I personally handed it to her in perfect condition to help connect her to the Bluetooth and when I got it back, it was clearly damaged, as if it had been dropped. I reached out to the owner (Tee Efendija ) who immediately denied any wrongdoing saying she didn't use my speaker but I was at my house during the time of service and physically handed her my speaker, hooking it up to Bluetooth so she could play as she said "Mexican music" . I explained that to him in which he then offered to "replace" it--but only if I gave him my broken speaker in return. Excuse me? That's my personal property. I didn't buy it from you, and you don't get to take it just because your team broke it. I did not buy the speaker from him. This was my own personal property that he was demanding I give to him. Instead of just doing the right thing (accountability and / or remedying the situation) , he gaslit me, made excuses, and then tried to claim they were being generous with their "goodwill offer"--which they later revoked when I wouldn't hand over the broken item. The whole thing feels sketchy, dishonest, and frankly like a scam to be honest. Even when booking the service, their methods for payment were very sketchy and not secure or a common practice for receiving payment. I've been more than patient and civil, but the lack of accountability is alarming. Definitely the place to go if you want mold in your attic…read more Bought a townhome in 2014 that had the entire complex's roof done by these guys. First of all, they didn't do a tear off, but put plywood on top of the existing roof. There was so much debris left over in the attic, as well. Guess the building went with the lowest bid, so you get what you paid for. At any rate, they closed up all the roof vents with the plywood and installed ridge venting. I suppose this would work if the intake vents at the eaves were big enough to actually suck in the air, but since the roofers installed these tiny circular vents, no air was coming in the vent the attic. As a result, there is mold growing in the attics of all the townhomes. Of the 4 units that have gone for sale, all inspectors found mold. Because of the age of these buildings, the bathrooms were not properly vented out, but vented into the attic. That is why there were vents on the roof, as the bathroom exhausts were pointed toward these openings. Because these roofers closed them up, moisture was trapped and mold resulted. I had another roofer inspect the job this company did, and he informed me that the poor ventilation from the so-call ridge venting is perpetuating the problem. So I contacted the roofers and they claimed to have NO responsibility for the mold or the poor job they did on the roof. He refused to put in roof vents and claimed it wasn't their problem. I have since remediated the mold and have had roof vents put back into MY unit, but the other 7 have not. It's so sad that this company could care less about the health of their customers and would knowingly put people at risk like this. I'm going to look into this matter further and see if legal action can be taken. Update: Their response: Hah. Tgat some of reason whay we never do a second layer of shingles. I cant provide roof warranty for my customers If i didnt remove existing layers

We were selling my mother's home in the Northwest suburbs and needed a deep cleaning before listing…read moreit. I called Janelle from Simple Spaces on a Friday to get a quote for a move-out cleaning. As of the following Monday at 2pm I hadn't heard back, so I decided to call again should my message have been lost. When I called back I reached Janelle and she said, "Oh, is this so-and-so, in XXX? Oh, yeah, unfortunately I don't go to your area" Ok, so I guess she didn't want to bother calling someone back who is not in her service area. Ok, fine, but here are my issues: A. This company does not list a service area on their website or on Angie's List where they're also listed. I could have saved a little time had that info been posted. B. After telling me she doesn't service the suburbs, she proceeded to ask when I needed a crew and I told her anytime after Friday and she said, "I wouldn't be able to get a crew there on Friday." She just told me that she doesn't service my area, but then asks when I need someone? As though she might consider coming to my area? Also, I told her anytime AFTER Friday and she said she couldn't get a crew to me ON Friday, even though I said anytime after Friday. Next... Why is it so hard to find a good highly rated house cleaning service in the Northwest suburbs!? I called three high rated cleaning companies for a quote (one was this company, previously named Simple Spaces) and only one called me back. I guess business is booming, so much so that no one needs additional business. If I'm outside of your service area, then just tell me so I don't waste my time calling you back. Better yet, post your service area on your website and anywhere else you advertise. For an awesome cleaning service that will travel outside of the city, see my other reviews.

We had decided to use Sanitec to clean our home windows because of a promotion they were running…read more The promotion was for anywhere from 19 to 26 windows for $100. After going through the house and counting up the total number of windows I had 23 windows, which fell within their promotion range. The second tier of their promotion was anything from 35 to 50 windows would be $150. In all of their ad copy for the promotion it stated "windows" and if you were to go to Home Depot today and purchase a "window" I'm sure that you would expect to get a full "window" that would most likely match what would be in your imagination when you think of what a window looks like. The problem I have is that the promotion is a BAIT and SWITCH scam in the way that when they showed up and they counted my windows they came up with a total of 51 windows! That is because they calculate a window by the total number of panes in that window. So your standard window, which has a top pane and a bottom pane counts as two windows. All of a sudden the price became quite more expensive. I now fell into the second tier of 35 to 50 windows for $150 and on top of that because I had that one extra window they tried to charge me an additional $25 per window (pane) after the 50 windows have been reached. With a bit of an argument back-and-forth they comped me my one extra window so that was no charge. But to go from $3 dollars per window cleaning to $25 seems a bit much. The only reason why this review is 2 stars and not 1 is because they actually did a good job and my windows are extremely clean now but be warned that what they consider to be a "window" is not what the rest of the world and society considers to be a "window".

The Bad Cleaning :…read moreFor a deep cleaning they did a good job on surface items (floors, windows, kitchen). Where the cleaning fell short was upon walking thru after the cleaning and finding 2 of the bathrooms and mudroom had not been cleaned thoroughly. Showers were untouched/forgotten, mudroom floor was still dirty (which I didn't see until after they left but that's due to other reasons outlined below). The Ugly Where things went downhill: Some background: we moved in to our home and within 48hours we had Mia's team come out to clean before anything else. No furniture, we had not moved in, we had not even brought anything into the home until after we knew it would be cleaned. The home was newly painted and all the floors were newly resurfaced/stained. Cleaning began on the main floor and during the cleaning of the blinds in the family room one of the cleaners pulled too hard on the blinds causing them to dislocate from the brackets and fall to the ground. This resulted in the following damage: 1. Wall was knocked and paint was scraped 2. There was a dent on the newly finished hardwood floors 3. One of the blinds cracked (found after having them mounted back up). 4. The bracket holding up the blinds was damaged My initial reaction was frustration. I had been in the kitchen prepping when I saw the blinds fall to the ground. I started noticing the cleaner opening the blinds but putting her whole body weight in the pulls and sensed she was not using good judgment in how to handle them but before I could make a comment the blinds fell to the ground. I walked over and saw quickly the damage to the wall and floor and became upset. We called Mia and she came over to assess. Where things went south was Mia's complete mishandling and dismissal of rectifying the situation. 1. I had asked to get her insurance info and she did not provide it stating she preferred to handle it outside of insurance for fear of premiums going up. My husband and I understood that the damage was not super extensive and didn't want the local business to take a hit over something we could likely come to an agreement on based on discussions with Mia. We just wanted it fixed and to move on. Thankfully no one was injured and said we'd try to work it out another way. We asked she send a copy of it via email for us to keep on record in case she ghosted us (which she said she understood and appreciated us not taking the insurance route but never did in the 3+ weeks of reaching out- that was our fault for trusting her). 2. We received an email from her after 1.5 weeks stating they had no part in the obvious damage that was present on our walls or floor. Instead her email cites "experts" that said damage was done previously and was not a result of the blinds that she does admit fell due to her workers handling them. These "experts" that provided their "analysis" of the damage in the email screenshots never once came to our home to assess their quotes on the damage. No one came to look at the walls or floor, but somehow they were able to come to the conclusion that the damage was preexisting (repeat here that the house was just closed on 2 days prior with newly painted walls, and newly finished floors; no damage to any other parts of the floor on the entire main level or damage to paint on the walls). 3. I was polite in all my text messages and voicemails asking for a call back. At no point did I think I was defensive or rude. I had explained to her during our beginning conversations that we'd work something out and gave her 2-3 options on how we could proceed (comping us for 2-3 cleanings, reimbursing us for getting the damage fixed ourselves, having her contacts come out and do the repairs as long as they were licensed, or going thru insurance). At the end of the day all we wanted was to be made whole on the damage that was incurred due to her company's mishandling. She did not return my phone calls, and stopped responding altogether after her email to us outlining how she was not at fault. Truly so disappointed in how this was handled. There could have been many ways to handle this as a professional and still keep their reputation and integrity intact. I would never recommend this company to anyone, and would advise anyone to use some other cleaning service. I have given 1 star because Mia's sister and team that did the cleaning was understanding and attentive to cleaning concerns and addressed areas after pointing them out. They were professional. Everything else has been rated due to the poor attention to the deep clean and the obvious mishandling of the damage done to our property and lack of concern, followup and accountability in creating the damage by trying to put it on "preexisting damages" of which there was none.

We went back and forth about price, then he told me he would match price if I show him the quote. Maybe he should have spoke up 2 days ago,and said that. He might have got the job. Not now!!!
