The Claymore Hotel is an attractive Victorian residence with a pretty view overlooking the Cluniemore Hills.
My bedroom was small but ample for a single person, comfortable, clean and welcoming. There was good heating (which I needed after getting soaked out walking), colour TV, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, tea/coffee trays etc. I had requested a bath but was given a room with shower which was ok but I would have preferred a bath.
Car parking was to the rear of the hotel but it was quite a small area and I got the last space.
The dinner menu was average, I thought the food was fairly expensive for what was offered and also the choices were limited.
Dinner and breakfast was taken in the conservatory which I found cold both times.
It was good value and the staff were friendly. read more
