The "waiting room," if you want to call it that, is an old car bench seat in the office, and you might have to share that with the resident dog. Their location isn't high traffic or convenient. It's out of town, next to a rock quarry and where they park the school buses in Franklin. They don't do any fancy ads or claim any special promos, and if you need a shuttle - you might have to arrange that in conjunction with school schedules and who is doing the lunch run. But if you want a trustworthy mechanic, who earns a fair and honest living for himself and his employees, but isn't driving a big fancy car and living in a McMansion, then this is your place. Hubby and I have had work done on each of our cars over the years, and I've referred several local friends over the years, and have never been disappointed. Last week I realized I needed two tires l, so the first place I thought of was Nashville Warehouse, of course! So I called on a Wednesday, gave the specifications of the tires I needed, and announced my intentions to bring my car in Saturday morning. He said that was fine. I took a half day off work and brought my car in at 7:30 AM Saturday morning as promised. The kind person at the counter said they may not have the tires I need and the warehouse is closed on Saturdays. I said "Oh, don't worry, the tires are here. I called ahead and ordered them." Nope, tires weren't there, and I lost $150 in salary because I took time off. So I decided to give them one more chance, because I love this place. I called today and this time, the man told me the warehouse is closed Saturday so he'll need to order the tires for me. Now we're getting somewhere. So he put me on hold............30 minutes later, still on hold, I gave up. During my next break at work, I called again. A nice lady answered and took down the specifications of the tires I needed. Third time is a charm. Oh wait... the business closes in 10 minutes so instead of shutting down their computers at 5:00 PM when they close, they shut them down at about 4:50. Call back tomorrow. Arrrrrggghhhh!!! My tires are practically bald and I'll have an accident by the time my favorite tire place gets these tires for me!!! I'm going to lose my mind!

The business moved to 606 Fesslers Lane but have the same number. When I arrived the owner shook mine and my wife's hand. After inspecting the truck, I was given a price (which I thought was fair) and was told the work would be completed that day. After only about 2 hours, they were done with the service and I was back on the road ready to take in Broadway street. Everyone at the shop was polite and helpful-they even took us into the bay to physcially show us the problem. I'm glad I was able to find this shop. Although I hope to not have to use them again, I know where to take my vehicle if there's a problem the next time I'm in Nashville.

I'd see IM&H while driving up and down Gallatin so looked them up and popped in. Hear me know friends-believe the hype and good vibes dropped by previous sweet citizens who stopped in for their auto needs. The shop is clean, the staff is friendly and depending on the crowd you can get in and out super quick. My total time in the shop had to be less than 40 minutes, and I enjoyed some friendly banter with the shop owner and a Crane Operator from AL who was getting his truck taken care of in the other bay. Fast Forward a couple of days I I heard some rattling from the undercarriage. I stopped back by and the guys took care of a heat shield that had come lose. A quick spot weld and I was on my way-no charge! These guys are great, you won't be disappointed. I recommend them fully.

My husband broke down in Nashville Tennessee about 4 miles away from Specialized Truck Repair. He…read morecalled them to tow him in and to see what was wrong with his truck. They quoted him $709 to tow him 4 miles. When they got there the price went up to over $1000. That was the first red flag. Once there a tech looked it over and found that he needed completely new air compressor and all the hardware and hoses that goes with it. This was on a Monday morning. I called and asked for a parts list and to see what all we were looking at. They did not have one as of yet. I called on Tuesday to see if they had a parts list and an estimated time of when the repairs would be completed. I was told that they didn't have a parts list as of yet. I called back on Tuesday and was told that they didn't know what all they needed but they knew they needed an air compressor and a dryer and the hoses and seals and gaskets. I called MHC to see if they had the parts and how much they were going to be. MHC did have the parts there and could be picked up at any time. I call back to STR and tell them that MHC has all the parts they need and was told that I could go get the parts but they would not warranty them. I told them that I was just trying to help them get the parts so that my husband could get back in the road. In Wednesday they told me that they had a complete parts list and would order the parts as soon as we paid the parts deposit. They also said that the total bill would be around $4100. My husband went ahead and paid the whole bill and they were going to order the parts. On Thursday they said that the parts would be here after 2 and they could get started on it. On Friday they said that they would have the parts after 10:00 am and that a tech was starting right not. The repairs would be finished by the end of the day. At 5:00 the truck was still not finished and the techs were upset because they wanted to leave. They had to stay until after 6:00 to finish. Then we found out that he still couldn't leave because they had blocked his trailer in and everyone had left. We had to wait until Saturday morning to get someone to come in and move things so that he could get out. This was bad but we figured it's fixed and we will just never use them again. If only that were true. My husband started back to work on the following Monday. He drove on Tuesday and then on Wednesday the brand new air compressor that had just been put in had blown. So now he is on the side of the road again with the same problem he had before. He calls STR and finds out that they will not stand behind their work and blames it on the part. We get it to our mechanic and as soon as he looked it he immediately said that the problem was a mechanical error. The tech at STR had cross threaded the hose and used a used fitting instead of a new one. This caused the hose to loosen and to blow the new air compressor. So now we are down again and need the same repair done again. STR was called and the receptionist was extremely rude. She inform me to take it back to MHC where they got the part and make them swap it out. When I told her that it was not the part she informed me that their techs did nothing wrong. MHC told us that they had this problem with them before. I pulled out my invoice and saw that they had charged us $1800 for the air compressor when in reality it was only $1200. Wish that we had read the reviews before we used them but when you are sitting in the side of the road you just don't think of that. This business is not what it says it is. They will over charge you and their work is shody at best. Now here we are having to buy another air compressor. They charged us $78 for a gasket they didn't even buy. They used glue to try to make a gasket. They charged us for bolts $4 a piece that they could have gotten at Lowes for $1.38. These people are the worst. I would not recommend them to work on a Tonka truck much less a real one. All they will do is give you the runaround and then charge you by the minute for it. Might as well throw your money away. If I could I would rate it a negative-300 or more
