who had spas. I would never buy from them!!! so moral of this story, is if you don't have an 800 score and down payments, this isn't the CO. for you. if they tell you up front we want only excellent credit and 10% or more down for $4300 then you may get approved. This was a hard one to grade. I've really loved everyone I've talked to, Scott, Dennis, Daniel whilst they've helped me fix this tub multiple times. My tub is at the 6 year mark and it's dying piece by piece. I guess it's like a car, tune ups are necessary. I'm not into using the tub as much so for the price and maintenance I don't like it anymore, but the crew helping me maintain it is very kind and they know what they're doing. The tub seems like a boat, it's better to have a friend that has one. This five star review is for the people that I talk to at the company, I'd give myself one star for the choice of getting this thing to begin with. Had there uv/ionized bromine tub for a couple years and have a hard time keeping balanced. My previous chlorine tub was not this hard. Come to find out the pvc around the UV light isn't rated for UV and deteriorates rather quickly. I was able to push my finger into it like wet paper. They replaced said part for free but unfortunately it's the same faulty piece that will fail again. So now I'm getting pvc flaking chunks all over my tub yet again. It's becoming such a hassle that I'm seriously thinking of getting rid of it. The sales and parts guys have been good but I haven't used them since they moved. Here's to hoping they have a fix for there serious lemon. Great ideas if they worked. read more

We purchased our Beach Craft tradition hot tub pre covid February 29,2020. We paid over 15,000 for it and needless to say we didn't get it delivered to our house until May. In September we started having issues with the control panel and fast forward to November it stopped working. We have a $15.000.00 box of hot water we cannot use and Clearwater stalling like they do have yet got us a new control panel. I have MS and use the hot tub to help my aching body and I sadly cannot use it. They do not care about people with disabilities or anyone who buys from them and has issues with their product. Just want to update that we had to spend $800 to get our 3 year old hot tub fixed that has given us nothing but problems since a few months in to our ownership and less than 2 months later it is leaking water. I've never been so frustrated with something I paid so much for that should be bringing us happiness and relaxation. I went into the Clearwater Spa store in Woodinville to buy chemicals. I had just purchased a new spa from Costco and wanted a local store from which to buy supplies and chemicals. The salesperson (I think it was perhaps the manager or owner) was incredibly rude. He asked me what chemicals Costco recommended. I said they didn't do that. He turned and walked away into the back room. After a few minutes he came back out and said: "May I help you?". I tried again - explaining that I wanted to get some chemicals for my spa. He goes off on me saying he's tired of people buying spas from other companies and then coming to him for advice. OK.... got it. So I left. Down the street from Clearwater is a place called KrisCo AquaTech. They are probably the most helpful people I have ever encountered. I have since bought 100% of all my spa parts and chemicals from them. It goes to show - customer service really does matter! I have referred dozens of people to KrisCo or McLendons over the years and yet I go out of my way to steer people away from Clearwater because of how rudely I was treated. read more

Supplier and contractors beware. It's not my practice to call out companies that I have issues with but, this will be the exception. We have done a few metal fabrication jobs for Clear water spa's. The last job they needed right away so we moved our schedule around to be able to accommodate their project as fast as possible. On completion of the job they accepted the project without issue and put it into service right away. I followed up a week or so later and was told everything worked properly and they were happy with it. I invoiced them at that time. After 30 days past due I contacted them with an updated invoice with late fees. Well after about 4 month of waiting for the invoice to be paid, they paid the original amount of a few thousand dollars but the check included none of the late fees. We all are charged late and service fees if we are late in paying our debts. When I emailed them about it was told, "its against our policy to pay late fees". If they had told us that they were having money issues before hand I would have been happy to make other arrangements as we do with quite a few other customers, but telling us that after 3-4 months doesn't help pay our bills. We are a small metal fabrication shop in Woodinville and we don't run on a large amount of capital as we are an income stream for a non profit that works with veterans with PTSD. When customers don't pay their invoices on time we can't pay our suppliers and are rightfully charged fees. I would not even consider telling one of our supplier that late fees are against our policy. That is just bad business practice. Hopefully we are the only one of their suppliers that they treat this way. They make a nice spa but with business practices like this you may want to consider this when you are in the market for a spa. So they only get 1 star from me because they refuse to less than $150 in late fees. read more

I have owned a Clearwater Spa for years. Until recent they backed their products with parts availability located in Woodinville, WA. Recently they moved operations to Arlington, WA. No longer offering parts support and are closed to public. Phone transfers to Redmond Spa company only available on weekends. Spa leaks which would be an easy fix if parts were accessible. Failure in service, product and new community which they are located. Recommend offering follow on support, customer service and backing your product. read more

I went to Clearwater Spas as a referral from a good friend who had purchased a Spa here a few years ago. Myself and my spouse walked in and stood around for 10-15 min while the only sales associate in the whole place was on a phone call. After hanging up the gentleman walked over and offered assistance. I told him I knew little to nothing about Spas but I wanted to purchase one for our house. I advised him that I didn't have a lot of time to spend shopping for one so I proceeded to tell him my budget to help speed things up. After listening to him for 20 or so minutes telling me about how great Clearwater spas were and how long there warranty was, he finally got to the pricing. Apparently he wasn't listening when we told him our budget because all the Spas we were shown were 3-4,000 over that number. I eventually asked him don't you have any that are less expensive? He took us to a different area in there showroom where they keep the "scratch and dent" inventory. There were a few in that area that we liked and were given prices on them. Every Spa that we said would be fine he would come back and say "I'm sorry, that one was sold". Seems odd to have Spas on your showroom that are offered for sale but in the end aren't. Nevertheless after some time checking on available stock the sales associate came back and said "I just had a few spas come available that had small amounts of damage on them, they are half of what they sell for retail" sounded great to us. We asked if we could see one and he said "they were in the warehouse and we could come back tomorrow to look at it". He asked us if we wanted to leave a refundable deposit to hold the price and the spa itself? We agreed and left $1,000 deposit. The next day I received a call from a gentleman at the corporate office asking me if I purchased a Spa yest? I said I had left a deposit until I am able to see what it looks like. He advised me that the Spa was available to look at now. However I wasn't available to make it there until the next day to look at it. I arrived the following day to look at the Spa, to my amazement no one knew anything about it. Of course my salesperson was off that day. I stood around for 20 min while the salesman that was there called the warehouse manager and tried to reach my salesperson on his cell. Eventually the gentleman came back and said "I'm really sorry but the Spa isn't ready to be looked at, if you would like to come back tomorrow I can have it ready". Unfortunately that wasn't going to work for me. I was so dissatisfied with my experience up to this point that I asked the gentleman to cancel my order and refund my deposit. About 45 min after I left I amazingly received a phone call from my original salesperson asking me what the problem was? As if he had no clue. I politely explained and again asked him to refund my card, which he assured me would happen ASAP. Fast forward to 3 days later, I had to call the sales guy back and ask him to again refund my card cause it hadn't happened yet. Again I was assured it would happen. I received a call from the corporate office 2 days after that asking for my credit card number so they could refund me. That was 3 days ago now, and I STILL HAVENT RECEIVED ANY REFUND OF MY DEPOSIT....... It's been 8 days since I cancelled my order and was told I would be refunded. I was so pissed off with the lack of customer service that I have told as many people as I can in this short period to never purchase anything from these clowns. Costco sells the same brand of Spas with way less drama. read more

If I could give this company a minus star for customer service I would. I've owned a Clearwater spa for 7 years and only had a few issues. One "not really an issue" was years ago when I called looking for a new pillow. Getting someone to answer the phone was a pain to get to happen. First issue was a pump went out last year. I called and left MULTIPLE voice messages and sent email looking for assistance. It took over a week for someone to answer my calls. Second issue was a few weeks ago I broke a jet in the tub. (Was not the products fault) I have called over the last three weeks and left voicemails. I have yet to get a return call. I ended up going to a few other spa stores looking for help and they all said the same thing about Clearwater... the customer service is non existent. I was advised the only way to get assistance from them would be to drive to their business. When I bought a Clearwater spa they were considered one of the premier spa companies out there. We've had our Tradition for almost 2 years, and it was the best purchase we've ever made. We haven't had a single problem, and the tub is amazing!!! My wife and I love the calf jets in two of the seats, the seats are formed to our bodies and so comfortable, and this tub has way more jet power than my buddies Dynasty Spa or my other friend's Hot Spring. We have the Ozone and UV water treatment and it's been super easy to maintain the water. We live a cold climate, so our tub came with double insulation and we're paying about $20 a month for power. Oh, and the table with the illuminated pillar is always a conversation starter and is the best when we have friends over and what to open a bottle of champagne in the tub, which our friends are starting to expect now, luckily they're starting to bring the bubbly! read more

Not sure where to start. Obviously very unhappy with the customer service. Staff at showroom are clueless and can't help with any questions regarding issues with our tub. In the last 2 weeks we have left 10-15 messages, voicemails and in person messages. They did call finally but I missed the call. Immediately called back WITH NO ANSWER. We had someone come out to repair a pump few months ago and now leak is back and flooding my entire yard. I'm having to fill tub over n over n possibly causing damage as it's saltwater tub. I NEED THIS FIXED ASAP. I refuse to pay again as guy at office said we shouldn't of paid as our tub has a warranty n the work done recently is too. So I pd $800 for what??? RIP OFF. I have taken two trips to Clearwater spas in Woodinville (40 min round trip), to get information/ manuals on my hot tub. I just bought a home with Clearwater hot tub. Unfortunately, no info or manuals included with home purchase. I've researched online for manuals. I'm a handy person- just need basic info... it must be top secret- I keep running into the same SALES PERSON who gives me a customer service number. I explained that I've tried to research online. I have to disagree. I've gotten great service from the parts department. My spa is 12 years old. I had some jets go out, they gave me a very discounted price. I had a pump go out after 7 years, paid full price on that one, put it in myself no big deal. Just today I went to get a gasket for one of the connectors that was leaking (again 1st one after 12 years), The parts guy GAVE it to me! He smiled and said "come back whenever we can help". Granted it's probably a cheap item for them, but they could have charged me $3 for it and I'd have been happy. I don't know how more customer friendly you can get. I'll go back. The parts department closes pretty early 4:30 I think. Working folk can't get there after work. That's the only bad part I see. I'll go back though. I'm retired. read more

We just had a tech come out and work through a handful of issues on a hot-tub we got used from a friend. He was very easy to work with (over the phone, I wasn't able to be home at the time of the scheduled visit). Very clear communicator and resolved the issues. Repaired parts come w/ a 1 year warranty ... which is great. IMHO. The prices seem reasonable given how extensive the work was and the number of failed / failing parts from a tub built back in 2005. I was going to do the diagnostic and replacement work myself ... except my multimeter pooped out. Glad I had them come out because there were more issues than I would have identified. Extremely well built spas and very energy efficient. Our St. Andrew is perfect...not too big (or expensive), easy to maintain, and the massage is out of this world. There might be cheaper brands online, but I've heard horror stories about short lifespan on those. My Clearwater has a 20 year warranty! Check them out, you won't be sorry. read more

I would STRONGLY advise that no one purchase a spa from Clear Water Spas. I purchased one and the dealer then went our of business which left me at the mercy of the corporate office. The spa itself is fine however in the 5 years that I have owned it a few things have come up requiring customer service. That is the "awful" part. I had no response and when someone did respond I was told how busy everyone there was. This is while my very expensive spa's heater did not work and I live in WY and It was February. Every time I needed assistance it was very cumbersome and I dreaded calling. Customer service is what sets companies apart that offer the same product or service and Clearwater did NOT deliver. As a spa service company we needed to reach out to Clearwater Spas for parts as they are proprietary. They were very slow with returning calls and not very helpful with support. I ordered parts in hopes that these would resolve the issue with the spa and they did not. Parts that they recommended. When I tried to return these parts I was told they do not take returns and that the problem was that "my tech misdiagnosed the issue and that is the bottom line". Unfortunately I am not sure that I will continue to work on any Clearwater Spas which is very unfortunate for the customers who have or will contact us. read more

We just purchased a Clearwater spa, we had a great experience with the staff, Chris was the best! Funny story, he had a family that came before us, they wanted the same spa as us.... I had a handshake deal, but he stopped short and said, I need to check with the family in front of you... they want the same tub... in the sales room.... well, as life happens, they purchased the tub we almost shook on! The VP of the company happened to be in the store, he made the other Orlando tub, meet my requirements, TPS report - is now part of my tub package! Local, Service and the US best made hot tub! Support Local Woodinville! Best Experience Period... we went to 20 stores.. and landed here... Well, I'll never give Clearwater any business. Just this evening I called and asked about repairing one of their spas (a friends that had been unused a few years) and moving it to a new home location. The sales person was helpful at first. When I asked if they moved spas he said no. When I indicated that moving it and repairing it would add a new customer to their portfolio he just said "we don't move spas, is that a problem?" When I pointed out that they deliverd spas didn't they, he just repeated the statement. I had never dealt with them before and now I know I will NEVER ever deal with them again. I quickly got on the web and found a local independent spa repair firm that was more than helpful in addressing the repair as well as the move. read more
