I found this place, and we were a bit concerned when we saw there were very few reviews and nonexistent on google maps. Weirdly enough, when I first looked on Yelp, there was one review, and that one got removed? There are zero reviews currently, and the person I was messaging through the Yelp app said they just started their Yelp page. In any case, I asked a lot of questions through Yelp, and although the responses weren't the warmest, they responded quickly and I kept asking for more information because they were the cheapest for the work I needed. They also sent me some photos on work they've done, although none of them showed paint jobs (or before / afters). One of their responses made me uncomfortable - other shops I asked for the same work said it'd take 2-3 days (and three to four times the price). When the person from Driveway Doctors came to take a look at the car, they said they'd have to do a glaze and a finish - and could do it in one day. We wanted to know how these two layers would dry in one day, and none of the other shops said they could do it in one day. The response I got was: "this is our profession, we have all the tools and equipment we need to get the job done right and with quick turn around". That didn't really answer my question, and I followed up to ask for a clarification - no response. Eventually, I called the number listed on Yelp, no response but a quick text follow-up. I asked to talk to the person who came to look at the car, and we talked on the phone. He was excellent and explained everything, name is Mena. If I hadn't thought of doing this, I likely would've dropped it and gotten the work done elsewhere because the person responding to me on Yelp didn't seem like someone who cared much about customer service. In any case, I'm glad I pushed through because Mena (or Isaac?) did an excellent job. I'm not entirely sure who ended up doing the work, because Mena came to look at the car, and Isaac is the person we ended up paying (my partner went to meet the person both times so I'm unsure who it was). They pick up your car and drive it to a rented place to work on it (or you can drop it off yourself), and they did a great job, can barely tell the car was ever scratched. Turns out the person who worked on it is currently in trade school, but it was solid work - at least for now. Hopefully the materials used are durable and don't start to fade. We're very happy with the work, I just think the customer service aspect can be greatly improved.

I'd see IM&H while driving up and down Gallatin so looked them up and popped in. Hear me know friends-believe the hype and good vibes dropped by previous sweet citizens who stopped in for their auto needs. The shop is clean, the staff is friendly and depending on the crowd you can get in and out super quick. My total time in the shop had to be less than 40 minutes, and I enjoyed some friendly banter with the shop owner and a Crane Operator from AL who was getting his truck taken care of in the other bay. Fast Forward a couple of days I I heard some rattling from the undercarriage. I stopped back by and the guys took care of a heat shield that had come lose. A quick spot weld and I was on my way-no charge! These guys are great, you won't be disappointed. I recommend them fully.

The "waiting room," if you want to call it that, is an old car bench seat in the office, and you might have to share that with the resident dog. Their location isn't high traffic or convenient. It's out of town, next to a rock quarry and where they park the school buses in Franklin. They don't do any fancy ads or claim any special promos, and if you need a shuttle - you might have to arrange that in conjunction with school schedules and who is doing the lunch run. But if you want a trustworthy mechanic, who earns a fair and honest living for himself and his employees, but isn't driving a big fancy car and living in a McMansion, then this is your place. Hubby and I have had work done on each of our cars over the years, and I've referred several local friends over the years, and have never been disappointed. He has the sophisticated diagnostic equipment to identify the problem and the advanced mechanical expertise to fix it. However, he is expensive and adds some gratuitous fees. Cost for 2-hour diagnostic assessment to identify faulty crankshaft sensor was $133.90/hr x 2 = $267.80 plus $50 service charge for total of $317.80 ($348.79 with tax). Cost for installation of new crankshaft sensor was $58.81 for the sensor, $130.00 for 1 hour of labor plus another $50 service charge for total of $238.81 ($262.09 with tax). I offered to pay with cash. Roberts said he preferred a credit card. However, he did not tell me there was a $31.96 "noncash adjustment/credit card fee.". There was also a $22.86 fee for mobile supplies. Altogether, the cost for diagnosis of faulty crankshaft sensor and replacement with a new one was $671.01. In addition to parts and labor, this included two $50 service charges, a $31.96 "noncash adjustment/credit card fee", a $22.86 mobile supplies fee and tax on the extra charges and fees. Since the final billing amount included 9.75% tax, the credit should have been for $54.88. I did check the "terms and conditions " on your website again to be sure that I hadn't overlooked anything. According to your website, you charge $130.00/hr for diagnostics. However, I was charged $133.90/hr. The amount of overcharge was $7.80 for two hours plus 0.76 tax = $8.56. Your website says nothing about a charge of $22.86 for mobile supplies that was added to my bill. Including tax, the amount of overcharge was $22.86 + $2.23 = $25.09. Your website also says nothing about a 5% "noncash adjustment / credit card fee" for paying with a credit card in lieu of cash. Including tax, the amount of overcharge was $31.96 + $3.12 = $35.08. So, the total outstanding overcharges are $4.88 + $8.56 + $25.09 + $35.08 = $73.61. By the way, I don't happen to think these oversights were intentional on your end. Rather, the software that you're using for billing appears to be much lower in quality than the sophisticated diagnostic software that you use to identify mechanical problems in motor vehicles. I hope we can get this sorted out. I really appreciate your willingness to work with me.
