But it's also a testament that after almost a year in, we've had no issues whatsoever. From the site survey to Final inspection by the City, Ryan and team was there every step of the way. I'm not going to attempt to repeat what's already been said in all the 5 star reviews (which are all correct, but also repetitive). I am offering an alternative view if skepticism remains. The ultimate reason why we chose Saber Roofing, over other quotes that were at or below his quote, was because of the negative reviews. Stay with me here. When you have a multi-decade longstanding business, it is statistically impossible to maintain 100% satisfaction. If you want to understand trustworthiness or how the inner workings of a company is run at a glance, one must look at how the unsatisfied customers were dealt and treated. In all recent cases, you will see each and every claim was handled with compassion and respect with an intent to understand the issue, correct and better themselves going forward. That, IMO, is the hallmark of a great business to deal with. After starting the job, they solidified that hypothesis as I observed the attitudes & dispositions of those working in the "trenches" (or roof in this case). Everyday that the team showed up, all carried great smiles with positive team banter and a general sense of happiness being on site. This only happens when employees are treated well and with respect. We have dealt with numerous home projects in the past and can tell you this is a rarity. I am very…read morehappy that I chose Saber Roofing for plenty of reasons. 1) The owner, Ryan, met with me to discuss the work and was very thorough and helpful in answering all my questions. 2) Important details were covered including adding a rain chain in a location where a downspout would have been unsightly (picture attached). Among the details, the rain chain is made of copper while the gutter is made of aluminum. Having these two metals come in contact could compromise the aluminum over time. So, Saber installed the copper rain chain with a protective barrier. 3) Their client service and sales director, Jake, was super helpful and extremely responsive to all my questions. 4) The crew was very efficient, provided high quality workmanship, and left the site spotless. 5) The gutter guards that were installed provide a really fine barrier to prevent even small debris from entering my gutters, but are easy to rinse so that fine particles can be washed through the gutters. 6) The two downspouts that were installed were matched to the color of our trim. Other companies offer limited colors or simply white downspouts, but Saber offers a wide variety. 7) Their pricing is very competitive. From end to end, this was a great experience and I highly recommend Saber Roofing.

We engaged a roofer to assess several rust-through spots occurring on five long panels. Upon…read moreinspection, the roofer immediately attributed the cause of the rust to the solar installer, effectively deflecting responsibility. However, the evidence does not support this conclusion. Our roof consists of two levels, and we observed rust on several spots across five long panels--many of which are not adjacent to the solar installation. Furthermore, the upper level of the roof, which has no solar panels whatsoever, also exhibits couple similar rust spots. These observations strongly suggest that the rust is not caused by the solar installation but rather stems from a material or manufacturing defect. Despite these panels carrying a 50-year life warranty, the roofer was quick to claim that the rust is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty. This is deeply disappointing, particularly given the clear evidence that the damage extends well beyond any area impacted by the solar work. The roofer demonstrated no willingness to help address the issue and offered no solution for the roof leak currently occurring at the lower level. The lack of accountability and absence of any proposed remediation is unacceptable given the scope of the defects observed.

Alexa showed us a sheet of paper with color options for the aluminum material while Juan took measurements. Then Alexa gave us a quote on the spot, which was very reasonable. Once we gave the go-ahead, we got on their calendar, but we needed to do the job in two phases because we were also having the house painted. So Alexa said they could send a crew on one date to remove the old gutters, then come back after painting was done to install the new ones -- two visits, included in a single price. We also asked for sample swatches of three colors to understand how they would look on the aluminum material next to our new paint colors before deciding so Alexa dropped those swatches off at our house another day. The actual removal and installs happened very smoothly and quickly, done by highly experienced crews who worked efficiently and carefully to avoid any damage to the house or the fresh paint job. But a couple days after the install was done, my husband noticed a couple small items that needed fixing, so we contacted Alexa who said they would send a crew to fix them -- and they did so promptly. Throughout this project, whenever we had a special request, Alexa replied "No problem, we can do that for you" and it was handled.
