Had my tuxedo and dress shirt drycleaned here after a recent wedding in a tropical climate. Pricing seemed very reasonable for the shirt ($4-5) and considerably more for the tux ($28) - but not out of the ordinary. Both items were cleaned well and on time with no issues. Knocking a star off because I turned up with a wriggling baby in my arms and could have used some help moving the suit from the plastic wrap into my suit bag but the staff seemed disinterested in lending a hand for a minute. read more

Service was terrible, called to ask pricing on dry cleaning. When I showed up, was told 3X the one quoted on phone. Showed a stain to be addressed, the owner put a sticker next to it. When picking up, stain was still there. Bait and switch doesn't quite sit right with me. Never using them again. read more

I went to this location because they responded to the Yelp bid that I put out. They did respond well after everyone else but hey, they responded and had lower prices. I paid $32 to get two peacoats cleaned. I came in and drop my jackets off, it seemed a little cluttered but it's a dry cleaner. I paid and they told me to come back the following Tuesday, which was 5 days away due to a backlog. I wasn't in a hurry so I gave them my jackets and left. I drove back that following Tuesday they gave me my jackets and I didn't check them because the two employees inside were not wearing a mask. I didn't feel comfortable since COVID-19 is raging so I took my jackets and left. When I got home it was evident that they didn't dry clean my jackets. They actually had pet hair on them which wouldn't be that bad but I don't have pets. So some other Orinda resident's pet hair was on my jackets and they just gave them back. I called in and was told to bring them back. I took the jackets back and I met the owner a pleasant short lady with black hair, she was maskless as well as one other employee. Out of the three employees, only one had a mask, odd. They promptly took my jackets and told me to come back on Friday, another 3 days. The owner also said she had been in Montana for the past two weeks during COVID-19, but she did get a test and came back negative, which was reassuring but still she doesn't wear a mask or enforce her employees to either. Ok, came back on Friday. Again only one employee had a mask and the other didn't the woman told me she needed more time, come back on Tuesday. Drove back that Tuesday, which was about 14 days when I initially dropped them off. In the past when I got my jackets dry cleaned they came back kinda stiff and clean looking. My jackets looked like they got lint rolled and that is it. They didn't look or feel dry cleaned. At that point I will pay for them to be cleaned somewhere else I just wanted them back. I give them 2 stars because at least they were kinda nice and friendly and, it was eventually kinda done albeit bad quality. I mean I guess I paid $32 for someone to lint roll the jackets and they put the jackets in plastic so there is that. I wouldn't go back or recommend anyone to. If they aren't gonna do your clothes in a timely manner, continually half do their dry cleaning, and openly flaunt health codes (not wearing masks) then I would rather pay someone else. read more

This place is wonderful! I had to have a bridesmaid dress altered, and because it was a cheaper gown, i asked if they could add some jeweled appliqué I bought separately. Not only did they fit and hem it beautifully, they also added the appliqué, and removed boning inside - restitching the seams to make it fit me better. I cannot believe how inexpensive it was for the fitting and alterations I was given. Also it was cleaned and pressed beautifully. So happy! And will return for future work like this! read more

I felt like I was racially profiled by this Asian lady who works there. I walk in clearly with clothes in my hand to be cleaned and she looks me up and down and says nothing. However, I figure your normal looking "Orinda" resident walks in and while she is helping someone she acknowledges them. She could clearly multi task when she wants too. read more

I'm totally impressed with Mary the owner of this shop. I have been here two times since moving to Orinda and both times I've had amazing experiences. Very first time I visited this shop, there was damage to one of my favorite expensive sweater's gold buttons. I was very upset but the owner Marian took care of this very promptly. She spent time to contact the Neiman Marcus department store to get the buttons but unfortunately, they don't have the buttons. She found another shop to repair the buttons and it came back exactly as new. I can tell she had gone above and beyond to make a customer hundred percent satisfied and I am. Initial experience was not great but she turned it around and my cleaning experience even better. Second time, they found my favorite earrings in a pocket. I thought I had lost them. Clean Cleaners has done a great job dry cleaning my clothes for years. This family owned business is always friendly when I unload a bundle of clothes that need to be dry cleaned or washed and pressed. Sometimes when I eat something that has stained the outfit severely, they point it out and ask to try cleaning it again. They are conscientious of the environment, so they offer green bags at a small charge instead of plastic bags to cover the garments which you keep. Large items such as comforters can be washed there.
