Absolutely enjoyed coming here and getting my feet done. This establishment was clean, well sanitized, and booking was easy. Although depending on which service you are requesting, there was a wait list, but i didn't mind. They are a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Top quality service! All the staff were friendly, and inviting. My nail technician Alicia was welcoming, friendly and kept the conversations going. I'm not a big talker, but i enjoyed the small talk. I am very upset with this business. I booked a pedicure and was looking forward to the appt. but the night before I stepped on broken glass and cut my foot. I'm diabetic and thought it best to re schedule after it healed. I tried to do it online but they require a phone call. I left two messages, since they never answer their phones! While waiting to hear back I was notified that a transaction was pending on my credit card. I reported the $ 25 fee to Goldman Sachs and cancelled my card on file with the spa. An hour later the spa finally called me back and said that is their cancellation policy. Their policies and customer service are horrendous. A classic waterless pedicure is a medical pedi in Podiatrist offices everywhere but here. Here it means no foot soaking. They dont bother to describe their "classic waterless pedi" with some water in the menu, so don't expect the detailed attention to your feet that a genuine waterless pedi, without nail fungus, gives. This was not even the quality of a salon pedi without water. You'd be better off at a salon for this service. I didn't bother to book the foo foo medical pedi with the doctor. I didn't want to be disappointed again. The attendant was kind, however, the intake sheet that you complete before coming, she never saw it. They could have known my expectations for a real waterless pedi, which is not necessarily done by a doctor, when I arrived. This experience could have been avoided by describing their service. A reasonable person would expect this service to be the waterless pedi offered at a doctor's office, without description, but by its common definition, being medical in nature. read more

I was so excited to treat myself to the "Ultimate Pedicure" at Clean Spa for my birthday 7/13. I walked in hopeful and sure that this was going to be the best pedicure I've ever had. But I left in actual tears. Don't be fooled by the name, it may be clean, but it is in no way a spa and it is the least relaxing experience I've ever had. They share a space with an attached podiatry office, which makes sense, but does not give you a feeling of luxury, especially not with what they're charging for their pedicures. The check in lady, guided me to their limited wall of polish colors. They don't do gel, okay, fine, not a problem, but would have been nice before hand. But she informs me of their special "gel-like polish." What she failed to inform me of was the upcharge for it. My tech, Gita, was late for my appointment. She took me to their zero-gravity chair room, where I reminded her I had gel on my toes, to which she rolled her eyes at, shaming me while she said "gel? tsk tsk." Terrible beginning. She begrudgingly removes the gel, moves me back to my seat, and begins the process. These "zero-gravity" chairs are the most uncomfortable spa chairs I've ever had the displeasure to sit in. Gita's technique to remove a callus? File it down with a disposable paper file- probably the least effective callus-remover. Gita rushed through the entire process, including what I'm sure she considered a "massage." Which, was in fact, just the lightest foot rub ever known to man-kind. Gita concluded the service by haphazardly slopping on the polish that she got all over my cuticles and outside of the actual nail. When she considered the experience to be over she got up and informed that she was going to her next client. Checking out, I was finally informed of the upcharge on the polish I selected (which was not informed of up front). I can understand charging a removal fee for the gel, that's normal. But to charge extra for a "gel-like" polish, which is absolutely not gel, but rather just a normal quick dry polish, and definitely not worth paying extra for. The total ended up being $124.45 with tip. Not a single second of the horrendous experience was worth such a hefty price tag. Leaving in tears, on a day when I was supposed to be celebrating myself, was the highlight of my time at Clean Spa. I couldn't recommend this establishment less even if I tried. read more

Spa lives up to its name. It was very cleanly. They had guidelines for social distancing. My pedicure service was done by Wonder and they did a very nice job. I don't like my feet being touched b/c I'm super ticklish, but a pedicure before sandal season is a necessary evil. I had a shockingly negative experience. I booked "the ultimate" pedicure, a 75 minute service with all the bells and whistles. Drove 30 minutes past countless nail salons to go there. The "spa" itself is a literal doctor's office- it was so un-spa-like that I thought I was in the wrong place...felt like getting a pedicure at the dentist's office. This is what is advertised on the website for the Ultimate Pedicure: - service length 75 minutes, warm neck wrap, aromatherapy oils, hot towel foot compression, deep hydration treatments, zero gravity chair - Photo shows a woman in a blanket with eye mask and neck wrap My appointment was with Gita Adhikari. The service she provided did not remotely match what was advertised. - No blanket, eye mask, or warm neck wrap were offered - She used a scrub for about 30 seconds total and wiped it off with a towel (by the way, this is a waterless pedicure) - The massage was her gloves on my dry skin. She half-heartedly massaged for 15-30 seconds per foot (no calf massage) and it was so uncomfortable I was about to ask if she had any lotion she could use, but then she stopped massaging. Not what you'd expect from an "ultimate" pedicure. - She used a cheap, flexible, throw away nail file as the exfoliation tool on calluses, which was completely ineffective. I've never seen that before. They don't have one time use exfoliating implements here? But charge $88 for a pedicure?? - When she finished 45 minutes early (!) I mentioned I thought I'd booked the ultimate, she responded "that was the ultimate" - When I brought up what was missed, Gita argued with me - She showed me a small packet of lotion, not even fully used, that she claimed was the advertised "deep hydration" - I asked about the advertised blanket, eye mask, warm neck wrap. She offered me the blanket but the pedicure was over and I was putting on my shoes to leave, so that just came off as defensive and rude. She had no excuse why I never received any other aspect of the "cocoon" that's pictured and mentioned on their website, except that I had the room to myself. What's that got to do with a warm neck wrap? - I'd declined polish and she blamed that for cutting the service 45 minutes short The experience was worse than the average $30 pedicure you can get anywhere. Management thought a $20 reduction in the cost was appropriate and when I expressed my dissatisfaction with that outcome they simply stopped responding. I recommend if you try this place (don't), pay with an American Express card so you have protection from scams like these. read more

I went for a Pedi Prep and Pedicure at Clean Spa. I have had PediPrep in past with no problems but this was first time I had pedicure too. The pedicure was waterless. When I got home I had blisters on my toes and the soles of my feet had rashes. When I got into the shower my feet burned so badly I couldn't finish the shower. I went in a few days later for a different appointment and showed the staff members my feet which were still raw and irritated. We took pictures of them I put Neosporin on them and they have started to heal. I asked for my money back but have not received it yet. I have no plans to return to this Spa again read more

For anyone who has ever had their nostrils assailed by the smell of acetone or had to endure the noise of an acrylic-nail-driller at the adjacent chair, CleanSpa is a welcome reprieve. Located next to a podiatry center, CleanSpa specializes in nail services (including fungal infection/removal and even prosthetic nails) in addition to the customary manicure and pedicure offerings. The interior is mainly white, with a pared-down aesthetic that still manages to feel soothing, rather than stark. Throughout my time here, the service was attentive, and I appreciated having the opportunity to consult with an on-site podiatrist about two big toenails that had gotten banged up during a running incident. The selection of polishes is not as comprehensive as at other storefront manicure places, but the quality is high and there are no off-brands or caked/crusty bottle tops in sight. The experience was definitely more relaxed than the usual get-in-get-out quickly scenarios and I'll admit that the amount of time (just over two hours) that I spent in the chair was not exactly as I'd envisioned. I only wish that I had known about the timeframe in advance so that I could plan, but overall, no complaints about the quality or service. For those in search of the latest trends in nail art (acrylics, long-lasting polishes, etc.) it might be a good idea to look elsewhere. So, I rarely take the time to complain on here but today after my visit to CLEANSPA for a pedicure, I am very disappointed. I told the gal when I got there that I had to have my OPI printed lacquer polish removed so I came early. She said ok and proceeded. Only when I went to pay did I find out that they charged me $25 to remove the polish! As for the pedicure itself, clearly the person had no idea how to use the stones for a stone pedicure, so that was also disappointing. My gal was not personable, cold, kept asking me to hold my foot way up in the air - spent 6 minutes asking me why I would put those OPI printed polishes on my toes until I finally said "I like them!" My review is for a specific service that I received here- eyelash extensions. Put bluntly, they're horrible and I would venture a guess that the technician is relatively new at applying lash extensions. The spa was very clean, everyone was polite and friendly and the lash tech was sweet and professional acting. However, these lashes are a mess. I was told to comb them with a clean spoolie and that they'd start to look more natural so I have been but they are just not good. It has been a bit over a week and the extensions are crooked and stuck together in clumps near the roots. I can actually see the glue clumps, I mean. I've tried to very carefully comb thru the clumps but without pulling out my real lashes it is not possible to correct these myself. It looks like I've got on a couple of coats of clumpy, spidery mascara. Blah. You get what you pay for I guess, and I had a Groupon, so I'm not too upset but it does look stupid and was a waste of money. I've been gently coating coconut oil on the lashes today to loosen the glue bonds. It'll take a while but I'm certainly not gonna go pay more money to get this nonsense removed. Additionally, with the Groupon I had paid for a mini manicure or something, to be done while the extensions were applied. I never received it and the tech had no idea what I was even talking about. I won't return but I think with more practice eventually the girl will be better at lash extensions but for now I would not do anything other than a regular ol pedicure here. read more

Tough crowd in the reviews. My experience was much different than those listing here. As a male, it was a bit intimidating to walk into a spa, especially one of this caliber. After filling out my paperwork, I was brought back to the pedicure area. As a man that performs manual labor in the trades, I was made comfortable by the therapist that handled my feet, assuring me that she has dealt with much worse. Aahh-mazing! This was my first time at Clean Spa. The price was pretty decent. The front desk area was very clean and the staff was helpful and polite. They have various products for sale that are reasonably priced. I was never pressured into buying anything. Jackie was amazing. She was funny, polite, attentive and gave a great foot massage. I swear she hit every spot that made me relax. I picked out my polish, got settled and was given a heated neck roll while my feet soaked. I got the fragrance free pedicure, and even got some extra lotion for my hands and arms. I will definitely be going back when I'm visiting my sister in STL. read more

This place was terrible. I paid $88 for an anti gravity spa. My feet are as dry as they were when I entered. Massage was pathetic. Technician would not be quiet. Manicure was equally poor. Me and my mom went here to try somewhere a little different. Staff was nice and informative. A little pricey for what it is but it was very clean and I like that they use new files for every customer. I recently had a pedicure and a gel manicure done here by Wonder. Wonder is a nice person, but she is very slow. The gel manicure chipped within four days. I've never had that happen. Their choices for nail color are very limited. This isn't worth the money you pay. read more

I went in on Sat afternoon about 3:30 and stood in reception area for a bit before anyone came out and greeted me. When they finally approached me -they said they were closed. I inquired about Sunday appt and they said yes they were starting to take appts on Sunday and they had one opening left at 3:15. I said great put me down for it! They said I should get there by 3:05 to fill out some paperwork before my appt. Sunday at just a minute or two after 3:00PM I walked in and was told that I was right on time. They handed me the forms to complete offered me a water and advised me to go sit on one of the chairs in the reception area to fill out the paperwork. After I sat down the young lady at the front desk asked me if I wanted a neck roll. I said no thank you... That was mistake # 1. I strongly advise if you are getting the standard $50 pedicure to take the neck roll. The chairs for standard pedicure I found to be uncomfortable only from the standpoint of the position your head is in... If I had gotten the neck roll.... I would have been very comfortable. Anyway.... back to the waiting room.... did I say waiting room instead of reception area? Yelp - I said waiting room.. and that is exactly what I did ... I waited and waited and waited .. while the 2 young girls whispered something to one another that I am quite certain was about my wait..... Unfortunately, they did not think I should be advised that my technician was not able to take me for awhile... Finally, after sitting there for 25 minutes I asked what time they closed, when they take there last appt... etc.. I was told that they would close after the technician finished my pedicure... Dear Young Pretty Girls, please be respectful of my time and at least advise me that I am going to have a bit of wait... perhaps engage me in some conversation.. to keep me at bay.. instead of leaving me to wonder and start a slow boil about what the hell is going on? The soothing music ... was doing very little to calm the agitation that was growing inside of me. Ok -- she finally shows... yeah.. I get taken back! woohooo ! I nestled in to the chair... and start to come down..... UNTIL... the cute young girls (that I do not think have ever paid $50 for a pedicure) decide it is now time to clean so they can get the hell out of dodge when the technician is finished with my pedicure... So Cutie Pie proceeds to turn on the turbo jet water next to me to clean the pedicure bowl.. she leaves turbo jet on for no less than 30 minutes! Blasting away right next to me! Then she starts cleaning the flipping floor with a metal rolling broom thing that you see used in restaurants.. it's squealing and screeching across the beautiful floor. ok now she finishes that and then starts the swiffer .. every 5 seconds I hear the cleaning solution squirt out.. the doors are being banged as they get out cleaners,, empty trash cans etc.....OMG am I suppose to be relaxing or watching a cleaning crew?? Well peeps if you are looking for clean -- this place has it going on... believe me I am an official eyewitness! Now onto the pedi....GREAT pedicure! I mean VERY meticulous! My toes looked better than they have ever looked after a pedi! Plus she did not rush me out either .. she spent more time on me than was allotted on the menu of pedicures... I don't know if it was guilt as I had to wait so darn long.. or if she just makes sure it is done right.... at any rate I give her 5 stars for the actual pedi! What I would have liked ....was more massage though... but i guess that is when you come back and get the reflexology... which is in a private room... I think you need to add on another $30 at least to get that treat... which I really wished I had brought my crystal ball with me and known that I could have gotten a relaxing and QUIET massage in a private room away from the cutest cleaning ladies I have ever seen. It would have been worth $30 more for sure. Anyway - the place is the cleanest place I have ever been in for a pedi... but I think they need to engage and inform the customer when they are running late and they should clean AFTER the last customer is gone. I became a client of Clean Spa about 2 years ago. Was introduced by a friend of mine and immediately became hooked. If you are looking for a $20 pedicure, this is not the place for you. However, if you are seeking high quality service and products -- believe me, it's worth every penny you'll spend. My favorite services are the Luxury Pedicure, Detox Pedicure and the Mani/Pedi on the Go. The Luxury Pedicure is the top service offered. The pedicure is given while you relax in a Zero Gravity chair with a warm neck roll and warm towel. The staff will even provide you with a cup of hot tea or bottled water - which I thought was a special touch. The attention to detail and your needs during this service is incredible. The Detox pedicure includes a foot reflexology service. If you've got tired, achy feet - the reflexology is such a treat. The good thing is that the reflexology service can be purchased as a stand alone service. The Mani/Pedi on the go is the most economical service. This gives a basic pedicure and manicure if a full service is not required. When you go to Clean Spa, you aren't overcome with chemicals and fumes. There is relaxing music playing and the staff works very hard for each and every one of their clients. Once you try Clean Spa, you probably won't ever want to go anywhere else. This will be my last appointment at Clean Spa. I scheduled a Keratin Manicure with Kassie as I have had her before and was pleased. When I arrived for my appointment on Friday 1/27 a lady at the front desk with Kassie said Kassie was going to be training for something else and that I would have another manicurist. I feel l should of had a courtesy call to let me know the situation and see if I wanted to schedule with someone else. I assume Kassie was training for the front desk because she checked me out when I left. I don't understand why she couldn't of done my manicure as scheduled and did her training afterwards. After all I am the customer but apparently that does not mean anything. I paid for a Keratin Manicure and it was given by a young girl that had never done one before. I didn't have my hands in warm mittens or wrapped in warm towels as I have in the past. In fact the little girl even told me that my hands were cold, that she could feel them through her plastic gloves. I did not get the cuticles removed and she tried 3-4 times to apply polish but she did not remove the keratin from my nails before polishing so the polish had bumps of keratin in it. She had to call Kassie over to find out why the polish was not going on smoothly. I told her that the manicurist in the past always wiped the nails clean before applying polish. I finally told her to just put clear polish on which I still had to remove when I got home because it was not smooth. I would not of had a problem at all if they had a new trainee do my nails and had an experienced nail tech sit with us to walk her through the process. That would of been fine and the proper training she needed. But to just put a new girl on the floor and expect her to do it on her own is not right. She told me that she had never done a Keratin manicure before. I do not blame the little girl that did my manicure at all. I blame the Management for not training her properly. Management should of made sure she was completely knowledgeable on the different manicures before they left her on her own. I wish the little girl well because I think she will have the talent and skills to be a good manicurist as long as the Management gives her the proper training which clearly Management is not doing. I did not disclose the little girl's name because this review is not aimed at her but at MANAGEMENT. I am very disappointed that I had to pay extra for a service that I did not receive. read more

Denise of Clean Spa went above and beyond with the most gentle quality care any professional can give. My sister was dying of cancer. Trying to make her feel better, I wanted her to feel beautiful. I called Denise and explained the situation as my sister required extra special care. Denise was the BEST ever!!! My sister was so happy with her pretty nails and the lovely manicure and pedicure. It made her happy for the last few days of her life. I can not thank Denise enough for her kind tender care of my sister. I will always patronize Clean Spa. First visit, wonderful! Due to spinal surgery and nerve damage, I was unable to sit for a pedicure in their traditional spa chair, so I was led to a zero gravity chair, which worked out great. I was told my account would be marked, and I would automatically receive pedicures in this type of chair, as I am medically unable to use their spa chair. Upon my next visit, I was told I would be charged for using the zero gravity chair, as the person who told me that was not authorized to do so. Again, I explained the situation, and was told by the tech I needed a doctors note, or the manager's approval. I asked why this wasn't done before my appointment instead of waiting until now? I also asked for a regular chair. The technician continued to argue, and told me to just sit down and do the manicure first and wait for the manager to be available. The spa experience was broken; someone is mis-identifying this spa as a caring medical facility. It was in my best interest to leave. I won't go back. Can you imagine arguing over a chair?!!
